News / MORE ANTI-POLISH SENTIMENT IN GERMANY [280]

OK, if it's so insulting then why the hell a Polish guy plays the main role in this video? If he found it insulting, I guess he wouldn't be in it to begin with.

Eh ? If Polish TV was searching for a German guy creating similar stuff about Germans, paying EUR 10.000 for each 5 min show, I'm sure there would be crowds of Gerries willing to take that "job".

I don't find it insulting, I find it rather pathetic and tasteless but I understand why some people find it insulting. "Don't be so oversensitive" crowd should understand that It's not Allo Allo kind of humor, It's primitive, tasteless stuff.

News / MORE ANTI-POLISH SENTIMENT IN GERMANY [280]

I guess the reason Allo Allo was so popular in Poland was the fact that Poland and Poles were never mentioned once

I'm sure vast majority of Poles wouldn't have been offended If they have included a Polish guy being drunk half the time, stealing German military vehicles, hidding chased by 3 women, each being a mother of his child etc. If it was done the way other nationalities were portrayed there. The problem with German jokes about Poles is that they use to show some guy, who smell of cow ****, his kids are ugly and dirty etc. and that's not funny, that's simply pathetic.

in Poland jokes about Germans are rare and always in good taste.

Law / Poland headed for an accounting disaster? Imports underestimated, no Euro entry [19]

oland headed for an accounting disaster? Imports underestimated

Poland is a mess and It's getting worse each year, Tusk and his clowns are ruining this country, we've got 8% of GDP budget deficit and no realistic plan to reduce it, taxes are going up, bureaucracy is a huge problem and It's getting worse, in rankings of conditions for business we are behind many 3rd world countries, what's worst, we were made nig*ers in our own country, banks and most companies were sold to foreigners, what really matters is not value of good and services produced in Poland but how much local people get out of it, not much really, unless huge changes are made, I don't see Poland ever getting even close to EU average, It will be good If the whole damn thing don't collaps totally, however I don't think GUS is faking statistics... looks like the controversy arose over Poland and Germany reporting much different trade balances with each other, that's due to different methodologies of foreign trade calculations in these countries. For example If goods from China goes to Germany and next to Poland, Gerries classify It as import from China and export to Poland, Poland classify It as import from China, so then the size of export to Poland reported by Germany doesn't add up to the size of import from Germany reported by Poland. Oy vey !

Life / Only the poor Poles are buying at Biedronka? [32]

It was as stupid as when that loser Tusk was blaming the prices of apples and fuel on Kaczynski several years ago, only that time the media saw nothing wrong with that.

UK, Ireland / Business process outsourcing in the UK. [14]

Thanks for the feedback.

There is problem with Indian pronunciation in over the phone customer service.

I heard that, however voice related services seem to be only a small part of this sector.

A person who has experience in accounting in India would charge more.

Very interesting. I would have expected the salary for that job in India to be at lest 2-3 times lower than in Poland.

UK, Ireland / Business process outsourcing in the UK. [14]

How often is simple office work outsourced to low cost countries by British companies ? Actually generally western, not necessarily British... Where does it go to ? Usually India I assume... ? How much does it cost in comparision with Western Europe ? Is there anything wrong with the way they do it ? I ask because in the last few years Poland was flooded with such investments. Generally basic accounting, customer service, supply chain management etc. mostly entry level jobs. Especially Kraków and Wrocław are packed up the roof with these companies and more are coming... Why ? Lower costs than in the west of course but on the other hand India must be several times cheaper than Poland. I heard time zone is a problem but wouldn't they do night shifts for a bit more (still very little) money there ? Besides not all of that work must be done on the same days.

News / Poland - Third World Country?? [300]

Well, let me ask you a question who are you ?

Probably a ****, who proposed some time ago on the forums that grand children of Germans, who used to live in Silesia, should have a right to decide about the region's independence.

Study / Which university (erazmusem)? Poznań, Lublin, Krosno and Białsko-Biała. [17]

I am thinking of Poznań, Lublin, Krosno and Białsko-Biała.

UAM is one of the best universities in Poland, Catholic univ in Lublin is quite good, not sure which schools from other 2 towns but most probably they are far behing, however this is about general reputation of the school, not necessarily quality of the programme you are interested in.

Teachers said not to go to Kraków, because there's too much foreigners there.

But still +95% of people living there are Polish, so I don't know what they ment... too many foreign students ?

Life / "Letter from Poland" - very important movie to watch [51]

even your own Americans have been criticising the Polish armed forces in Afghanistan

Which one ? You are mixing 2 things: a habit to ignore the regulations, which is the real problem and has not too much to do with Błasik, he was just a part of this system, he didn't create it, Jak-40 hardly landed, they could as well end up like Tu-154, these things have been always like that, making Błasik a scapegoat is not only wrong but simply disgusting as the man is dead and can't defend himsef, all his critics have to say about him is that he was "not nice", I didn't hear about anyone talking even a word about his supposed alcohol problems. The other thing are some anonymous (real or made up) claims of American soldiers that Poles in Afghanistan are worth s*it. If you listen to individual soldiers serving there you could hear the same about British, German, Americans and all the rest.

is also utter crap. He wouldn't have been able to last a day in Brussels or anywhere else outside of his own base, Ministry or whatever.

