News / Poland's atheist loonies have had their 5 minutes [239]

Tomorrow, everywhere in Poland for the 19th time WOSP will collect money for the children of Poland. Helping without converting. Thousands of volunteers will work for that as they do every year.

Attacked by the crossist smolenkist fraction of this country.

History / Silesia occupation [49]

Good. In the end Europe will be the Europe of regions.
Regions have the right to have their own autonomy. Kaszuby, Slesians...of course they should feel first part of their own nation culturally and socially and often economically as well. A Kaszub is first of all a Kaszub and then a Pole. I do not see anything wrong with that.

After all, the socio-economic needs of Schlesien are far different of Białystok. Just as Flanders has different targets compared to Wallonia... or Catalonia as compared to Basque country...

News / Gazeta Wyborcza of Poland losing readers [301]

Are you applying the same, clearly prejudiced, approach in judging the value of "news"papers as you do in attacking the people whose family members were insulted without any reason?

These "people" every day attack the decent part of society. These smolenkists and crossists are everything what Poland should not be. And judging Julius Streicher's nasz dziennik they are a minority. But they are there.

News / Gazeta Wyborcza of Poland losing readers [301]

People still buy physical papers?

Well, I buy GW on Friday (mainly for "Co jest grane"). I still think reading a paper on "paper" has something. I do not talk about Julius Streicher's nasz dziennik which is a waste of trees of course.

News / Gazeta Wyborcza of Poland losing readers [301]

Numbers are even more impressive when you look into longer period from 2008 GW lost 87 000 readers

All newspapers worldwide loose readers you fascist twit. What is the "reader"ship again for Julius Streicher's nasz dziennik?

As compared to the microscopic "reader" ship of Julius Streicher's "Nasz Dziennik" you mean ?
And looks like all Polish language share my joy.

The Polish language shares your joy? Hmmm...

Love / I was raised in Poland. My Family hates my wife because she's American ... [69]

Górale tend to look down on other Poles. For that matter between themselves they also do that.
My wife is from a Górale family going back 400 years, from Rabka. And the High-Góral part of the family always tend to think they (the Rabka-born ones) are a much-watered down version on the Góral tribe.

Travel / A business trip from Warsaw to Bialystok - transportation? [26]

Ziemowit, you are right of course...
But this is hardly encouraging:

In the new year, old mess at the Central Station. Is not displayed information on most trains, and passengers are surprised that instead of the whole renovating one peron, started only do two. - Please tell me a few months of patience - says Jacek Prześluga the Board of PKP

For thousands of passengers in the last days of traveling by rail once again proved ordeal. In many TLK trains or InterRegio you had to come back after the Christmas break in a huge crush, as substituted by only three or four wagons.

warszawa.gazeta.pl/warszawa/1,95190,8900086,Na_Dworcu_Centralnym_bez_zmian__chaos__nikt_nic_nie.html

In these conditions I also would have a hard time catching the right train :).

Travel / A business trip from Warsaw to Bialystok - transportation? [26]

A group of Belgians I know, are making next week a business trip to Białystok (arriving in Warsaw), and they asked me what the best mode of transport is to get there from Warsaw.

I discouraged them from renting cars, because I doubt if they would get there.
By bus... not the good option...
As for now I advised them to take the train - that is if they do not get lost in Warszawa Centralna :) -.
But are the TLK trains to Białystok OK? I guess in first class they should be.
I noticed there are not going any IC trains there.

News / Poland is important in the global economy crisis? [33]

Every single project in this country is funded by Europe, "atheistic Soviet (if I follow your line of thinking) money". Without Europe you would be literally nowhere at all. "World government". What a joke.

Without Europe you would be nothing. Thinking of your "glorious past" and still complaining everybody is against you.
Ever seen the European flag on the thousands of infrastructure projects in this country?
That's money coming from Brussels, in case you would have forgotten it.

News / Pole-basher Gross up to old tricks [284]

Delph, as often I do agree with you. Although I have to admit that Gross sounds a bit "preachery" at times and wants to press his message home too much.

One of his best books I think is "Revolution from abroad", about the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939.

News / Roma flee home after threats in Silesia [28]

I do not know about robbing. And I doubt that story. Here in Warsaw you see of course the organised "mother+child" combination on the street... In my native Flanders you see the same scenario...They are dropped off in the morning in "mother/child" units by a van, and picked up in the evening. Of course some streetworkers think these people deserve our sympathy.

News / Roma flee home after threats in Silesia [28]

My brother-in-law lives in Kędzierzyn-Kożle. The Kozle part has a particularly high gypsy-density.
Let us say that nobody knows over there from what they get a living, except getting social allowances and producing children by the dozens.

Travel / Train from Katowice to Prague (timetable?) [9]

It is a good thing Katowice (the station not the city) is being bulldozed down and rebuilt underground.
I am passing there frequently because my brother-in-law lives down the line...but boy as Seanus writes...what a depressing place it was/is.

Travel / Train from Katowice to Prague (timetable?) [9]

Just Katowice. The other stations are local ones.
By the way, the Katowice station at the moment is a mess because they are demolishing it to build a new one. Keep your ears open for the announcements. Trains are continuously changing platforms.

USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]

Don't come to Amerika

Why would we Europeans voluntary would like to come to Hamburger Country? Getting humiliated at JFK by a border moron? Yes the Poles mysteriously still think going across the ocean is a kind of deliverance.

And washing the dishes in Chicago on a lousy tourist visa would be deliverance?
Sad.

News / Y Shaped high speed rail line Poland [78]

I think they should spend the money first on upgrading, repairing and maintaining the current network. As I know in the steamtrain age the travel time Warsaw to £ódż was shorter as now.

I read lately somewhere that PKP want to order "Pendolino" trains, but the kind which do not tilt and therefore are completely useless?

USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]

I am still at a loss why anybody voluntary would go to the USA? I do not need a visa but never ever would I consider to go there. That said and done...Poland is doing everything to please the USA...and you still need visa....
