Love / Love without chemistry? (Asian in love with a Polish woman) [195]

Hey you didn't answer me, if you know so much about love than are you married and how long have you been married for? I don't care how old you are, just because you're older doesn't mean you're right. You seem to be from a different era and you sound very bitter towards the young generation.

How long have you been married zuczek? Are you married? I'm not after a shag buddy but i think that it's only right to find someone who cares about you as well as giving you fuzzy feelings. Have you forgotten what it's like to be young? Even if the sex life gets a bit less exciting over time you still have the memories and you can always refresh them when you see fit. All i'm saying is that in my opinion it's essential. And i'd rather die alone than be stuck in a rut with someone who doesn't make my heart beat faster. Might as well get a dog or a cat and cuddle up to them instead of having a husband who is not interested in physical stuff and who thinks that a 'spritual bond' is enough. Lol please, i think you are the one living in a fairytale and there are things your old married friends are not telling you.

Ask anyone who has been married happily for 50 years. You DO form relationships with friends and your mate should be your best friend. You seem to put far too much importance on sex if lust is such a big deal to you. You will look back and say "hey that guy was right" some day. I am sure of it.

if i am to be with someone they just have to 'do it for me' otherwise i'll get bored. i'd rather be alone than have somebody who is nauseatingly all over me and there on my every command. it's not, what you call it, fun, i'm not sure if you know what it is? of course sex is important, why bother tying the knot with somebody if you don't find them sexually attractive, that's why people cheat so much. your vision of love seems to be that one of two old wrinklies sat on the porch watching a sunset. i'm not that old yet! call me a helpless romantic but getting married is a big decision and i'm not gonna do it just because some guy is being nice to me. i wanna look at him and think Phwoarr that's the man i'm gonna marry and go to bed with everynight! :D

Do you just wait for your customer to buy your products, or do you need to advertise, marketing, make them love your products?

no advertising and marketing tricks will help if the product is not good for you, if it gives you an allergic reaction or if it's sh!te, simple as that. you can wrap it up nicely too and make it half price and it still won't sell if it's not compatible. in other words, if it's the right product for ya it don't need advertising, you'll still buy it and keep buying it instead of looking around for other brands.

Do you just simply expect your children to love you, or do you need to do something (a lot, in your whole life) for them, so they will appreciate it and develop the bond with you?

a bond between a mother and her children and a romantic feeling between two grown up people are two VERY different things

"Spark" is a romantic notion and fades like all romantic notions.

if it fades all you have left is a routine. if you can't look at them without that bit of a spark, without a bit of lust, then i think you're not in love. ok so they're there for you and you trust them but so are your friends. you don't have a 'spark' with your friends that's why you don't form relationships with them. dunno about you but i don't want to be stuck in a relationship just because it seems like the right thing to do.

But in general if there ain't a spark there in the first place, why bother trying to create one?

It only happens in films that there's this poor guy who is really nice and sweet and he loves this girl but she doesn't notice him, he is always there for her and one day she suddenly realises that she loves him and they live happily ever after. As a woman knowing what it's like to be in a relationship where the other person loves you and is there for you but there aren't any sparks, it just seemed the right thing to do, i can say that sooner or later it gets too frustrating to carry on. It's not like you don't have a choice, if there's no love then move on and look elsewhere. I have a feeling that the lady in question is only looking for support for the time being, once she finds her 'spark' with another man she'll be gone just like that.

other fall in love with you, you don't deserve to be loved.

you already tried and she told you she doesn't feel the chemistry, how many more things are you gonna do for her to understand you can't make someone fall in love? they either love you or not, you're just putting her on a guilt trip cos if you're so nice she'll feel crap about dumping you.

Love / Love without chemistry? (Asian in love with a Polish woman) [195]

Other couples initially get to each other because of other needs, not chemistry. And love may develop later.

Do Polish women believe in this?

No. If chemistry is not there from the beginning it's not going to 'develop'. You may grow on each other but it's never good to settle down just because it seems safe. In the long run you will find that you can't just wait around for her to love you and you will get impatient, whilst she will start looking around for chemistry elsewhere, it's only natural. You're not a couple of OAP's with no choice but to settle down so please make the right decision and end this unhealthy union.

I have also noticed you are responding in quite a defensive manner to anyone who dares to burst your bubble. If you don't want to hear critisism and if you don't want to hear people saying you are wasting your time then why the hell ask in the first place?

