Love / Filipina having a relationship with a Polish Man [95]

God

god??? God told you to make friends, personally i find the act of making friends more of a natural act rather than seeking advice from the guy in the sky :)

Love / WHY DO POLISH MEN LIE? [150]

I totally agree with. EVERYBODY LIES!!! Now, only problem is how to cover that lie..

lol :) on a serious note though, life is easier if you assume that everybody lies. It enables you to prepare for something somebody tells you to be a lie. I mean if you take somebodies word for something then your assuming.

I was always told "assumptions are the mother of all f*ck ups" I find its always best to check things out ofr yourself.

The head doesn't lie, it's honest.

thats a very good point, the head does know the truth, it always does. The problem with the head though is if it does not like the truth it will create the lie that spills out of the mouth. Or is your statement a lie too :):)

Is that how women are without make-up, ....etc? ...in their natural state? You are too cruel to women.

in a way when women put on make-up they are telling a lie, or at least making an effort to decieve us. lol

That's a lie. (Mother Theresa didn't lie, or wear make-up or color her hair, hmmm, might be something there).

nah she lied, its just she was so good at it nobody ever found out she lied in the first place

Love / WHY DO POLISH MEN LIE? [150]

Let's just think about this for one second, its not just Polish men that lie, or even Polish women or British men & women.

EVERYBODY LIES, big lies, small lies, white lies, whatever you want to call them every human in the world at some point lies. It is just part of human nature to want things to be 'easy' one way of getting out of a situation, avoid conflict, keep a secret or just to gain an advantage is to lie.

The fact is you don't even have to be a certain type of person to lie, rich people lie, poor people lie, short people lie, tall people lie, gay people lie, straight people lie, black people lie, white people lie, i think your getting my point by now :)

Genealogy / Why Polish aren't white?? [272]

The only reason the BNP is gathering support is due to the lack of time given by the British government to the subject of immigration. If Brown and the boys made a few adjustments to our weak immigration system i'm sure you would see support falling for the BNP

Genealogy / Why Polish aren't white?? [272]

Well we know that the Germans should know for sure what white is :) Or should i say Austrians :) The Germans WERE picking and killing anything that wasn't white, that probably inlcuded wasps as well :):)

Life / Gran Torino - Walt Kowalski, the movie [39]

What a great movie, i went to the cinema to watch it and thought it was going to be boring, after however i could not have disagreed more with my first impression.

As for the question, are there really people like that, well i would imagine yes. Look at his character, ex-military, racist, grumpy but a soldier of a man at heart. I should think there are a lot of people a little like Walt if not exactly like him. However the longer time passes the fewer people like him there will be.

History / Battle of Grunwald 1410 The biggest medieval battle. Germans smashed. [174]

hehe yeah, but i read about the battle and watched the movie while i was alive and it lives in me like the game you love to watch again and again ;) if it would be like you said there would be no reason to teach history in schools. or let's say about times before the industial revolution.

to be honest i don't see why they do teach further back than say the industrial revolution, what can we learn in History that life is not going to teach you?? I mean from the victorians, don't throw your poop out of the window, it will attract rats etc etc which bring disease. From the Germans, don't let a mad dictator run the country he will drag you into a war you do not need or want. etc etc etc :)

all the time, without ever reflecting on the past? As brit, do you ever reflect on how things could be different today but for events in the past? There's a lot of history, it'd be a shame to never appreciate it.

what has been has been, i can't change it and to be honest in the here and now it does not 'affect' me, yes it shaped the country etc but does not directly affect me now or have any relevance to the way, i or any other person in my generation live their lives. It dosent' help pay the bills, it does not add any skills to the arsenal!!!

Yeah its fine if you wanna chat round the table about the Romans or something but apart fom that!!!

If people are writing about something that doesn't interest you then don't post in those threads.

Love / Married polish women:Are they hot? [79]

You know when you put down somebody ... sometimes this person becomes very nice to you. Masochistic some times useful method. Anny way I do see some members behaviour here as very disrepectful, I don't know if it is not majority of active last time members. I do find your comments primitive. It is my opinion.

so now your accusing me of appressing other people, especially women, well i think your wrong and in fact i viciously deny it. I'm sorry i might be a lot of things but what you have described is not me!!!!!!!!!!!

I would appreciate it if you don't post about/to me again

thnx

History / Battle of Grunwald 1410 The biggest medieval battle. Germans smashed. [174]

because it's great part of european history. This year I've read a great book about hundred years' war. it was long long time ago but this era is still fascinating. don't tell me that you don't have a football game you love to call to your mind and still feel the same excitement. some ppl have the same with history.

i sort of see what your saying, yes i do have a football match that i can think of again and again and again and enjoy watching the goals. However that was a game while i was alive, its history but recent history that i can remember and not an event that i was no where near being alive for. I have my interests granted, i'm interested in WWII. Its just 1410!!!!! WOW thats going a bit over the top, lol.

Yes, the English once won 5:1 in a friendly against Germany...they like to brag about it even today! :)

lol a friendly :) a world cup qualifier but that is not the game i'm thinking off :):):).

Honestly I've got no idea what are you talking about...

then either forget it or read again :).

geez tornado, why are you in such a hurry to p*ss on their parade? Yeah the people of today had nothing to do with what went on then but you gotta admit the face of europe today might well be much worse for modern day Poles had it not been for that victory by their ancestors.

yes i understand that, however, today is today. Don't we need to think about tommorow now??? :)

Love / Married polish women:Are they hot? [79]

For some reasons you remind me one friend form primary school who used to disturb grils from our class and when some couldn't deal with it - they were becoming meek and submisive.

lol, what do you mean, disturb the girls, what are you alligning me with??

when I read some discussions here I think I am in primary school again.

i will defend myself here and say that i don't speak like i'm from primary school!!!!

Personaly i've not met many married Polish women, so i don't really know, seems like the only polish females that come to the UK are just out of their nappies

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

To me there are jokes about everything you can think of, in all walks of life there are jokes, about ever subject there are jokes. It is the same for many nations around the world. In the UK there are all kind of English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh jokes that us happy islanders tell about each other. In all seriousness, they mean nothing it is exactly what it says on the tin 'A JOKE' wow that was not so hard now was it :).

I'm assuming the Polish can take a good joke about themselves just like anybody else can, there is nothing wrong with good/bad humoured jokes :):). What is the problem with having a laugh at each others expense now and again??? :)

Feedback / The image of Poland according to PolishForums [90]

Of course the view of Poland on this website are going to be distorted, its like looking something up on wikipedia, you don't know where the information has come from or how genuine and true to life it is.

Most of the threads, posts and comments on this website are people's own views or their personal experiences. No website for any nation can possibly give you a 'real' view or discription of Poland.

the views are so different on here, one minute Poland is a 'hell hole' of a country full of racists and the next minute its the business epicentre of Europe where everybody will welcome you into their house and look after you :)

Genealogy / Polish person's average height? [210]

Interesting topic, as i'm not a big fan of looking at blokes closely i can't really comment on them, however women, i think that they are a little below the average height. I don't see many tall Polish women at all. In fact so much so i can't remember the last polish girl i met over 5,5.
