UK, Ireland / Poles top the UK's EU crime figures [78]

With the Polish American iq being 109 in the 1970's while the U.S white ave was 100
shows how Poles are generally more intelligent under the same circumstances.

it shows absolutely nothing at all. All it shows is that you're overestimating the IQ test results. I'll ask you a question, do you believe that a higher IQ decides whether one is more successful in life?

USA, Canada / Where Polish in NJ live? [58]

I had plenty of Americans thinking that I am trying to overcharge

OK, maybe I'll mention few names to make it sound real. There was a pub in Lublin, they called it Irish Pub "U Szewca". The place was pretty nice, old furniture, the music was better than in any other place in town so we kinda liked it. As you most likely know, in Poland usually people don't pay by delivery as it is in the US so we tried to adjust us to the new situation and paid by the end of the night just like everyone else does it over there. My parents had five beers each and I had three orange juices and our bill was 400 PLN, do you believe that it was right? We sat at the table with some other people and there was an English guy, Jason and his bill was exactly the same as ours, even the same type of drinks including few coffees and ice cream was our bill showing and none of us had it. Maybe I add to it that this pub was known for doing it to people but since it was the best pub in town, it was still always loaded with people anyway. This is just an example out of many. Maybe they were doing it because we were all speaking English but no matter what the reason may have been, it wasn't right. I'm seriously not saying it to bash you guys. If I wouldn't like Poles, I wouldn't be on this forum.

I said don't rob people like hold a knife or gun

to rob someone, it doesn't mean that they have to have a knife or a gun to do it. Well, whether you believe it or not, we got robbed twice in Lublin. No weapons were involved but I was still scared to death. Don't get me wrong, when I say something like that, I'm not trying to say that it happens all the time or that all Poles are like that. When we lived in Mikolajki, nothing really bad ever happened other than being charged more than what we should pay for whatever we ordered. The last is pretty common in Poland.

99.9% of Americans can not tell the difference between Polish and Czech,Ukrainian or Russian.

It's the same in western Europe too but you can't hold it against anyone, no one learns Polish at school other than in Poland.

When I lived in Lublin area, very few people (especially of course older Poles) knew what language we were speaking too. It was quite the opposite with young Poles. No wonder, they learn English at school.

USA, Canada / Thinking about visiting America? Skip it or get molested and arrested for nothing. [79]

Really?

yes, really. If you believe you're smart then tell me why would I lie about it? Do I ever bash Poland? No, I criticize things I don't like in general, it doesn't matter where it is.

Why would you even want to disscus anything with 17 y/o girl?

It's great to be always 17. The truth is, you'd say the same thing about anyone who disagrees with you, grubas.

are You sure they werent coming out of your mouth?

do you see me bashing Poland on PF? I hardly ever say something negative about Poland but you're blind to believe that Poland is a perfect country. I don't spout bs about Poland like many other people on this site do it about America (for example) and if I criticize something then it's based on my personal experiences and not some kind of word of mouth bs.

Yea I didn't ever even here of anyone getting robbed and surely not stabbed or shot in Poland.

well, you're not very well informed then. I know you love Poland and I respect it but your sentence above, shows that this love is blind, PB.

Besides, I didn't say anything about stabbing and shooting but even if I did, it obviously happens in Poland too just like in any other country too.

You mentioned are made only in America,

wrong, I've heard Polish jokes in just about any country I've been to. There would be no need for them if you guys at least try to keep morons like PiastPoland away from posting on public forums.

Most of you are nice and smart people but unfortunately it takes only a few idiots to ruin the reputation of an entire nation.

I am merely replying in the same manner as you are to me

you started with insults, you always do and this is your problem. You can't discuss in a civilized manner.

Its much worse in America, the difference is that it is so ingrained that it is normal and accepted part of the system

tell me, how can you determine whether it's worse here or not? The way you talk about America and I'm trying to insult you now, I would bet any amount of money that you've never even been here. Whatever you post about us, simply doesn't depict the reality here. I lived in Poland between 2003 and 2007 and I've experienced all kinds of things there, some nice and some not at all but whatever it was, I don't generally talk bad about Poland. Just to your information, crime is not a common thing in the US unless one lives in a bad area (mostly in a big city).

Our corruption is nothing compared to US corruption.

corruption is present just about anywhere in Poland. If one tried to bribe a cop giving him $100.00 here, the person will definitely end up in jail. The first thing I've learned when I came to Poland was, don't worry about the cops, just make sure, you "accidentally" drop 100 PLN on your seat before you get out of your car.

History / Why does the idea of a "Slavic Union" with Poland seem so popular on this site? [96]

I didn't lie, did I?

German Americans are citizens of the United States of German ancestry and comprise about 51 million people, or 17% of the U.S. population, the country's largest self-reported ancestral group.

History / What do Poles owe to Russians? [193]

They know nothing about Poland and feed on old stereotypesof Polish poverty, anarchy and stupidity

Pawian, you're talking about stereotypes of others but you're making the same mistake by saying that we (means all of us) don't know anything about Poland.

As long as we won't learn how to discuss, nothing will ever change my friend (I hope you don't mind me calling you that).

Nazi/Germans killed

Rummel estimates the total democide death toll of Nazi Germany to be 21 million.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Holocaust#Victims_and_death_toll

Why even argue how many people were killed. Way too many is the answer but it's time for forgiveness or this killing and hatred will never stop.

Besides, to associate the German nation of today with the Nazis is nicely saying an exaggeration.

Germans are the most vile people to ever live.

No they are not. I lived in Germany and met many Germans there. People are people, everywhere you'll find good and bad people.

Of course 2 world wars where Germans created terrible crimes.

Where do you live PolskiMoc? and if you live in the US, how long?

Soviets killed tens of millions of slavs.

yep, they murdered 42 lmn people, the Nazis about 9 mln. Terrible numbers, everyone knows it but if you're unable to forgive, we'll always have war and hatred all around the world.

Germans are the cancer of humanity.

really? Are you Russian?

here get some taste of that cancer:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Germans

Please don't tell me, that you're an American because I'm gonna have to apologize everyone on PF for your stupidity.

The Nazis did do a lot of bad.

no one denies it but the Soviets did even more (much more)

Back to the topic, no one owes anyone anything. The war is over, move on !!!

What do Germans owe Russians & Poles.

As Germans did so much damage in both world wars to our nations.

Maybe you should read about the damage the Soviets did to humanity before you even start discussing.

USA, Canada / Polish-Americans as seen in the false mirror. Type A and Type B. [141]

By using that "us" and also the "everyone else" ... do you mean Poland = Everyone else; and USA = us ... in your case? ;) ...

us Americans. I don't make any differences between PolAms, GerAms etc. We are all Americans here.
I don't even like to call someone a PolAm or any other ...Am. I see them all as Americans unless one tells me he's a ....Am etc. I don't have any problems with one's ethnicity as long one doesn't harm anyone or anything here.

Now lets say you sold up in PL and decided to move to the states, your money would go a lot further.

true, this is what I've observed in Poland too. It's strange but even though, the average income in Poland is lower, many things seem to be more expensive than here.

But probably over 10, 20 years of living in that "distant" land you'd feel you're both. Some people on this forum say ignorant stuff like 'you have to chose one" when they've never lived a day in another country.

PB, this is very personal and from case to case different. It's a same with people, some stay together for the rest of their days (after getting married) and some love to change partners. In my personal case, I'm married for life.
