Food / What made in Poland produce would you recommend [110]

Hey, berni, hats off! :):):)

To say that Polish chocolate is equally as good as Swiss is a joke,

You rely on stereotypes too much. :):):):)

Polish hand-painted Christmas tree baubles are certainly a hit in the USA and elsewhere: and more: wroclaw.olx.pl/bombki-na-choinke-iid-49544272

Life / Is Poland a poor country? [578]

we would've had unemployment like Spain or Greece if Poles weren't allowed to live and work in the EU

Silly argument. Are the Spanish and Greeks banned to work in EU?

Life / Where have all the carollers in Poland gone? [9]

The carollers have come! You would never believe - three gypsy teenagers, two pretty girls and one short boy with golden dyed hair and funny sunglasses.. The girls sang in perfect Polish, the boy pretended to sing. Then they sang in Romanian. Wonderful! Amazing!

Life / Do Polish people know a lot about the world ? [16]

You know how that sounds?

No....
How? Enlighten me...... :):):)

here are a few countries beside Poland that discovered the wheel and gave up hunting a few years ago.

Of course. But many still didn`t..... Come on, don`t pretend you know nothing about it.

Life / Do Polish people know a lot about the world ? [16]

i am very "poor". I am Brazilian, she asked if we have roads in Brazil

Most Poles know that Brazilians have roads through the jungle to reach distant areas when they hunt for or gather food in the wilderness. The woman who didn`t know it was really dumb.

Travel / The Magnificent Beauty of Nature's Landscapes in Poland [44]

My parents used to ship me off to summer camps there.

Like many people attracted to the beauty of the Mazurian lakes.

The entire summer depended on the random choice of your paddling/rowing partner.

Your life may depend on it, too:

Tatra Mountains around Zakopane are the most popular mountain range in Poland.

It is recommended to take a raft ride along Dunajec River in Pieniny Mountains to get stunning views:

I don`t need to go the the Sahara as we have our own desert :

We talked about mountains, lakes, rivers, deserts.
What is left?
The Baltic seaside. Not as warm as the waters in Greece, Spain or Italy, but still enough for people not afraid of the cool temperatures.

Oops, yes, sometimes it gets crowded

Crowded Baltic

But it only depends on your choice of resort. If you chose the most famous, don`t complain about the crowd:

You can still find fine beaches not spoilt by tourism.

We haven`t talked about Białowieski National Reserve yet which hosts the primeval forest with the biggest population of European bison.

The forest was declared a hunting reserve in 1541 to protect bison. In 1557, the forest charter was issued, under which a special board was established to examine forest usage. In 1639 King Władysław IV Waza issued the "Białowieża royal forest decree" (Ordynacja Puszczy J.K. Mości leśnictwa Białowieskiego). The document freed all peasants living in the forest in exchange for their service as osocznicy, or royal foresters. They were also freed of taxes in exchange for taking care of the forest. The forest was divided onto 12 triangular areas (straże) with a centre in Białowieża.

Bieszczady Mountains - considered the outback of Poland. When tired of being in the fast lane for too long, go to Bieszczady. Spectacular views, pristine nature, unique atmosphere.

Life / Fashion and Style in Poland [174]

I want to send something THAT suggestive, but to get the jist of what you're saying something that's a bit of a funny graphic tee?

To be honest - kids in Poland wear anything. One of the toughest boys in my school school wears a grey hoodie with a big oldfashioned ad of Pepsi Cola.

No, you are thinking of East Germans.

now from canada to the states?

No, in the opposite direction, from States to Canada. That`s what I would do, anyway.

but as for me i will remember all what he has done for me and for our coming baby.

Yes, he gave the baby life and you eternal happiness. That`s a lot and shouldn`t be forgotten, indeed.

Thanks again for advice.

You`re welcome

News / Wigilia for homeless & needy [18]

I heard the interviewed guests. Some claimed they came from other cities all over Poland to attend the supper. Let`s be honest - most of these people are not really poor - they are simply lonely and long for contact with another Man.

Pawian I hope it tastes better than it looks. Fish soup with the heads

Ooops, get updated a little, Ant. You are answering a question from page 1 of this thread: https://polishforums.com/food/non-poles-think-eating-following-foods-51037/#msg1098621
while we are on page No 61 here!!!

Guys, what is wrong with you??? Why do you keep going back to such old riddles???

Is it something to do with the fish scales?

Hmmm, lemme think.
I think there is very little connection with fish scale.

News / Failures of Poland and Tusk`s government [191]

No. Enlighten me.

It is very easy explanation: in both recent elections Tusk`s party didn`t win the majority. They had to form a coalition which has a very narrow majority of a few votes.

So what if it's a leftist site? Even if it were a revolutionary communist site, it doesn't necessarily mean they're lying about something or wrong about a particular matter.
Anyone can distort facts to suit their own ends, left, right and centre.

Of course, you are right.

I was laughing at gumishu who finally revealed his true leftist agenda, which is somewhat surprising. :):):):)

News / Failures of Poland and Tusk`s government [191]

i was doing a research and found it - Gierek's debts have at least been invested in factories that we have sold for bilions of dollars

Sorry, you haven`t done enough research - you are searching for any sites at random, finding the ones which actually contradict what you are saying!!! E.g. the site you have just shown us contains this sentence:

Only 20% of loaned money was used on investment and new technologies in industry. About 65% was spent on materials and resources.

Better be careful next time!! :):):):)

News / Failures of Poland and Tusk`s government [191]

Such claims do not exonerate Tusk's government from betraying their electorate by doing the exact opposite of what they pledged they were going to do. That's by far the most glaring failure of the Tusk government - they failed to do what they were elected to do.

The fact that Tusk didn`t fulfill his promises doesn`t exonerate you from thinking.

Do you have the slightest idea why he didn`t?

przeglad-tygodnik

Funny that you use a leftist site as an argument. Do you read them often? :):):)

UK, Ireland / I am Polish and live in UK and i am pregnant! I need your help! [30]

what is the trick? please i sincerely need your help

The trick is that one of the mods is pretending to be you.
Of course, it is a major mistake since on Christmas Eve all Polish guys are busy preparing for Supper, instead of making up incredible stories on the Internet!!!

News / Failures of Poland and Tusk`s government [191]

Insanity indeed, and the specter of Greece is looming over Poland

Guys, be reasonable. Poland will never reach Greek levels of debt.

I've got to hand it to them, though - I don't think the world has yet seen a country that can raise taxes, rack up debt like there's no tomorrow and do it when the economy is GROWING. And maintain popularity among the electorate! Insanity!

It is not insanity, but wisdom. What opposition parties propose to do with Polish economy after winning elections would be much worse than current government.

Recently I heard some elderly guy saying that Tusk within a few years managed to brainwash Poles more than communists over the decades, unfortunately he's probably right.

If you consider it Tusk`s success, you should write it in another thread, then. :):):):)
