Love / Why a polish girl would prefer a relationship with a foreign man? [30]

Some of the women I worked with did say that life as a Polish woman is very hard but in reality I don't know if that was true? Most of the Poles I have mixed with have been 'blue collar' workers all their lives, even in Poland I didn't meet many educated Poles, not because they didn't exist, it was just the connections I had. I think life for anyone who has a good job is obviously easier in some respects. Yeah we would choose the Polish millionaire if we were marrying for financial security.I don't think that all Polish women marrying foreigners for money but every race (including mine) and gender has it's mercenary types.

Love / Why a polish girl would prefer a relationship with a foreign man? [30]

there is plenty of American women who date men for "less than alturisic reasons" but it has nothing to do with their nationality or their lives "as American women".

Quite agree with you, there are British ones too! Polish women were mentioned because the title of the thread is about Polish women.
As I pointed out plenty of Polish women marry for love too, I was much more critical about the men more than the women!!!

Love / Troubled relationship - is it because I'm Polish or should I blame it on his moustache? [28]

Many people relationship hop, fearing being alone due to emotional, financial and comfort needs. Looks like that comfortable slipper is well worn, time to buy a new pair or at least start walking barefoot around the house.

Very good point. If you no longer feel genuine love for this guy, leave. It may be hard but it's the decent thing to do!

Staying with someone for the wrong reasons is cruel and he will hate you if he ever finds out!

Love / Why a polish girl would prefer a relationship with a foreign man? [30]

I have in the past worked with around 1500 Polish ladies, where there were genuine love matches , they often spoke about how considerate and kind their English partners were. There were some women who had less alturisic reasons for being with Non Polish men but I've never experienced life as a Polish woman so who am I to criticise.

I know more about why the men chose to be with Polish women than vice versa, sometimes it's for good reasons, sometimes for bad. I do think that some of the men on here objectify Polish women. It would be interesting to read what Polish women have to say.

]
Obviously there are some genuine 'love matches' between different races and it's great to see them
However,

That or these foreign men are also so lacking that their own women don't want them either so these men go off in desperation hoping Polish women will overlook their many personal flaws by seeing them as "exotic".

I'm afraid this is often the case, silly little men who wouldn't get a look in with ladies in Bradford or New Orleans etc.... find themselves a pretty foriegn lady and strut around thinking they're 'stud of the year!'.

Really sad when they wake up and realise that people are just people whatever their ethincity.
Worse still when Katya/Agata/ Magda is aging just as quickly as Doris /Nolene/Celine down the road.!!!
People may have particular ethnicities that they lust after but when you start saying that you only want to have a relationship with a particular nationality you're looking at a very sad person!

Love / Woman 23, man 47 years old. What do you think about ? [162]

More men leave their families for younger women, it's sad when a family breaks up for any reason, you can't just criticise the females!

: Well, I'm a 47 year old woman with a 21 year old man...life is good!
LOL!What could you two possibly have in common after the sex is over?

That's equally true of an older man and a younger woman.
Many of the large age gap relationships run into problems eventually whatever the mix!

Love / Woman 23, man 47 years old. What do you think about ? [162]

Well, I'm a 47 year old woman with a 21 year old man...life is good! LOL!

If you're both happy ''go for it' no one would care if the bloke was 47 and you were 21!!!

Atleast if a older man offers a younger woman a life he can offer her kids

Yeah but what a bore being lumbered with some warty old bloke as the father of your kids!!!!
Women usually age much better than men and often take more care of themseves, nicer for a bloke to have the older woman
than the girl to have an older man!

Love / Woman 23, man 47 years old. What do you think about ? [162]

Well you are wrong

No she's partially correct , the age of consent is 16years old in Britain, though there are are different ages of consent for different EU countries presumably.

Most people brought up in Britain would see a 45yr old man with a 15 yr old girl as a case of paedophillia.
Teenage girls and very young women are sometimes 'impressed' by much older men, because the man seems to have an air of 'worldliness' or 'knowledge' about them or is financially successful.

What can the man see in such a young woman though? There is no equality in such a relationship. The man either views the young woman as a 'sex toy' or something he can mould and manipulate to do his absolute bidding. In most cases it's because the man is unable to cope with a woman who can hold her own views or shows any independence. Sometimes the men is a paedophile anyway.

