History / Poland's biggest historical blunder? [341]

and Vilnius was on the Lithuanian

Were you for or against independence of Kosovo ?

Poland had to invade what it had agreed to be Lithuania in order to get to Vilnius.

Didn't Republic of Central Lithuania decided to join Poland ?

History / Poland's biggest historical blunder? [341]

Not having a good foreign minister to see what Hitler was doing.

Not true at all. Poland knew very well what Hitler was doing, actually Poland proposed France joint attack on Germany soon after Hitler won elections, which for some nazi like Gerries is making the 39 attack justified. Poland made many mistakes prior to WW2 including full trust in allies but definately It wasn't that It didn't see what Hitler is going to do.

Life / Observation of Polish drivers, by and English anthropologist. [94]

Overtaking like that is the simplest way to get killed. It is also forbidden by law:) You can't overtake when there's incoming vehicle on the 2nd lane. NEVER.

On many roads It's the only way to keep the traffic going, otherwise you would have a thousand cars behind some grandpa doing 60km/h.

Genealogy / Czappa / Klein - Kashubian name / Putzig, Puck Poland? [8]

I checked It, It's Kashubian last nam, which orginally was Czap, then Germanized to Czap(p)e and re-Polonized to Czap(p). Now there are 92 people with the last name Czap /mapa/kompletny/czap including 9 in Puck, 21 with last name Czapa /mapa/kompletny/czapa including 2 in Puck.

News / Don't let Poland become like my country, France. [630]

Almost like a country within a country if you will. Areas, where you'll only find muslims. Other areas where you'll just find blacks or arabs. Places where even the police has given up. Where doctors flee to safer (whiter) cities.

But that's really not fault of these people. That's maily fault of ignorant European "elites", they brought in millions of people unadjusted to European standards and now big surprise that It's not working well. I see no good solution to this problem. We will either witness come back of nazism with millions being forcefully expelled for their ethnicity/religion or Europe will be slowly transformed into backward area with unadjusted minorities becoming majority and setting up the new standards. Thank you tree huggers.

News / Kaczyński wants a people-friendly Poland [64]

The last twist in PIS's madness is that are forming an alliance with football hoodies

Nonsense. They are against collective punishment and that's a kind of master of the obvious reaction, they are also against making PR actions instead of creating effective solutions, which is the main strategy of PO "government".

But the hoody primitives are now shouting everywhere anti-government slogans.

What a crime, arrest them, you "democrat" :)

The SMS campaign was brilliantly performed - I remember vivdly on that very evening RadioZET, RFM/FM...all the normal stations...

Yep, a fact that mainstream media are working for the main political party is so cool.

Lots of normal people are spending the weekends out of the city

Lots of normal people know that making It Saturday/Sunday instead of Sunday alone, won't really changed anything, people who wouldn't be willing to come back 2h earlier, won't vote anyway, one could wonder If they deserve to do that anyway.

They saved Poland from a fascist tiranny.

You are either a complete and utter idiot or you have no idea about reality in Poland and get all your info from Palikot types, that wouldn't be surprising as you don't know Polish.

The last thing we need is football hooligans entering politics on the side of PiS

The previous line is also about you, If you really believe there's any chance for that.

News / Kaczyński wants a people-friendly Poland [64]

Usual insult from a deluded PiS supporter who believes that Kaczynski is actually electable ;)

I use to vote UPR/JKM. It's just that I find hilarious you playing an expert on Polish politics and all the other Polish issues.

News / Kaczyński wants a people-friendly Poland [64]

I'm still trying to work out the political logic behind two day elections - PO don't have problems scaring people with PiS, PiS doesn't have problems either - who really benefits?

It's very simple. It raises conspiracy theories (they want it to steal the votes over night etc.) and gives PO an opportunity to position itself as normal vs. lunatics, that's what they have been doing since a long time including provoking the cross affair.

Can anyone really imagine Pawlak or Napieralski going into a coalition with him after the insults towards them and their parties?

LOL ! You still know s*it about Polish politics.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

The Democratic and economical changes that have happened in PL, since 1989 has resulted in a better life for many Poles, freedom of travel and a more stable economy.

I'm not saying It's worse than before 1989. I'm saying that members of Polish "elites" where either naive and blinded by "good west" or corrupted and western politicians/corporations exploited that to the limits. So much for "we are helping you". We were made plebs of Europe and I see no chance to turn it back. Show me any serious country, which has most of the banking sector and large industry under foreign control.

News / Kaczyński wants a people-friendly Poland [64]

Yes - the people don't trust Kaczynski, it's as simple as that.

How is that ? PiS is about 5% behind PO in the polls.

When was JK friendly to anyone himself?

