You see.. this statement alone is the reason the rest of Europe will resist your hegemony over them.

Well..Europe resists any form of hegemony by default! Why do you think the history of Europe is such a violent one?

But on the other hand why do you think people chose to buy...say...BMW or Mercedes and not their own, homegrown brands?
THAT is also a kind of hegemony, and they are not resisting, quite the contrary! ;)

You just typified what they fear most.. the loss of their identity as Poles, Greeks, French, English, Italian, Slovenian.. on and on.

Well...money rules, and people enjoy spending their money as French, Greeks, Italian, Slovenians and so on. I don't think they believe they are losing their identity whenever they buy a german gadget...

And Germans frankly don't care what nationality buys our products! So their identities are totally safe ;)

Nahh, not about suffering.. it's about being the friend that has to pick up the bill at the restaurant. That friends grows tired of it.

Well...it isn't for nothing, you know...said friends makes us so successful in the first place.
We are an export nation, the state of our friends is adamant to our own well being.

The EU and the Euro are good for Germany, hence my support! :)

Oh and since Germany retook her natural place on the top in Europe you can take it from me that as long as that stays that way and Germany profits from the EU/the EURO both are going to stay too, fact! ;)

EUROPE .. on the other hand. Good things too, but the German voter will get tired of the Euro, eventually. It's just commonsense. Look man, you think your people are going to want to bail out Portugal? Whoever else? No.. they wont. Who cares.. Death of the Euro will dramtically lower prices , pick up consumption, which will help your economies.

You know that alot of your money is given to weaker US states, don't you?

Well...as you won't abandon the Dollar despite it's bad handling and problems so Europe won't abandon the Euro, which is quite strong and stable

However, EU too is ideologized, hence, Euro is ideologized, like other moneys.

Well, so are all currencies....the Brits are proud of their pound (weak or strong), the Amis are proud of the Dollar and it being a world currency and so on.

Their up and downs and competitiviness to other currencies have been always political tools.

And with all these factors the Euro looks quite good! What on the other hand annoys the doom-sayers... ;)

Why do you wish this currency to fail? Is having a plethora of crowded currencies in mainland Europe so much more preferable?

It must be political reasons, the same people who want to see the EU project fail for whatever small reasons.

But the Euro is alive and kicking, crisis or not...very stable and successful.

When it comes there'll probably be a price hike, like there was in Ireland

I think the danger of partying and throwing money around with banking, housing and credit bubbles should be avoided by Poland...

The Jews for sure prefer living in such countries too...

Problem is you propose arab rule without any possibility of such a free and democratic country.
Show me the arab ruled country which is free, democratic and let's it's Jews live!

The problem is that such a country doesn't exist and "free Palestine" will very probably neither become free and democratic but you still demand from the Jews that they give up their safe haven for your unrealistic ideal only to suffer the inevitable brutal consequences of opression again.

Once the Arabs have proven that they are willing and able to build and live in a democratic society and guarantee all rights to their religious minorities I will change my opinion, promised!

There needs to be equal rights for everyone living between the River Jordan and the sea.

And why do they have to live in the same country?
There would be no country of distinctly jewish character anymore if Jews were forced to become a minority in an arabic country anymore.

Germans in Poland didn't immigrate into Poland, the borders shifted over their heads.
Turks don't get minority rights either...

Oh and not the same Jugendamt crap again....if there was no polish speaking worker around and the contact was only allowed with supervision then it's fairly logical..

They either did take the new citizenship or they had to leave the new Poland.

they said YES we are Polish citizens it's more then we gave them after partitions we are equal as we have voting rights.

Contrary to the polish big scale ethnical cleansing the number of Poles in Prussia actually grew during the partitions. They prospered and many Poles from the other parts immigrated into Prussia...

How many Germans are left in Poland again???
