UK, Ireland / WHAT IS IT ABOUT POLISH PEOPLE THAT MAKES THEM THINK THAT UK WANTS THEM? [309]

So you have few Poles taking advantage of a system costing few million pounds a year and that makes you angry, I can sympathize with you but your government raises VAT tax then spends billions of pounds in war so some corporation can profit then it allows banks in city of London to still billions more from English tax payers , every banking fraud is run in city of London and yet you are upset at Poles.

exactly Marek, like I said, its peanuts when you look at the bigger picture. Some people find it hard to do that.

'So its not a bad screw for those with a few kids' - how is it a 'screw' Amathyst? I receive £140 a month for two children, and it gets spent on them, not me.

Let me illustrate my point Payouts per child for child welfare in Poland = £3:62pm per chlld . Same child benefit in UK = £3,600.62 pm . Slight exaggeration on both parts as I don't actually know the exact amounts. Can someone enlighten me please.

indoctrination and uninformed intellect.

quite.
I think CB in POland is approx 10 euro a month, in UK it's about 70 pounds a month depending on the child.

Anyway it's really all peanuts in the greater scheme of things.

An honest question - how much is the dole that they can earn more than working ????

the actual 'dole' is not that much, i think about £65 a week for a single person, but if you live in a high rent area like London, the rent being covered by the parallel 'housing benefit' is a big plus, and you don't have to pay council tax either. Then of course it can all be topped up with casual cash in hand jobs. Add it all up and it's equivalent to a normal salary.

'The thread topic it is BS contrived in that way to insult' sorry Ironside and Pam, I should not have risen to it, what I posted was very personal and to do with various BS that is going on with me at the moment. I usually try not to cause offence.

Cause we are in good with the Chinese, we'll borrow the money and give it to the IMF for ya.

oooh you lot are in for a serious shock when the Chinese start using their stash of dollars.

In answer to the OP, I think it's called arrogance. I personally know one couple with rotten teeth and no jobs (cause they can 'earn' more on the dole and don't have to pay child maintenance)

who spend their time moaning about 'dirty Pakis' and laughing about 'slitty eyes'. Still there ya go..

If I pick my moment and whisper in their ear as they disembark....'get the f*** out my country you wh***' then I will wager that they will think twice before making another phone call in public. Win win situation.

you're nasty.
You can think what you like, but on a personal level, that's not necessary.
Oh and why w.hore? Do you have some problem with your mother?

News / Becoming non-EUnuch -> giving up your share of handouts. [36]

Considering it's location, there is no reason why Greece cannot do more exporting.

and what would it export? Olives?
if you mean to be a container port for Europe, there's already Naples.

Love / Polish girls want to be dominated. Fact? [63]

But remember that domination over a girl must be based on certain real assets of yours: intellect, sense of humour, smell, looks, Rockefeller wallet, generosity, gentlehood, huge member etc etc.

lolzzzzz, you got it Pawian..

One of things I do love most about Polish is how badly it translate directly into English. I have zero clue what you just said.

yeh, it's all
Greek to me, too....

Life / Is Poland a poor country? [578]

as well as getting your divvy from the Co-op.

you such an old socialist jon.... the coop is sooooooooooooo expensive these days...you would need a bloody divvy if u shopped there.
Lidl and Aldi rule, I am sure Polish and UK food prices are much the same. These days we are all poor, but living in countries with lots of rich people around.

Just a passing thought....are Lidl and Aldi part of the sinister German takeover of Europe?

Food / Anybody in Poland actually eats soup-mix soups? [27]

post 12 was clearly a comment about how Polonius wouldn't know about fresh food, "being American.", and it was that to which I was referring, (obviously).

Language / pronounce "Kocham CiÄ™" [57]

"Cock-ham chair" and if I said that to my wife, the best response would be, "okay darling haven't tried that before, let's go"

lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...trying to reproduce Polish pronunciation in English is sooooo tricky...

UK, Ireland / Unemployed Poles in Ireland : a crash course in milking the system [323]

in the UK and Ireland our citizens generally do not sit on the dole for as long as possible waiting for the handouts.

oh they do though, WB, I know of families in Brighton/Hove for example that have three generations on the dole, expecting council houses as a right, and with no intention of ever getting a job.

News / Icy blast cleans the streets of the homeless in Poland.. [63]

if you were on the streets PP, you might want some dope or booze to take the edge off your misery.
The way to make a beggar really happy is to give him a ready rolled joint..;)
I say 'him' as it is usually men... I wonder why that is?

News / Poland and the European Union Fund Allocations [59]

right. Also probably not a massive figure compared to how much the normal hard working Polish people contribute to the UK economy. However without reliable figures, it's all just conjecture.

I have met many Polish people here, with their own businesses or with regular jobs, plus one or two losers on benefits....sadly though it is all anecdotal evidence.

News / Icy blast cleans the streets of the homeless in Poland.. [63]

People addicted to alcohol - yes, they drink even in freezing cold (don't you know that vodka warms up?)

thing is it actually doesn't, it reduces the body temperature whilst fooling the drinker that he/she is warming up.
It is very dangerous to drink spirits outdoors in such weather.
Anyway good thread, maybe the OP is right, we are all guilty of ignoring the problem.

News / Icy blast cleans the streets of the homeless in Poland.. [63]

nature's way of removing life's failures from the world?

that's so nasty. Even your thread title refers to the homeless as dirt.
Homelessness can happen to anyone, whether through mismanagement, addictions, or pure bad luck.
One day you could be sleeping on a park bench yourself.

Study / Shocking! Test standards in Polish schools. [165]

Just a few ideas ...

Oh OK I see, fair enough.
Maybe advertise for someone with FCE, as well as a degree, they must exist....
Matura test for English seems a bit low for this kind of thing it is true. But then isn't it only equivalent to GCSE? Or will that start another debate?

I wonder how well a British kid with GCSE French say, could do.
No doubt that school test standards are not great anywhere.

Study / Shocking! Test standards in Polish schools. [165]

There are only two indefinite articles in the quote!

I thought I counted 4 but there ya go.
Anyway..more to the point.....if Stu's company wants people to talk on the phone why is he complaining about their written English?

Study / Shocking! Test standards in Polish schools. [165]

Sorry but I don't buy it. What are the chances that a person write words such as leader, team or upgrade without mistakes but can't spell "family" correctly

you have a point there...these do not sound like 'normal' errors..for example too many indefinite articles..besides, Stu, you said you were after people with spoken language skills, which is quite different. Why not advertise directly for the people with the skills you need?