How is he less friendly to people than Tusk or Komorowski ?

PO would be just fine with the grants from big business in Poland - tells a thing or two about the two parties

It tells who is corrupted. If you mean creating business friendly environment, all the major economists and business organizations are highly critical of current "government".

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

I only hope that EU loving Poles will finally start opening their eyes. Westerners need us to do the worst jobs they would never touch and once there is no anymore shortage of people willing to do that, then f*ck out back where you came from. And to get into that "paradise" we were forced to sell for pennies our banks, industry and let Carrefour, Tesco, Kaufland, Strabag and all the rest make billions on our slave work. Well done, now we only need to paint ourselves black and mission is accomplished.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

You and warszawski don't have the full picture what is hapening over here, so I suggest you adopt the same policy.

I can admit that my comments about insects were stupid and I apologize for that, however...

Warszawski claimed this "song" was a hit: it wasn't.

It obviously was. Hit doesn't necesserly mean that It was no. 1 all year long.

It isn't racist at all ... I didn't know Poles were a race on their own.

LOL ! Anti-Polonism is clearly a huge problem in your country and instead admitting It, all you do is trying to drag us down into childish word games.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

of course Stu has a point, he's one of the smartest posters on PF :-)

And he has a potatoe award.

The Netherlands would simply be acting under existing European Union law, something that dumb Polacks like yourself know nothing about.

An English teacher has spoken :))

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

Netherlands

Enough of stupid games with these damn pederasts. Make it clear that If they don't shut up and apologize, Dutch companies will never get any public orders here and their business will suffer too, Polish law is so messed up (which is a terrible thing but a plus in this case) that It's easy to do such things legally. Another thing, call for European war on Dutch pedophilia. These people must be carefully watched wherever they appear, they are danerous insects and must be treated as such.

Edit: and express regret for liberating many of their cities during WW2, I personally find it shocking that our people were losing their lives for the insects.

News / King of Sweden starts three day trip to Poland [12]

They are considering close cooperation with Poland. Unfortunately the Warsaw's government is impotent.

Very true. There was even some offer of military alliance, which we should accept in my opinion.

Study / Is there racism in Poznan and hate crime against coloured people (students)? [59]

I am a hispanic/latin girl who is interested in attending a school in Poznan, the thing is that I have heard that there might be some racist acts against people of colour.

No problem at all in my opinion.

1. Generally Poles treat "hispanic" people (unless they are very dark) more like a subgroup of white people than "people of colour". In Poland racism is directed mostly at black/arab people, Latin and largly also Asian (Chinese, Japanese etc.) people have not much to worry about.

2. In case of "people of colour" men rather experience much more problems than women.

History / Poland paid off American Jewry in 1960 [162]

You can read yourself the three books of the Polish historian "Jan Gross".

Go read yourself a book of a Jewish historian Norman Finkelstein.

History / Poland's 1945 - 1989 under communism or during socialism? [65]

I think that's because commies themselves called It that way -> PRL was a socialist state, the system was socialsim and communism was some distant goal to be achieved in the future...

In the Western Europe they rather call it communism to differentiate it from western mainstream socialistic parties -> high taxes/welfare state etc. but still democratic, "capitalistic" and so on. In the US, on the other hand, they call them liberals...

UK, Ireland / Do Poles and EU Citizens exploit the British welfare state [129]

People who go on welfare have a habit of never getting off it. If you lose your job you should receive 6 months of benefits, not a lifetime of food stamps and free housing. After 6 months they should have to do some sort of community service, such as picking up trash along the Hi-way etc... You would be surprised how many people get off the system then!

In my opinion there should be no public benefits at all. I was just pointing out that If you give people the right to claim them, It's not surprising many actually do that.

Unfortunately it is, more often than not. In february some Pole crashed his car into a house killing both inhabitants. And this is not the only example, I am sorry to say.

I can go on and on and on and on.

Fascinating. Do you want me to post links to news about Dutch pedophiles raping children around thw world ? It wouldn't be a short list.

It's just that these geezers are on the news half of the time giving Poles a bad name. Well done ... well done.

I really love It. When Polish media say that for example Gypsies are stealing a lot, immediately some "expat" or some other homo publish it here as a proof of Polish nationalism/xenophobia/Catholic fascism etc. when Poles are on the opposite side... well It's all their fault of course even If that some stuff about eating stuff or some other nonsense.

UK, Ireland / Do Poles and EU Citizens exploit the British welfare state [129]

Polish workers losing their UK jobs in the economic downturn are choosing not to return home but to stay and take advantage of the generous benefits system.

And... ? You would expect them to move out of the country on the next day after they are made redundant ?