Large age gaps can work but only when the younger party has achieved maturity and success in their own right and cannot be manipulated by the older party.

Law / Poland's Court System (divorce case) - what would you do? [4]

pablom

One of my neighbours left Poand under similar circumstances, moved to Shropshire and became a taxi driver, his gf got a job in a local factory. They never did get all the Polish finances sorted out but they are doing okay here and are now married!

Give it a go in Britain, there are still jobs to be had, there is a safety net and you both sound like you are hardworking people, it could work well for you! The education system isn't perfect but it's certainly as good as the Polish one and in some ways better! Your gf has had a rotten time, you rescued her and her children, you all deserve a break. Good luck in whatever you do, but do give Britain serious thoght.

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

It's pontless complaining about Polish immigration to Britain, unless the government does something to sort out unemployment amongst indigenous Britons, obviously people will come over from Poland to work. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement for both the Poles and companies in Britain, what's the point of having a go at the Poles themselves?? Britain has a long history of immigration and as a society will cope perfectly well with Polish immigrants, or any others.

The Poles who arrived in Britain after the war proably did integrate more quickly but there were fewer in number and many married British women. When I was growing up in Birmingham my Dad had a couple of Polish friends (who taught me and one of my sisters Polish), the guys were well settled in the local area but still proud of their heritage. My only gripe with Polish immigrants is that SOME BUT ONLY SOME would be nasty if we had Black or Asian workers in the factory where I used to work.

These were not educated people and all ethnicities are guilty of ignorance at times. Maybe some Poles could try harder with the language but then as Brits we aren't saints either! As for sklepi well why not? some of the food is nice.

Everyone has their own opinion on The EU/Commonwealth/immigrant workers but at the end of the day it's the government which is the problem ! If the jobs are here now or in the future well who cares which people take them?

As for integration it will come eventually and if Poles are returning to Poland well it won't really matter!

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

LOL Well I had a relationship with one and I think it highly unlikely I'd ever have another Polish partner, BUT would we really have missed the experience??? NO

Some things aren't meant to be but I'm glad I we tried to make a go of it. I'll never forget the drunken sod or the good bits!

UK, Ireland / I'm from a small town in the UK and I think Poland is a nation of criminals [37]

Last month approximately 40% of cases that passed though my domain of work were EU-A8 Nationals. Most were Polish,

'Last month', not every month, there are variations and anomalies whenever you record things numerically. You stated 'most' were Poles,
you need to lower the percentage because there were other EU nationals too. They may have decided to do most of the hearings involving Poles that month for practical reasons e.g availibilty of translators?

No ethnic group makes up 40% of the population. 95% are British born

This is true but it doesn't prove anything. To suggest that the Poles are more criminally inclined than other races you would need to do a much longer study covering the whole of Britain!

If you did this I'm very sure you'd find the Poles are no more criminally inclined than any other group!

UK, Ireland / I'm from a small town in the UK and I think Poland is a nation of criminals [37]

Some of you people need to familiarise yourselves with a concept called statistics.

Using a certain methodology of statistics I can prove that smoking tobacco is actively good for you! if you've ever seen lungs from a dead smoker you would soon see that smoking mucks up the human body big style!

Stats are not always reliable. There are more Poles in the court that you work in because it's the largest ethnic group in your area, no other reason. Poland hasn't a spectacularly high rate of crime, it's lower than a lot of places! Poles are no more likely to be criminals than most races!

UK, Ireland / I'm from a small town in the UK and I think Poland is a nation of criminals [37]

Public disorder offences
Benefit fraud
Common assault
Violations of fisheries, wildlife etc acts

These are all offences that people from every race/ethnic group in Britain commit. Indigenous Brits included!
The figures that you are observing merely reflect the fact that the Poles are probably one of the largest ethnic groups in the country at present time. The figures are all relative, you probably won't get many Innuits or Mongolians carrying out these offences, purely because there aren't many people of these races in Britain!!!!

These figures do not mean that Poland is a nation of criminals!!!

