Poland's fidelity to support wars and its limits. [46]
WHEN did Poland SURRENDER to Russia?
All points are good for Poland. Just don't tell me that brave Poland fighted grimly for independance but was vanquished by Russia. So, you can count the train of surrenderings since 1792 if you want; but there was deuge before or Carl XII incursion, though these were Russian's accomplishments only in part.
I can hardly imagine something better for you - as a medium sized nation of 140 millions you are not in position to control the huge area from Moscow to Vladivostok.
You know that it is not a matter of figures, the more you have the more you should protect. The main question is martial bravery and that is not a matter of comparisson between Chinees and Russians. It will be sufficient to remember their "valour" during civil war and Japaneese intervention. Should I help you to remember that it was SU who helped them to rid off Japan?
By third world economy, I mean that Russia's economy is almost entirely based on digging up natural resources like is the case for many third world countries.
But what is wrong with this? Many countries have raw material oriented economical systems - Australia, Canada, Norway, USA (partially), Brazil, South Africa etc. Why you accuse only Russia? Crisis showed us all lacks of western economy, for, I think it is better to produce raw materials and commodities than financial derivatives as USA do it. Do you know any huge Norwegian companies? I can give you a couple of them, only because it is in my professional sphere. It is Yara and NorskHydro. What they produce? Mainly it is fertilizers and oil, i.e. the same raw materials! We have dozens such companies here, one Gazprom five or ten times bigger than NorskHydro.
So, what are you saying about third world? Where is Polan with her soap powders and fizzy waters?
Unfortunately, yes. You are one of those few Russians who seem to be fascinated/attracted by Polishness, remaining deeply suspicious about it at the same time. That makes you hang around Polish forums.
I should admit that you are right! Excepting the fact of my ignorance of Polish language which mourfully reduces my presence on Polish forums to minimum.
I also hate one thing in Russians, I mean this famous Russian desire to be subdued by a master, lord, a "good tsar", "batushka", who is believed to be able to defend Russian peoples. I cannot bear with patience their blind and stupid habit to let themselves be governed by the most brutal rascals available in Russia.
This question should be investigated apart, I could explain you the our habits and customst and where they come from, with more details.
