UK, Ireland / Poland continues to milk Ireland dry. [129]

What sort of shmuck would leech over in the UK on a third of that when they can get much more at home?

someone who feels more at home in London cos Ireland is full of showers and douchebags like you, I guess. I know plenty of them.

What is his disability? Failed lobotomy?

good argument RN, very good.

Why would an Irish person remain on the dole in england when the dole is three times higher in Ireland?

plenty of them RN.....
somebody I know thought he would return 'home' but found as a disabled person the facilities and services for him were far better in UK...so back he came telling tales of disgust with his 'homeland' which was, in his words, 'awash with heroin and greedy feckers'.

Maybe that's why....?
Also, has it ever occurred to you that so many Irish leave because they do not like it there?

it is such a gamble Noreen as to what kind of family you might get. It might be fantastic, it could be a nightmare. I know cos I used to teach English to a class of au pairs.....they had some stories, you can imagine.

There are online agencies....
if you like, PM me, I could put an advert up for you in the local university here, you might get an academic family......
as long as you know it's a gamble and come with enough money to get home in an emergency....

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

Those people had material wealth but no culture.

oh right, we have no 'culture' in London....I see...
and there was me thinking that some of those milions of visitors came for the art galleries, museums, architecture, parks, unique London life and so on.

How foolish of me, they just came for the pienienze...

Love / Prevention of child abduction by Polish mother. [232]

I pray you never fall into that situation. You are not in an abusive relationship until you get hit or otherwise emotionally or sexually abused

thanks for your prayers. My husband hit me once or twice and shouted at me alot, so I left, it was not that difficult.
What I find insulting is the suggestion that a man should be in control of himself all the time, even under severe provocation, whereas a woman is excused her bad behaviour, as though she cannot be responsible for her actions. Therefore she is expected to be LESSER. And it is feminists that promulgate this view. That is what I mean.

Polishmama if you yourself are in a bad situation, you can leave you know?

Love / Prevention of child abduction by Polish mother. [232]

That includes the hidden nature of female crime which is overshadowed by bogus feminist statistics that constantly focus on "evil males" and "female victims" only.

I agree with you ZIMMY, this focus on the helpless female victim of the evil male is actuallly insulting to women. Unless they live in some backward place that is.

I mean women in the USA/ Europe do have choices, innit?

these statistics do not show what happens to children from disfunctional, or abusive households, where parents do stay together.

yes that would be interesting...

UK, Ireland / Irish Census and number of Polish [46]

A friend of mine is of 100% Irish descent, he denies it however, because of people like you.

yeh I know someone like that too.
I asked him did he not miss Dublin at all and he said no, they were a bunch of nasty fascists....(his words not mine, before anyone starts...)

UK, Ireland / Will I be able to apply for a college in the UK with a Polish qualification [13]

Leeds City College which you want to attend is not a university; it's a college of further education, which has slightly lower entry requirements than a university.

an FE college does GCSE and A level courses, obviously, so your 'slightly lower' comment is a bit odd.
As OP has been educated in the UK, I am sure she has good knowledge of the system, unlike some people who in addition have evidently not even read her question properly.

ffs and what percentage of Irish are 'fluent'?

Geneally colleges ask for good GCSE (they may accept your swiadectwo gimnazjalne)

and you could always sit at least say English and Maths as an external candidate, GCSE, or iGCSE, have a google, yahoo has some answers

Also, some colleges offer a one year GCSE course, which while it would delay you for a year, might be the way forward.

Love / Prevention of child abduction by Polish mother. [232]

When you ask to see your child and her response is 'what's it worth in terms of money?' I think that gives you an idea. Sorry I can't be any more specific.

alot of people simply do not understand that access/ shared care and child support are different issues.
you do know that social services is not only about how clean or well fed a child is right?
As the child get older, and can understand the mother, that would certainly be defined as 'emotional abuse'.
