News / Polish Policeman shoots down a foreigner in Warsaw [300]

Damn it..I'm escaping Norway to settle in Poland to get away from just this kind of multicultural experience...and this is what Poland has turned into in a matter of years?

WOW - I wanted to post this same thing, Dariusz. I too am leaving my home-country (USA) to resettle in Poland. You've expressed my feelings exactly.

BTW Dariusz: your post may have qualified you for AJ's Racism Thread. Apparently, we aren't entitled to free-thought in his idealistic, enlightened world.

Poland and Russia are the two places in Europe where Blacks risk getting beaten or killed.

I sometimes think Russia may be the last bastion of hope for those who desire to escape the ever-encroaching Multiculturalist agenda of the NWO/PTB.

USA, Canada / The best 4 of july camp ground (Illinois) [3]

News / Polish Policeman shoots down a foreigner in Warsaw [300]

I don't understand where is a problem.

The problem is: this man should have come to USA illegally. He would be openly-settled and regularly sending money to his Swiss bank account. :)

News / Polish Policeman shoots down a foreigner in Warsaw [300]

It's almost impossible to aim at the leg when a person is aggressive, because that person is constantly moving his body.

Even if he aimed at the thigh, the object moves all the time, and a hit in the abdomen is extremely common.

Absolutely! All these armchair-sharpshooter libtard-types really show their 'true colors' with these screams of racism.

If this were racism, all of these criminal perpetrators would not be in Poland to begin with. Please allow me reiterate:

This incident proves both tragic and unfortunate.

Tragic is that the perpetrator was ever in Poland.

Unfortunate is that Poland has to $hip him home.

:)

As I understand it, loads of ppl started throwing stuff at the police. I would call that making wrong decisions, wouldn't you?

Yes, rioting against the police is never a good way to remain low-key when one is a criminal perpetrator

all hell broke loose with a riot, the guy was shot while trying to get the policeman's gun

Well, this is the fault of the racist host-country who didn't do enough...

Life / Is the word "Polack"rascist? [185]

"Polak" isn't offensive, but "Polack" (pronounced "POE-LACK") is, but it's an American thing really isn't it.

Poles should remove the negative connotation the same way AAs did with 'N166A'.

Then again, I've seen numerous occasions when Pole-Ams call each other 'N166A'.

So yeah, I guess it is an American thing... :)

Life / I was cursing Poland daily, then returned home, but now thinking of going back.. [39]

Our situation (parents) is very similar as is our love for Poland. I just couldn't stand the thought of never returning.

Sometimes you get the feeling you don't fit in and thats how I feel right now. .

Again, I know exactly how you feel. Like you, I never felt as though I fit in here in USA - even before seeing Poland.

But yes, visiting Poland for me was a truly profound experience. It was a homecoming of sorts - I'll move there soon.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. For me, your words particularly ring true. I hope you do make your way to Poland.

Good Luck and See You There! :)

News / Poland standing tall in troubled times [11]

I do agree that this is a major advantage. In NL they privatized these things and look what a mess it is now: in my area I hear that the mail is delivered by four different companies, one for the leaflets, one for the mail up to 20 grammes, one for all the other mail and one for packages :(

Yes, we too have been in this state (of privatization) in USA for some time now: more work for lesser pay and fewer benefits. Good for Poland! :)

News / Komorowski for complex-ridden Poles? [94]

Don't get me started on this.

It's called Citizenship. Same holds true for USA. Any other countries beside these two so far?

Genealogy / Need copy of my father's passport. Does Polish archives have these records? [9]

Hi Helcha -

Given the nature and time-frame of your case, I would suggest you post at the other forum that I recommended above.
The person who may be able to help you out most is a gentleman with the handle (name) of 'poland how'. He's Good!
You may want to post there what you posted here - someone is bound to answer you fairly quickly. It's worth the wait.
As for me, I began the process of acquiring documents a few years ago and, with a Warsaw attorney, finished in 1 year.
Hang in there and don't be discouraged. From what I've seen / read, stranger things have happened. Par for the course.

Keep Me Posted and Good Luck! - Rich :)

PS: The issue of your father obtaining Canadian citizenship amounts to WHEN. He may NOT have lost his Polish citizenship.
The Polish Citizenship Acts of 1920, 1951, and 1962 can be found at the links below, respectively.

That's for the criminal bit, his estate can still be (and is being) sued for civil damages.

Duly noted. :)

discuss Enron or the like in great detail?

You mean like how Kenneth Lay died before his sentencing and went to the Bush compound Paraguay? :)

(BTW, his case was abated - meaning he was never indicted, tried, or convicted in the eyes of the Law)

News / Komorowski for complex-ridden Poles? [94]

I heard someone say recently that Poles with an inferiority complex are voting for Komorowski because they have a low level of national self-worth.

I see Komorowski as lesser evil hence I'll be voting for him.

Interesting Thread, Polonius3. As a newly-confirmed Polish Citizen, I just may vote in "my" first-ever Polish election. :)

Genealogy / Searching for Cousin in Warsaw Poland name:Małgorata Kralczynska [19]

Wow, that's long! And expensive I assume. I hope you will be happy there. Are you retiring?

Actually, from the experiences of others I've read on the internet, 1 year is not too bad. Some claim it to be 3+ years!

Having an attorney acting on one's behalf can be a bit expensive, but it really is the only alternative to the Consulate.

I (unfortunately) will not be retiring, but I'm looking into some potential business prospects; nothing definitive as of yet.

I'm going to Poland next week for a 3 week visit and I'm going to pick up my new dowód osobisty with PESEL.

Wow, good for you! I would've loved to go that route with my PESEL but, unfortunately, I can only do this from USA.

If my experience is any gauge, you are sure to have an absolutely wonderful time there, however short it will seem.

BTW, I was impressed by your quick response to John. Maybe I should have had you do my research and paperwork :)

Genealogy / Searching for Cousin in Warsaw Poland name:Małgorata Kralczynska [19]

Thanks, Bzibzioh. I am elated! I had always wanted to repatriate to Poland, but never knew it was possible until just recently.

The hardest part was locating all of the necessary documents - and, of course, "the waiting" after everything was submitted.

I actually went to Poland to visit relatives and to try to obtain some documents (almost 3 months) and I absolutely loved it!

I retained the services of a Warsaw attorney who was excellent throughout the process - which, all told, was about 1 year.

Unlike some who covet the 'EU Passport', I now await my Polish passport so that I may live, work, and play ... in Poland! :)
