where one could smell alcohol for miles

in the past, when i used to go to discos on Saturdays(good old days ;)) i have seen many girls drunk, vulgar, making out with guys in bushes and having sex in cars... the next day, i have seen them on Sunday mass, in a first row, praying and taking communion...

there is nothing wrong with sleeping in on Sunday, there is nothing wrong with going to Sunday mass... lets just don't go from one extreme to other extreme...

they give it to their local church!!

the cross fight is all about money and power... very much simple it is...

if i saw a cross like that in front of a presidential palace in some other country i visit, i would think it's some fanatic, hard core CC government... lol...

this cross would be well respected in the church were they wanted to move it... this fight now is more about "i was right, you're wrong", and less about the original point...

The school has taken strict measures in order to improve itself.

I like the german/austrian commercials which play with sterotype of poles being thieves (Media Markt ad, and Euro 2008 Poland-Germany ad).

no idea...

American jokes don't make me laugh at all... maybe because i don't see nothing intelligent in this kind of humor...

jokes don't have to be intelligent to be funny and that's OK.... sometimes we don't get jokes because of the language understanding and knowledge of its reality...

The Polish Joke sensitivity is just silly.... Poles making fun of other Poles and getting pissed at the world for it... ;)

the sad truth is that Poles don't know how to laugh at themselves... they take everything too seriously and too personal - attack, argue and kill... just read this forum, lol....

Travel / Getting back to Poland on an old ID. [15]

We contacted the Polish embassy and explained the situation but he cant even get an appointment until after the funeral!!! which obviously is not good
any other suggestions will be good :)

i'm sure the consulate or the embassy will be more helpful then us here... good luck...
