Love / Why a polish girl would prefer a relationship with a foreign man? [30]

There were some women who had less alturisic reasons for being with Non Polish men but I've never experienced life as a Polish woman so who am I to criticise.

Here we go again.Do you think that it has anything to do with them being Polish? If so you need to go out some more and stop branding INDIVIDUALS according to their nationality/citizenship.Part of the reason for which one of my American (born and bred) wifes dated me was that she could move out from her father's house and be on my support for some time until she stood on her feet.I learned that later but at the begining she was telling me that she wants me because all American men are dorks. And guess what, there is plenty of American women who date men for "less than alturisic reasons" but it has nothing to do with their nationality or their lives "as American women".

Language / Slavic accent correction [110]

You mean of course that there's going to be considerable variation within specific circumscriebd boundries of both grammar as well as pronunciation, noticable when any group of Slavic speakers independent of each other speak in a foreign language, such as English

Of course this is what I mean.

A Bulgarian, a Slovene, a Russian, a Croat, a Serb along with a Czech or a Slovak will each sound vaguely "Slavic" to the average ear.

This is what meant saying "They can't" because to average US person all East/Central Euros sound Russian.BTW, the nicest thing I ever heard about my accent came from a Lehigh Uni girl who told me that I sound like Roger Federer and she likes it.

from different Slavic countries such as Poland,Ukraine,Russia etc?

They can't.Also, there is no such thing as Slavic accent.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

If they are going to curb access to healthcare and other benefits, I also assume immigrant workers will benefit from lower rates of taxation on their income. It's only fair. Why should they pay for benefits they are not entitled to?I am pretty sure that would work well for Polish migrants who in vast majority already fly to PL for medical treatment.More money left in their pockets.Also,36 MILLION?Is this what the fuss is all about? It is like me trying to save 2 pennies.I find this whole thing to be political issue.

UK, Ireland / Dying Polish woman in the uK whose last wish is to spend last few weeks back in Poland [50]

Actually, we have no governmental jet. The last one crashed near Smoleńsk

Not true! There were 2 TU 154 and one of them is still operational it is just that these "government" (bunch of crooks IMO) c u n t s are now affraid to fly on it.

I assume that Poland is such a dire and terrible place to live.

One should never just assume anything.Poland is not dire nor terrible place to live it's just that wages are lower than in the UK and corruption, nepotism and croynism are rampant.

Food / Are frozen chips a cancer risk? The UK's NHS responds. [21]

Ive seen poles even put bottled water in the kettle to make tea.

And?What's so strange about it?In the US I buy drinking water from a water vending machine,35 cents for a gallon (you have to have your own container). It seems that more people here do it because I doubt this vending machine was installed exclusively for me.Tap water here stinks.

Real Estate / The electricty company want to install another pylon on my farmland to support a 15Kw line [15]

The electricity company sent a document asking for our consent to build another pylon in our field (there is one there already).

You are lucky they have not built it yet like they have on my mom's land. They basically built it first and then mailed her a contract according to which she agrees to and is responsible for everything (like for instance there was a point where she agrees to pay compensation to them (PGE) in case she sell the land and the new owners request money from PGE).They didn't offer a single penny for using my mom's land and my mom will never ever sign this "contract".At this point the case is in Nadzór budowlany.Welcome to Poland!

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

I admit we are compared to many in the world but a lot of us do not have money for a luxurious lifestyle

This is not exactly what I was saying. For some reason vast majority of Americans does not have any cash and to me if you can not come up with some cash at any moment (I mean like within 4 days) you are not rich.Americans do make more than more than Poles but life here is not cheap. As for travelling I can understand them as i just spent 30 hours of my life travelling (door to door) from PL to US and it wasn't much fun frankly. It is not Poland where I can drive to Amsterdam within 11 hours or fly there within 2.

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

they see us as rich

I don't.

but Americans who go to Poland don't call them stupid.

Oh,that's because Americans in America call us stupid.

I think it the Poles in the US can be divided into two groups. The ones here legally, or the Polish-Americans, and all the rest.

You do?I am here legally but I am not Polish American (and I have no intention to become one).

News / Amber Gold and other Poland's suspicious institutions [139]

He is not even yet in jail and probably has a number of "secrets" involving some official names ,people at the highest level of the State or the Polish Courts who helped him and greatly financially benefited from the scam.

You still don't get it,this is exactly why he may "commit suicide".Lately "suicides" are common in PL.Marcin P. was a small scale scammer but tell me where did he get the money (a lot of money) to start Amber Gold?

News / Amber Gold and other Poland's suspicious institutions [139]

The 28 years old founder if found guilty Marcin P must rejoice and think that crime really pays for he faces 5 years in jail and a very small fine compared to what he has probably managed to hide offshore since 2009

He?Are you 7 y/o or what?Marcin P. was only a słup and I wouldn't be surprised if he "commit a suicide" some time soon.

I really hope that the Poles who form one of the most courageous and resilient people on earth will get down on the streets and furiously wipe out all this corruption.

I do too but realistically,it's not happening. It would take a civil war and the whole system change to wipe out all the corruption but Polish society has been pacified meaning that the most rebelious ones were encouraged to leave and now we have to wait for the system to go bankrupt. It is imminent but it will take some time.

Feedback / Why are there so many on here, who do not like Poland [150]

I wonder - would that explanation work for an antisemitism?

No.Polish antisemitism has everything to do with Polish people being backward and ignorant/primitive.It has nothing,I repeat nothing to do with 3.5 million not assimilated Jews living in II RP.No connection whatsoever.

Language / "Taka prawda" - What does this Polish phrase mean? [19]

"Techno pravda"

Never heard anything like that and I am Polish so you couldn't hear it from medias.

"Tak noh pravda" which I would guess means Yes, quite true".

Doubt it.it sounds weird to agree 3 times in 3 words sentence.Polish person would say "Tak, to prawda","No,prawda"'or simply "prawda".

Phonetically, it is something like: "Tak noh pravda"

I guess you mean "Taka prawda".

I'm fairly sure there's an N in it,

Since you insist on "N" then it must be "Gówno prawda" what means "this is not true" but you don't want to speak this kind of language.

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

Except Godson has done far more for Polish people than you ever will.

Fine.Maybe it's time for him to go back where he came from and do something for Nigerians.

Let's see...

See what?I don't care about Belfast,so what's your point exactly?

How about changing the repertoir? :):):):) This old song of yours has become a little boring....

Just admit you are a member and I will leave you alone.

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

But what acts of legislation have either of them authored that significantly improved the quality of life for all Poles?

What are you talking about? This is not how it works in this country. They are there (not only Godson and the other one but all of them) to improve their's (in a broad sense) quality of life and steal as much as they can from Polish people .

The other guy has been in Poland for over 30 years, has children, speaks Polish fluenty and worked at the Economics University in Poznan. All in all, a far better Pole

Say what? He's not even Polish so how can he be better or worse Pole?I don't understand how it is possible that someone not born here can be a lawmaker. This got to change.

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

These aliens give Poles a good example - they have 3, 4 children, while average Polish couple has 1.

Because Polish couple can't afford more children partly thanks to Godson and this other spook. What a FUBAR country Poland has become, murzyny come here and become lawmakers and Polaks work their sorry a s s e s off in Biedronka for 1000 zlotych.WTF?

your post was a tad racist and had a bad tone about it.

Yeah it had a bad tone because it pisses me ******* off, dude.

UK, Ireland / 'Drajwować karę' in the UK? [19]

Yeah,ok but "drajwowac","kara" or "gieradz"(!) is not English. In fact I don't even know what it is.Maybe I am old school but I can't imagine myself talking like that.
