Law / Help collecting Karta Pobytu in Warsaw [49]

Poland cannot stand alone...economically, militarily, technologically....it needs help and your pride won't let you admit that.

Law / Help collecting Karta Pobytu in Warsaw [49]

The thing that kills me is I have to listen all day to Poles telling me how great and modern this country is....

stop letting your pride run your mouth...

Poles can't seem to do that in large...their pride is so huge they even hurt themselves with their stubbornness.

I have never met a culture that likes to complain more

focus on the things that are right and fix the things that are not...

interesting... anyone else experienced similar...?

Im sure anything you put you name to Mr B would be considered up market, even a chippy at a push :)

as you well know, i never disagree with anything you say ;-)

Anyway if I had money to invest in Poland it would be in a good nail salon

ooh, now theres an idea

I looked at buying a place (sort of a burger/chicken bar serving beer, with seating for about 20 persons etc) about 100 yards from the beach in Jastrembia Gora

yeah - i looked at a similar place in wladyslawowo and came to a similar conclusion plus the ground rent was a little higher than i felt comfortable with... so i bought a bar without the land which is now in storage in kartuzy and will be set up in the centre of wejherowo this summer... if all goes according to plan...

there are a couple of ideal lokals on monte casino that are going for a reasonable rate

Food / Why carp for Polish Christmas? [157]

Just because pisces is represented by the symbol of fish it has nothing to do with Christianity

i wouldnt be so sure of that

the bible, old and new testament, is littered with references/symbolism to astrological ages (taurus, aries, pisces aquarius) - go and read a little more and then come back with some straight facts

Fish is also an ancient symbol of Christ and Christianity

its actually signifies the age of pisces and was adopted by christianity

Love / My Polish wife doesn't want to move to the UK with me - what to do? [96]

what are all you Poles doing in UK...????

trying to make money... ;-)

but most of the young ones in Poland keep telling me that Poland has no future

with so many beautiful polish women meeting english men and then taking them home to meet mum and dad the word is going to spread...

But you are going to have to learn to tell these tourists what a wonderfull place Poland is......that might be a bit tricky

polish tourism is going to boom big time - its inevitable - telling brits what a great country it is isnt a problem - there are a million poles in england doing that already!
