Food / Singles (fake cheese) in Poland [19]

There's plenty in the supermarkets but again it isn't real Tilsiter (which I agree is lovely). It's just factory stuff identical to other 'cheeses' with a near-random label stuck on the invariably plastic packet.

We don`t bother about your food

The amount of feta and olive oil sold in Warsaw suggests that you are, as usual, lying.

It is healthier more than you might expect , just read about it , you will be surprised .

Just normal cooking oil, exists everywhere. The stuff from Kujawy is no different to the stuff from anywhere else. The same crops, the same production and storage methods.

I was just in Poland (Warsaw, Wroclaw). Polish food is amazing there. I had the most delicious perogies and nalesniki there. Kotlet schabowy with potatoes and cooked cabbage (not sour kraut) is f'ucking deliciou

Great maybe when you're just there for a holiday. But monotonous otherwise. Which is why Warsaw is stuffed with sushi restaurants and Italian places (and increasingly Indian).

There is nothing better than our " olej kujawski "

A cheap brand of cooking oil. Exists everywhere.

Why don't you try to export your olej kujawski and see who will buy it instead of olive oil?

Exactly. Two different products used in two different ways.

In warsaw there are several Greek restaurants, but they are mostly attended by Greeks.

More lies, Moania?

To tell the truth it is cheaper to visit Greece than Maldives .

Not always cheaper and much nicer and nearer too. And the restaurant culture is great.

but the smoked cheese Rolada Ustrzycka is very good.

That and Oscypek can be good - but again most of the Rolada Ustrzycka sold is a processed factory version, far from the real thing.

Your kebab dishes can`t compete with Polish cuisine because it is too monotonous .

Yet there are many varieties, most of them nicer than Polish restaurant food. Which is monotonous in the extreme.

dishes like moussaka, greek salad and a lot more .... the best tasting fish in Europe, the best lemons in Europe, the best olive oil,and the best grapes....e the tastiest pomerances, melons and lots of vegetables that exist only here

Yes, this is true. Which is why people prefer it to burnt karkowka, potatoes mashed without butter or cream and semi-raw cabbage.

or pasta with sauce ( italian ).

And over a thousand ways of serving pasta.

I don't believe a word of it! I mean, most Polish people I know won't even touch a Dutch dish, so why on earth would they order an English breakfast??

Calories, sizzling bacon, low price etc. Especially the big portions. Restaurants in Poland tend to serve disappointing quantities - are they the same in Polish restaurants in the US? I can't imagine that would go down well.

Food / Do Polish restaurants use dead dogs fat as a delicacy for you to eat? [41]

would you like the title of the thread to come up when people search for Polish restaurants?

Exactly. The thread title is trolling and it should be moved to random chat. The only case I've heard of about restaurants in Poland was a Vietnamese place in Piaseczno and the owners were prosecuted by the Polish authorities. Serving dog is illegal in PL.

All she's been doing is accusing me of being a troll. When I said crepes are a type of pancake (which is true), she called me a troll.

Don't worry about Moania and Dessie - all they do is whinge. Are you in the US? If so tell us about any Polish restaurants in your area. I've just gone to the UK for a week. There was one near where I am now but it went bust - the local Poles (more than 20,000) prefer Italian, British, Indian, Chinese etc and non-Poles tended to visit it once then not go again.

Yeah, but be fair for a moment.. Only English people like an English breakfast.

Most don't, but in the cafes that dot the streets of Tottenham when I spent a few weeks there recently, it tended to be Poles who were tucking into the gloriously heart attack-inducing platefuls.

posters on this forum obviously feel inadequate when they compare themselves to Poles

That's one of the funniest things I've read here. And amazingly it was written by somebody who has no direct experience of Poland!

but Polish food?somebody who eats badly prepared food, of course, won't like it...

That's the point! Home-cooked can be quite nice, but in restaurants something often goes badly wrong.

You are the troll

So are you denying that Polish restaurant food and service is not particularly good?

So far you haven't commented on the topic of the thread - all you can do is troll.

You have never eaten there so you claim regarding the quality its food is worthless and you are obviously jealous of the beauty and vitality of Poles, and Polish-Americans, hence your asinine attempts denigrate us on this forum.

You have never been to Poland and certainly never eaten here, so your tendency for special pleading about something you have never experienced first-hand is beyond asinine.

certain water spanning structures

;-)

So,a bunch of drunken class A drug users with a tendency to de flower under age girls impressed by their big swords then?

There's a reason they had to install security cameras pointed at the ones guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier about 5 or 6 years ago. And it's nothing to do with slipping into the bushes with under age girls.

Not at all, they all got pictures of themselves in uniform on Nasza-Klasa,

How tacky. Probably 'other ranks' or junior officers.

caught lying you were unable to save your face:)

No need to save my face. It is intact and available to view on this very site. The details of the work I was doing with the army, including names, is however still discreet.

You however have discussed military details. However you only have at best second hand knowledge, so we can take them with a pinch of salt.

Obviously, but since you never worked for a military

Only twice. The first time in Poland. When you were still in short trousers.

nd i caught you lying

You didn't.

Seriously mate i can go even further and fetch one of the soldiers of said battalion who can prove his identity by answering to anyone with a Nasza-Klasa account or Facebook

Ah, somebody off the internet. Perhaps you'll post his name, job title and the combination to his office safe :-))

since not one of them is a certified engineer:)))))

Again, wrong.

I'm afraid that most of traditional dishes

I'm not sure I'd describe Poland as an ethnic group, but what would you describe as uniquely Polish?

Normally I wouldn't agree with 'Rebirth' but in this case he is right. Polish cuisine is notespecially good. Home-cooked is OK but nothing special, in restaurants in Poland it is usually bad.

What's wrong with giving advice on how to get a woman ?

He isn't. He's talking about how to get a one-night stand from a nightclub.
