Food / How toxic is industrial salt? (some food factories in Poland used it for sausages) [49]

Gee, what do I do with the two jars of Polish sauerkraut that I have on the shelf?

you could do what my dad does with his jar of sauerkraut, he leaves it in the cupboard all year and brings it out for Christmas dinner. Nobody eats it, so he puts it back in the cupboard for another year. (Sadly after about seven years his wife noticed the sell by date and chucked it)

Work / Cost of Living, Average Salaries and Job sites in Poland [263]

Nopes, I mean 18600 PLN - eighteen thousand six hundred.

You should be fine if you eat in cheap restaurants and live on the high floors of a block. I earn around the same and do just fine. You may need to do overtime once and a while to foot the monthly bills.

I bet you earn nothing like that.
So why did you say....
.

you mean 1860 PLN

??

Anyway .......whatever.

News / FEMI-FASCISTS MARCH AGAIN IN POLAND [126]

Fanatical feminists took to the streets of Warsaw and other cities, shouting their typical anti-male and libertine, pro-abortion, anti-religious and pro-homosexual slogans

"fanatical feminists" FGS.

Love / Do Irish / British guys like Polish girls? [138]

Common topics which you can discuss with an average Irish men are - football, rugby, mortgage, making money, spending money, mortgage, making money, sportand making more money. NOTHING ABOUT CLUTURE, BOOKS, TRAVELS;

that says more about the kind of people you hang around with than anything else......

Life / History of Dzień Kobiet (Women's Day) in Poland: [13]

I was amazed to receive some virtual flowers from my other half, until I read this thread, I did not know it was a Polish thing.

But I have to agree with Amathyst.

Work / Briton teaching freelance - and the law in Poland [21]

Well, I am amazed at that being possible in Poland, in the UK teachers of, for example, French or German, would be lost if they couldn't communicate grammar and syntax ideas in the student's native language of English.

That is where some training might be useful, as what you have said there shows you might be a bit lost on a practical level.

PM me and I can send you some ideas/material sources for 'conversation' lessons if you like. I was teaching English for many years.
Careful with the Polish, their grammar is fantastic.
Go with the good advice of Mafketis and do not try and explain grammar yet.

History / Wrocław's Train Station: Not A Happy Place. [39]

I was there with my kids in 2009 I think, it was very cold and gloomy with a one legged tramp sitting in a pool of p.iss and vile old lav attendants screaming BEZAHLEN at me.

I liked the architecture tho............

News / More anti Polish sentiment in western media ("Apple is worth more than Poland") [110]

People are conditioned to think and connect Poles with adjectives such as "idiot", and "failure". Read a little bit on psychology you uneducated moron.

which people? here in the UK I never picked up on that at all. In fact, you are the first person to have mentioned 'idiot' and 'failure' in relation to Polish people.

Irish 'jokes' and stereotypes on the other hand.....well...yeh, definitely.

Love / Indian wife wants divorce from her Polish husband just after two months. [52]

it wasn't your opinion that bothered me it was your snide tone and assumptions about "husband" 'Roma' and 'pocket change'. If what I said is your idea of an 'explosive rant' you must have had a very sheltered life.

Hey here's an idea, why not post under your usual name?

.such a crazy foulmouthed and infantile response from you! Your immaturity is pitiful. Were you really raised that way? Whoever had that unfortunate job would be really disappointed in you and themselves; I'm sure of it!

you see you have to be nasty on a deeply personal level, by insulting my parents and suggesting I have mental health problems. I just presented a different view from yours. That is the point of a forum. If you don't like that, then obviously you have a problem, not me. I find you pitiful.

don't be stupid and nasty, she was already here on a student visa, so must have paid alot for her course. Also, if it was a postgraduate course, she would have had no problem staying on afterwards.

Besides, if it was a business deal, they wouldn't be having a relationship, don't you know jackshit?
Also why not post under your usual name? Or would that be too embarrassing?

Love / Met this gorgeous Polish lady [27]

Very true. Polish girls and other Slavic girls are known for putting out easily.

Love / Met this gorgeous Polish lady [27]

I think that Polish girls are a bit more conservative and well-mannered than British ones and that's definitely a good thing,

no they're not, sorry. I won't give any concrete examples for fear of being offensive, but trust me you are mistaken.
