Poland 'worried' by Court school crucifix ban

No good idea to stir up sh'it Crowie...even german schools keep their crucifixes...there is no EU-crucifix "ban"!

Here the background to that discussion....you really should use other sources Crowie:

bbc.co.uk/news/10456956

...
This case against crucifixes was brought by a woman who argued that her children had a right to a secular education under Italy's constitution.

Last year the court agreed with the mother, saying parents should be able to bring up children as they saw fit.

How horrible...."parents should be able to bring up their children as they saw fit"???
How dare the EU-court!!!!

nor me, nor my people said `thank you`. You have absolutely wrong insight into the situation on terrain.

71% is a darn big part of your people!

And if that number is wrong then where is the uprising of the proud serbian people overthrowing a government they don't agree with???
You can talk about international conspiracies as long as you want to but no Serb is doing something about it. No fighting at all.

That leaves only two possibilities...you and Tasi here are really some freaks who are laughed about home in Belgrade (every country has it's nutters on the fringes after all)

or

There is a majority of Serbs who share your opinions but are to much cowards to do anything about it. Cowards and weaklings with only big mouths!

What is it Crowie?

People, please take that into consideration.

Yeah...what does that mean?
That you and Crow are so not an example of the average Serbian but rather some freaks? Hmmm...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accession_of_Serbia_to_the_European_Union

....
According to a survey by the Centre for Free Elections and Democracy, as of November 2009[update], support for accession among Serbians was 71 percent.[16

It seems 71% of you Serbs have no problems with Germany, the West, the Nato etc. at all....and no pride whatsoever!
And you are no honorable warriors either as Crows wants us to believe...you did let take Kosovo from you and now start to lick EU-boots...and no meaningful resistance at all besides a big mouth.

Weaklings!

But then...being owned by the Turks of all people for half a millennia has to leave marks on a people somehow!

You are humiliating Serbs (including me now) when you are assuming that any of us is declaring himself/herself as a German.

----> Sascha

Serbs hate Germans,

But they are not above to take german money and begging for enty into a german led organization...so much for pride, eh Tasi ?

You are crazy people! You are consistently humiliating yourselves!
Big dicks and small brains like monkeys are the reasons for that...but then you people are proud of that too... ;)

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

Is Nazi actions aren't considered the worst in history, why is it that it's acceptable to go to a party dressed as an English soldier from the 1800s or a Roman footsoldier, but not as a member of the SS?

Well...give some more 50 years ;)

I doubt the relatives of the starved Indian or the slaughtered Mau Mau would be keen on your uniform either.
Nor did the gaul slaves love to be clothed like their murderers and enslavers.

But there are already alot of Waffen-SS reenactment groups quite active...

Do you not think the Nazis are bad?

The Nazis were bad, period!
But saying they had an monopoly on badness is just plain wrong, sorry. And especially coming from a Brit, excuse me...

To say, "Clean up your own imperial history" in response to my post is ultimately nonsense - the Nazis were Evil.

You didn't hear that often enough it seems. Get used to it.
And even if you don't want to hear it....there is no difference between the british soldier killing a Mau Mau child and german soldier killing a jewish child.

Sorry for you but every difference you try to make up to somehow make the actions of your own soldiers as not as look as bad are just artificial...both are "evil" as you say so nice.

The fact that I have terrible things in my history does not prohibit me from criticising another regime.

If you want to put them on a pedestal for apologizing for your own black spots of history as "not as bad"...of course!

See? Americans call you Dutch! So therefore, in English, you are Dutch!

Manno, it's the Amis....they couldn't differentiate between us if their life depends on it.
Do you really want to use THEM as proof??? ;):):)

We know better... ;)

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

In the case of Holland lack of means only!
Lots of Dutchies were proud members of the Waffen-SS...being great little Nazis.

But even so:

Colonial atrocities explode myth of Dutch tolerance

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

Britain may have a very bloody imperial history, but please, we're not as bad as the Nazis!