Eh ? Guy finished Staff Officers Orientation Course at Dutch Defensy Academy, studied at US Air War College, commanded various NATO excercises and got Legion of Merit. You got what ? Potato award ?

Life / "Letter from Poland" - very important movie to watch [51]

Checking alcohol level in pieaces of body several days after death can never give fully trustful results, besides many Russian generals still rarely go down to 0.6, so Russians underlining again and again "drunkness" of Błasik are quite irritating (usual human s*its talking about it again and agian, that's not surprising thought), however It's obvious that vast majority of responsibility for this crash is on Polish side, so I don't know what we are "fighting" for... That idiot Tusk and his clowns again make us look like a bunch of muppets.

If he was the best pilot, why did he either: allow the pilot flying the plane to go below all cleared mimimums without having eyes on the runway

Military people in general take pride in doing stupid things. That's why in my opnion the air force shouldn't operate the VIP flights, they should have airplanes and crews leased from LOT or If it has to be in military, they should have the same airplanes as LOT and crews should be trained the same way, pass the same tests and at best even serve as pilots on some civilian flights when there are no VIP flights in that period. That should guarantee the proper behavior. They've been treating these Tupolevs and Jaks as If they were MiGs.

Study / The worst of Polish education. No wonder Polish universities are bottom of the list. [142]

The system is wrong. If one needs 100h of learning (in free time) some usless nonsense to pass the exam then can anyone be surprised that they area cheating ? I would be more worried If they didn't.

No wonder Polish universities are bottom of the list.

I've just checked some ranking. All the top places go to the universities from US/UK/Australia/Canada. The best German is in the 6th ten, the best Russian is around the 100th position and the best Italian near the end of the 2nd hundred. The only way to make such ranking useful is to print it and leave in the toilet.

News / Poland goes bankrupt? [110]

As for increasing employment in administration - sorry to say, but the Polish public approves.

Are you trying to be funny ? Why don't you open a poll on PF to see how many Polish citiznes here approve that ?

But hey - paying people that educate our children well is a bad policy, huh?

You seem to be no less populistic than your hero Tusk.

Why would they if they're healthy?

If tens of billions of public spendings disappear from year to year then many private companies in retail and especailly those in B2G sector i.e. supplyinig the army, working on public construction projects etc. won't make It despite being effective (good business plan, capital structure, sensible costs etc.) as there won't be enough time to adjust to new conditions, domestic demand gap will be simply too big to balance It with anything else. If you need to have such things explained, you should dare not to speak up in such discussions.

It's not paralysis, but electoral math.

If the only goal of the ruling party is "let's win the next elections" It's a straight path to disaster and that's what we are witnessing now.

News / Poland goes bankrupt? [110]

Once the election is out of the way then the PO will find some other way to put off the required restructuring - some other election or waiting till after 2012 to avoid strikes during the matches or some other excuse. They seem paralyzed as to what they really need to do.

Exactly. First It was all Kaczynski fault, next presidential elections, next local elections... now parliamentary elections... f*ck, there are always some elections, If they had wanted to reform anything, It would have been done long ago. Especially that not all reforms are "socially sensitive", reducing bureaucracy, employment in administration, reforming justice system etc. but no, damn idiots increased employment in administration !!!

The deficit is not however something they inherited from the previous clowns - it has grown 3 times worse during their time in power !

True. What's more, there was no recession in Poland (and not thanks to government idiots of course) and completely no reason to increase the deficit so much. It grew so huge because these idiots were increasing spendings ! The rise of teachers' salaries was the biggest ever !

Despite all the doom and gloom the subscription rate for Polish bonds is still pretty high.

True but It can change over night. A few articles, some comments from the rating agencies and that's it.

We are already in deep ****. ~8% of GDP public sector deficit with over +3% GDP growth (so it's not a recession thing) and billions from EU and from privatization (both temporary incomes) so the gap is terribly huge. They can either do nothing and we will be the next Greece in no more than 2 years or start very serious cuts and get us into recession as deficit reduction is good until It is by 1% of GDP a year, If more than that, the healthy comapnies living on domestic market will start bankrupting. I guess these are cuda the fools were promising.

News / Poland goes bankrupt? [110]

Merged: Poland is going bankrupt

Media finally start admitting the obvious:

Foreign investors join the chorus of Polish economists sharply criticizing the government. Now everyone according to herald the imminent bankruptcy of Polish .

- Polish government has no credible plan to repair public finances - alerts Daniel Hewitt , senior economist for . Emerging markets at Barclays Capital.

In anticipation of worsening condition of the Polish economy, the British bank even urged investors to buy securities protecting our country from financial collapse . Analysts suggest that a good capital investment . The 10-year CDS- s write: " They increase their value when increasing the risk of deterioration in the financial condition of the country , and the government is increasingly dependent on the sale of debt and the purchase of bonds by foreign investors."

3 years of coward Tusk and less than a year of that village idiot "president" was enough...

Love / Good looking Polish women with ugly men [416]

Men with shaved heads, scars on their faces, no necks, and with about as much conversational skills as a potato.

Says who ? An English guy with his butt wider than his chest and rotten teeth, who think that showing his naked ass on Saturday evning is cool ? Maybe Polish men are not the most handsome in the world but English are the last one, who should comment on It.
