News / Tusk cracks down on designer drugs ("dopalacze") in Poland [171]

well...
this is perfect example how much Poland is unlawful country. Dopalacze are perfectly legal- they are not prohibited- and, yet, politicians have to show "how much they care about society"- so they are sending SANEPID and other services just to find hooks on them. but, well, those attention ****** will do anything.

History / Why did the reformation not have a huge effect on Poland? [28]

reformation had some influence in Poland- but after war with Sweden (Potop Szwedzki) most protestants had a choice- convert to catholicism or GTFO somewhere else (for example: Bracia Polscy).

Life / Do Polish Marlboros differ? [21]

as far I have been told (i don't smoke, i'm not that stupid)- yes, they differ (quite a lot of smoking Brits told me that)- and they are different from Marlboros made for/in Lithuania (also- quite a lot claims that 'polish' marlboros are better than lithuanian)

News / Why are Czechs more effective than Poles and Poland? [116]

That is not a good thing. You mind telling me what religion the most murderous regimes in human history were?

well... any ideology will be murderous if it's followed without thinking and common sense...

and no- atheism isn't religion (despite religionists' talking)

jeszcze lepiej jest przycisnac kogos kto wierzy... no, wtedy z naukowym uzasadnianiem wiary bedzie duuzo weselej :P

Life / Is Poland split into two religions: catholicism and non-believers? [103]

yes. i hope that thread-creator will understand communistic invention called "wierzący- niepraktykujący" ("believer but not attending to masses etc")- ya know, someone who labell himself as 'catholic' but not going to church (unless its christmas/easter or its a funeral/wedding/christening), someone who claim to love pope but still using condom/pill (sex outside marriage! omfg!), someone who doesn't believe in any of church rules but he/she *have* to have a catholic wedding or funeral etc- in that case, 95% of Poles are catholics; 5% just don't give a sh*te about that.

USA, Canada / polish people in usa that wanted germany to win [34]

Say that on a saturday night here in Poland, and it's likely that you will get your ass kicked.

personally- i reckon germans as much more civilised than russians- and yes, *if* i would *have to* choose, I would rather be under german occupation. but, having to choose between them (i.e. Germans and Russians during 2ww) is like choosing between cholera and black death :|

USA, Canada / US Polonia 70% for Kaczyński [343]

i just wonder- why Polonia has right to vote? i mean: if someone doesn't live in Poland, pay no taxes in Poland- why should he(she) have a right to vote.

Language / Ski Or Ska? - Polish surname endings [44]

Why on earth? For example - Sigmund Jähn is Jähn, not Jahn. No reason why they shouldn't be used elsewhere too.

Nope- in passports etc documents- only letters of alphabet of country issuing it should be used. i.e.- in Poland Jähn Sigmund should be written Jahn. In England, Świętowid should be Swietowid and Miłosz should be Milosz.

and btw, Q V X exist in Polish alphabet- but usually in borrowed words (or obsoletes words, like Xiądz, Xiąże etc).

btw, I hope that you understand fact, that if you want to keep the 'original' written form, you should do it also to cyrillic, greek, hebrew, arabic and few dozens of other scripts :)?

Language / Ski Or Ska? - Polish surname endings [44]

I think the PL rules should be used outside of PL too.

no, they shouldn't. same with Polish letters- they should not be in use in other countries (i.e. in names on passports etc)

I wonder if you could claim racism for that.

you are kidding, aren't you?

Language / About: w tytę [12]

Ożesz w tytę= ożesz w mordę= ja cię kręcę= w mordę jeża etc
it doesn't have any particular meaning; it only express surprise- its a reaction of something surprising and/or unbelievable.