You were worse....wanna count corpses?
How do you think the British empire came to rule half of the world once? Peacefully?
And how do you think the enslaving and exploitation of whole countries worked?
The natives just smiled and nodded?

monbiot.com/archives/2005/12/27/how-britain-denies-its-holocausts

...
In his book Late Victorian Holocausts, published in 2001, Mike Davis tells the story of the famines which killed between 12 and 29 million Indians(1). These people were, he demonstrates, murdered by British state policy.
...
Within the labour camps, the workers were given less food than the inmates of Buchenwald. In 1877, monthly mortality in the camps equated to an annual death rate of 94%.

That happened during the 50's...probably the same soldiers fighting for the "freedom of the western civilization" against the mean Nazi pigs shortly before...now shove your self-righteousness where the sun doesn't shine!

BB is German and loves the nazi's ;)

...and Currywurst! ;)

News / People says that EU bringing many nice things to Poland. Tell me about it [104]

Back in time EU used to be known as Austro-Hungaria

No it wasn't...Germany, France, GB and the rest of the gang weren't included...

on Polishforums?

Well...that is your preferred battlefield anyhow, isn't it? Big words and all that... ;)

you have wrong informations. If Serbia ever become member of EU it won`t be joining (or accession) but it would be simple annexation by EU.

Well...as brave warriors the Serbs are they will surely fight the annexation with all they have, won't they! With you of course first on the front line! You won't just surrender without a fight as you did with Kosovo....oopsie...

Can't wait to see that.. ;)

The old 'axis' is rolling again. That's ok for you? What about the 'sense of community'?

Yeah...what about?

All those who whine about mighty bad Germans holding up the hands for money at the same time I might ask where is YOUR sense of community? What about you helping Germany with the task of the re-unification? Or during the crisis???

Remind about your support please...because I can't remember any. Even as Germany was worn down by the brunt of the task it was gloated at as the "sick man of Europe" but still demanded of to pay her full share to keep the EU and you slackers running!

"Sense of community" should go two ways, don't you think?

But as Germans see it your sense of community goes only so far to see Germany as the eierlegende Wollmilchsau which should shut up otherwise or else it's called "axis" and whatnot.

That does more for endangering any "sense of community" than anything else.

I met Poles during holiday and they who I spoke to miss the 'old times'. Seems that money is not all after all.

Ostalgia!
You find that everywhere...it's human. But in the end the youth will win out and they don't want any of that back ;)

I really wish the governments would now actually start acting after the will of their people...neither do the EUers want the Turks nor do the Turks want the EUers!

So please stop the horrible game about pretending to work towards a future membership already now! Please!

History / Maus by Vladek Spiegelman - animals to represent Poles? [68]

That the German soldiers referred to Poles as swines, you are already familiar with.

And a jewish holocaust survivor should use Nazi propaganda because.....?

(And Spiegelman should have then drawn Jews as rats...because that had been Nazi-propaganda too)

History / Maus by Vladek Spiegelman - animals to represent Poles? [68]

Do you have a link for that?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maus
After the comic was released in Poland many Poles found it offensive to be represented by pigs. However, there are many Polish characters who are portrayed sympathetically or positively such as the Spiegelmans' governess or Mrs. Motonowa who hides Vladek and Anja at great personal risk.

Spiegelman explained that he chose pigs in good faith because of their resemblance to famous American cartoon characters like Miss Piggy and Porky Pig. Many times in Maus the Poles are very selfish and do not want to have anything to do with the Jews.[5][6]

News / EU presidency to cost Poland 110 million euro [33]

Is the EU presidency worth 110 million euro? It is indeed a prestigious thing but still i don't think it would make any diffrence on Polands impact in europe

If being for 6 month the center of the EU won't make any impact on Polands standing then what will (besides the coming football EC)...

It's a make or break possibility for Poland! The performance will be remembered...
