UK, Ireland / Crying Polish truck driver on British roads is Internet hit [269]

f Lisa from Ice Road Truckers can do it, anyone can. She's hardly a 120kg butch dyke, is she :)

oooh Lisa, my heroine!
I doubt ZIMMY will respond to that, Lisa doesn't fit in to his world view....
I bet she picks up the bill too.

Real Estate / Poland's apartment prices continue to fall [1844]

As usuall the British Tax payer pays for all of the scum of the earth!

so Polish or half Polish kids in the UK are the 'scum of the earth'?
Thanks alot. I bet your wife will be happy when she gives birth to the scum of the earth. If she hasn't divorced you by then.

History / Poland and Polish Anti-Semitism, c. 1918-1939 [148]

If that means a brain transplantation then yes, please do it quickly

how could 'aaliyah' mean brain transplant? (lol)
no, it means a Jewish person emigrating/returning to Israel.
Silly.

Life / Let`s compare prices of services and products in Poland [359]

can you explain this? I don't understand what you mean.

sorry that sentence did sound a bit random...
I mean prescriptions are free if you live in Scotland or Wales, but not if you live in England. Not sure about NI.

Real Estate / Poland's apartment prices continue to fall [1844]

"Kupie mieszkanie w tym bloku. Zainteresowane osoby prosze o kontakt 6 .."
Google translates it to something that makes no sense in English.

I am not trying to be rude but if you need google translate for a simple message like that, (bloku...zaintersowane...kontakt? the clue is the words..?) finding any flat is going to be tricky.

Love / Why are Polish men so scared of women? [8]

Why are Polish men so scared of women?

because Polish women are scary and want to get married and have children? Possibly?

Life / Is Poland a poor country? [578]

..but all in all there is NO WAY I would live back in the UK.......for anyones generalisations, bringing a family up here, rather than in Manchester/ Glasgow is a far better prospect, in many many ways.

I bet you are like those types on the Costas, congratulating themselves on escaping the nasty ol' UK, convinced they are living a Spanish lifestyle, yet speak no more than 15 words of Spanish, and are patronising and racist to the local community.

My apologies in advance if I am wrong.

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

If a woman wants to wear revealing clothes, she should be able to without men assuming she is wearing them only because she wants sex.

OK but if a man was sitting on a bar stool with his shirt undone, legs wide open, tiny shorts, etc..(lol) what would you think he wanted??

I mean one`s own flat, no credit.

ooh you mean just cash on the nail??? Here Pawian, I have sent you to Muswell Hill, a nice leafy area of North London, as my mother had a theory that in life, everyone has to pass through Muswell Hill at some point.

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

I'm assuming that you live 'down south'. In Wales there are very few educated Pokish women.

funnily enuff I am from the south yes, but I live in Wales now. Most Polish workers here are men, the women I have met (not loads) are uni students, or in business, bank clerks or cashiers. The men on the other hand slaughter sheep or sell weed......so, I wonder who is more educated????

I also think that Polish women have a very different view of men. Many of the women seem to place an exaggerated importance on 'having a man'.

yeh they do seem to put up with any amount of shyte......but as you suggest, it's about survival.

As the education system falls apart, more British women are beginning to judge themselves purely in sexual terms, not exactly what the suffragettes died for???

100 per cent agree, I worry for the girls here now.

You mean with a mortgage or rent?
Private or council rent? I had a three bed council flat in London for £320 a month.
Either way it could vary wildly, depending on the area of course, and the type of flat, eg ex - local authority block in a grim suburb or penthouse in a good or central area.

It would also vary on when you bought, and what your mortgage deal was.
For example people within one block might be paying anything between £100 a month or £2000 a month.......
Older people might even still have a rent protected place even if it is from a private landlord, and be paying peanuts.....I think our leaderene did away with protected rents in the 1980s.

So in answer to your question Pawian, how long is a piece of string?
If I went back to London now it would be £1200 minimum, IMO. If I was lucky and not too fussy about the area.
Doubtless some smartarse will now tell me I am sto pro cent wrong.
How about in Warsaw or Krakow? Is there a similar situation?

Travel / Ryanair travel by air - subtle scams to be wary of [98]

admit it RN, you are O'Leary....
But you are right...obviously a company offering ten pound flights is not doing it for charity.
Ryanair have always been terrible. I heard they were going to install pay loos on board? Did that ever happen?
There is one answer of course..........don't fly.
Take the bus from Victoria. No luggage restrictions, no hidden charges....that is if you can face 24 hours surrounded by vodka and kielbasa fumes. Not to mention when everybody takes off their shoes for the night...mmmm.

Life / Which services is Poland still waiting for? [218]

Not in the UK. If it's legal tender then the banks or the post office are obliged to take it.

try GG, to take your penny jar to the bank or post office, they will tell you to do one until it is bagged and counted (by you), I can assure you.

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

well most Polish women I know are highly educated and/or multi lingual while 'western society' seems to be getting progressively less...progressive and many girls want to be pole dancers or WAGS, or get knocked up for a council flat. Just my observation.

Law / Poles think that Germans are the hardest working in Europe... [30]

It has to do mostly with the IQ and historical tradition

maybe but continuing from Grzegorz's point, it has also to do with geography, infrastructure and climate.
For example if Greek people rushed about in 40 degree heat like Northern Europeans do they would be dead in no time..

History / Why WERE Those Death Camps Built in Poland, Then? [47]

admit there's still PLENTY of Poles that use the word "Jew" as an insult,

to be honest Jason I wouldn't take that seriously, it happens here in UK too, the word YID being thrown about meaning 'tight fisted' or 'Tottenham Hotspur supporter', it has become mostly devoid of any further meaning.

Of course it is probably outlawed now like other 'racist' words are, but that doesn't make any difference to the hatred that exists everywhere against one or group or another, it just drives it underground.

Also your OP is the equivalent of me going up to a 25 year old German and saying.."YOU bombed my granny's chipshop'.... I remember once in Munster being told that I (I!!!) had bombed the city. I was like, really, did I?

Additionally I would like to point out that millions of non Jews also died in those camps.

News / Poland's Economy Is Booming! The EU's Success Story? [711]

If you're not Catholiic then i'm the Pope. ;)

OK il papa kiss the ground.
There is no need to be abusive just because somebody has a different point of view to yourself, it's the sign of a poor mind and a lack of education.

You were the one who started about religion and Ireland, although it did seem a bit of a non sequiter to me at the time, yes.

I just meant your family pedigree really isn't interesting, any more than mine would be.
Owned.
