Reminds me of the recent burger fashion in Warsaw. The prices some venues charge for what is basically a burger with French fries and some veggies. Mind boggling.
Some of those places are very very good. I've been to Burger Kitchen (on Widok) a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Last time I was there I had the house burger with two patties and fries and an Oreo shake. The bill was 52zl. That's double what one would pay at Burger King or McDonalds. So was the meal overpriced? No; that food was many times better than what one would get at Burger King or McDonalds. I'd certainly prefer to go to Burger Kitchen once than to go to Burger King or McDonalds twice.
I do not care a fig for some charolais in the intercontinental.
There isn't really much point in going there for that (unless somebody else is paying, which is why I was there).
befsztyk.pl/index.php has better meat at far better prices and steak is pretty simple to cook really.
We go since ages to a local place which is not fashionable - thanks God no expats there
I can't understand the people who refuse to go to places just because other foreigners might be there; that's as sensible as refusing to go somewhere because Poles go there!