UK, Ireland / British Equivalents to Matura Results [30]

ok so when i put it down as A-level equivalents, do i just write the grade (A, B, C) or do i have to say something about percentages?? also my grades are in Polish and obviously i need to get those correctly, so how would you translate 6(celujÄ…cy), 5(bardzo dobry) and 4(dobry) for example? A, B and C?

In the process of putting a decent cv together i got a bit stuck on this bit. I tried to look online but couldn't find a satisfying answer. I'm not sure if this topic has been covered on here yet, but how do the grades you recieved on the matura exam translate into the British education system grades? I was in the last year to go through the 'stare matury' therefore i had written exams and oral exams, with a grade for each of those, not points or percentages. Is it GCSE's?

Love / Polish men what is the worst thing a girl can do upon first impression? [360]

My answer would be: Fine, have it your way.

and my asnwer is always thank you, why the attitude, they're just being polite??

If you don't want to do something, then you shouldn't do it, and if you think something is wrong or you disagree with her then you should tell her at the moment. (Or when the situation allows it.) Not three months later.

or on the day you're breaking up with her ha ha... i just hate it when somebody has a problem with something and refuses to talk about it even if you ask them, and then they randomly snap one day for no reason cos they've been bottling it up. in a relationship communication is key and yes it's good to think before you say stuff but don't leave it for weeks and months, it's very frustrating. men who agree to anything their missus tells them and then moan about it in the pub to their mates or on the internet are really really sad.

Yeah, they always complain about guys wasting time on computer games, but ofcourse most of those girls can be found on facebook all damn day! Ha! Now I want to hear them say something *really* clever?

what are we supposed to do when you're playing video games? housework?? lol i do like my facebook but if there's something better on the agenda i won't touch my laptop for days. even my bf's ps3 is getting a little dusty now ha ha ha....

I think most girls want to be proud of their guy

why would you wanna date somebody you're not impressed with and proud of? doesn't matter what it is about him but there has to be something, be it success, personality, family values, bedroom skills, anything ;D. if you're not proud to strutt down the street with them then what is the point?

Love / Polish men what is the worst thing a girl can do upon first impression? [360]

Hey i love it when guys get the door first and hold it open for you! I'm not so fussed if a man pulls a chair out cause I don't want to look like a spoilt diva, but it is nice if he makes the effort to get the car door when its raining etc .... these things always go noticed and he will be paid in kind for it later!

Totally agree, quite a few guys i know told me that here in Britain women hate it when you hold doors for them or offer to take their coat, they instantly snap and screech "I can do it myself!!!" What's that all about, does it make them feel inferior or something?? I used to hate it when i was out and about with my ex, not always wearing sensible shoes ;), and he would never hold doors for me and was darting in front of me, i had to ask him to wait up and he'd get all annoyed. Pr*ck. I saw a little scene in town recently and this Polish girl on a day out shopping with her (very smelly) Middle Eastern looking bf trotting on behind him in her little heels asking him to wait and he just barked something at her and carried on chatting on the phone to his mate. Lovely! I'm guessing he paid for all the shopping that SHE was carrying and i expect she would pay him 'in kind' later but there is not need for this rudeness, she's your woman help her out. Unless you were raised in a barn and you don't know any better which in that guys case might've been spot on. A man with no manners and no respect for women is the most hideous creature out there, if you want respect then show some too. Thankfully my current boyfriend is a perfect gentleman :).

don't you think that Fox Mulder has quite slavic face? lol. I can see those wounds made by a Polish man in the past are very deep...

no i think mr Duchovny looks more western if anything despite of his heritage :). whatever he is, i would! ;D and here you are again with the same speculations, can't one have a joke about Polish guys on this forum without at least one of you texas rangers showing up to make a catty comment? :-3 meooow! there is no polish man in my past, not close enough to have mentally scarred me anyway.

This is the 21st century..he should be able to do with himself..

i was merely joking and i'm sure that any guy with half a brain can fix himself a decent meal

someone who expected a free maid is a big turn off..

now where is zimmy when you need him

JustysiaS:
and if you laugh at his jokes (i know they may not be funny but do try.

And look like some halfwit?

The thing about men is that they absolutely love it when you listen to them and let them talk, and yes have a silly giggle at their joke if you see they are nervous, no harm in that and it doesn't make you look silly at all. No point sitting there like an ice queen with a strop on all evening.

I still prefer women doing it and not only because i'm a lazy fock.

i suppose most guys will agree on that, unless the woman in question is a rotten cook