Work / Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczno - Ekonomiczna, Włocławek) [8]

That would be perfect as her verbal/written skills are excellent in both languages however she has no interest in becoming a teacher or translator! She really is passionate about a career in social work, given her personal qualities, she'd be a superb social worker.I would hate to see her side lined into a career that she doesn't want, she really hasn't enjoyed living in the UK and badly wants to return to Poland. Her ultimate goal is to train as a social worker and help children at risk. The UK's loss and Poland's gain.

ismellnonsense

I will pass on this information to my friend's daughter. The young lady (19 years old) has 6 GCSEs at grade C she also has a BTEC level 3 in Health and Social Care, she would like to do a course in Social Work, can you recommend any good institutions? obviously language won't be a problem. There are courses at British colleges but she really hates living in Britain even after 4 years! I can't really offer much advice because I know very little about Polish Universities apart from the top state ones. Most of the local Poles have been to vocational or secondary school only and can't really advise the young lady. She's very hardworking, excellent at languages, learns quickly.

Ps Just curious but what's so awful about Włocławek?

Gumishu and Ismellnonsense
Thank you for your information.
I wasn't very impressed by the website/prospectus from the school however I don't have any experience of working or studying in a Polish institution so thought I'd better ask around before writing the place off!

Any other comments about the school/Włocławek would be welcome.

Does anyone have any experience of the establishment above? Is it well established, does it have a good academic reputation?
My friend's daughter has been offered a place there to do a social work course.
The daughter is the first person in the family to go onto higher education and her mum is quite anxious about the quality of university she (the daughter) will attend. The young lady has recieved offers from a couple of English colleges but she hasn't settled well in Britain and wants to return to Poland to study. None of the family have been to Włocłwek so if anyone on the forum has lived/stayed there, your input would be helpful.

Thanks Kaz

Love / Polish woman and black/mixed-race guy...... [49]

We don't know whether OP is a black gay, purple dude.

I trust that you are commenting more on his attitude to women, it is typically immature, however many of the posters were just plain hypocritical and throwing hissy fits because the guy is mixed race!!!

Intrigued: I'm trying to improve my conversational English skills with woman

Typo or mind slip obviously!!!! The posts are written by some one who is very comfortable with the English language!

looks like someone is butt hurt

No just sick of racist, pig ignorant w--kers who pose as 'teachers' and think they can exploit everyone! It annoys me on a professional basis. He's like one of these pathetic creeps trawling bars in Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand ugh! some of them pretend to be teachers as well. Also the guy's ignorance about and arrogance towards Indians/Blacks sickens me.

Tommy G
I was born in Birmingham, English is my first language, it was my parent's common language. My father served in World War 2 and recieved several medals, both my parents were given British Nationalty. I have a British passport as do all my children etc... No one in my family has ever taken a penny in benefits from the state other than Child Benefit ( which even the Queen recieved). All my family have contributed to Britain, my parents as Nurses, my brothers as Doctors, my sisters as linguists and myself as a real teacher (working with special needs pupils). My two adult kids are solicitors working for mental health charities! I may not be white but I am BRITISH every bit as British as you are. In order to be British all you need is a British passport! nationality is a matter of legal status not ethnicity!

What have YOU ever contributed towards Britain, other than rude remarks about British women and people who are not white????? Wipe your conscience boy! People like you are creeps who exploit others and target selected races of women then complain when others fancy the same race.

Well Mr 'not a teacher' your posts just how what an ignorant loser you are!

I have no hindu or muslim blood in me:P

Oddly enough i don't have any Muslim or Hindu blood either, both are religions not ethnic groups!

Of course. Did you read the thread title? That's the response that Pawian was looking for... happy to oblige:)

Well you would say that wouldn't you? doesn't explain your other pervy comments about Polish women!
I dare say you will blame all your racist sh-t on trying to oblige me and giving me something to write about???
Get back under your stone T--------! Actually, I should be a little more kind, me and my chav Indian and English mates can't get out tonight our kids need looking after but we've had a hell of a laugh at you. Happy New Year, it's worth coming on PF every now and then just to see what idiots you fake teachers can be!

Love / Polish woman and black/mixed-race guy...... [49]

you don't look asian at all if you wanna know my opinion

Doh??? read the caption it's a parody/mickey take on chavs not me personally, most posters don't want personal pictures on a forum!

Thanks for posting that. I almost threw up...That's one thing I don't miss about the UK.. Wayne and Waynetta slob... Is it HH's wife?

Doh again, if you read the caption you'd realise the picture/caption is taking the p-ss out of a PF member who referred to me as a chav just because I pointed out some of his statements were rather silly. That member was you!

Of course I had forgotten that this is the 'Teacher of English' who doesn't actually understand much English!
Infact he understands so little that he doesn't realise that the OP wants to learn Polish not English! Regard the visit to Poland and wanting to talk to Polish women, (he probably wants a bit of fun too but hell Mr G read some of your own posts, you treat Polish women like sex objects yourself!).

This is the 'teacher' who doesn't understand what racist means? You cr-p your nappy if a Black or Asian guy says he fancies a Polish girl (or probably any other white women) but it's okay for the big Mr G to talk about how he'd 'give it good and hard' to some Polish policewoman in another post earlier today! obviously you have difficulties understanding quite a lot of vocabulary e.g the word hypocrite.

Not that he'd want one:P

Just read your own posts, full of stupid racist comments about Asians and Blacks but you're too pig thick to realise what a racist you are!

Your post just justifies my comments!
I'm not not Anglo Saxon by blood but I am very proud of being British, it's still a good place compared to many, however when I see your stupid posts and see how you boast about being a teacher ( when all you are doing is exploiting people) I feel ashamed to be classed as the same nationality as you! Your ignorance about Indian culture is beyond belief and your assumptions about Black women ridiculous! Both have far more class than to have you as a partner!

Don't you realise that the mark of a loser is someone who runs place to place slagging off their mother country! Get a life boy,you make HH look intellectual!

Love / Polish woman and black/mixed-race guy...... [49]

I don't think so, I would say that you are using them being black as an excuse and reason for a preferential treatment. I think that is very patronizing on your part.

Sorry mate but that's boll-cks! I didn't exactly excuse their behaviour, I pointed out that they were daft (stupid) for their assumption that one particular race is easier than another. I don't launch into every white guy who makes stupid assumptions or derogatory comments about women. Unless it's excessively sleazey I ignore it, I laugh quietly at these men's idiocy and lack of understanding about women.

What annoys me is that white guys get away with any type of distasteful letching whilst an Asian or Black guy gets verbally hammered! Look at the posts in the relationship section of the forum if you need evidence!

As for the patronising bit 'stuff that' I'm partially Asian myself and look very Asian, I don't need to patronise any Asians or Blacks, my late husband was Indian, my late father was Indian, my kids are Indian, some of my nieces and nephews are part indian part Jamaican and we are all as good as any white person any day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bieganski

These lads Stereot and Intrigued are not really sex tourists in the usual sense, they are just two lads out for a good time in a place where they believe it's easy to go a bit mad with the 'wine, women and song'.It's the same as British women in places like Ghana, Turkey and the Carribean, they have a bit of a rep as being 'good time girls', the local lads enjoy having a fling with them. Polish women have a similar rep in many countries too, lads being lads will take advantage! These two are just daft lads enjoying themselves with ladies who are equally up for a bit of fun. Sterot seems to have settled down happily with a Polish lady whom he loves and respects anyway so where is the problem? The problem is that it's two black guys, if they were white, the men would be doing the old 'get in there mate' routine!

There are a fair few w--kers on here who are happy to perve and objectify women (Polish women especially) but that seems to be okay because they are magic colour 'white'. Woe betide any Black,Asian or female forum member who comments on the subject of women, especially Polish women.

Yes, the sex trade is horrendous and not to be supported in any way but Poland is not particularly a victim of the sex trade any more than France, Italy or the UK. There is some explotation but from mainly other Poles and women are often in the trade by their own choice, Poland is not in the same situation as the Far East or some of the poorer Eastern European countries. This post just shows the hypocricy of some of the forum's male members.

UK, Ireland / Poles 2nd to Indians in UK [23]

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I have heard that many Brits enjoy frequentling Polish pubs for the Polish beer and vodka and food as well as shopping in Polish shops for goods that are both tasty and cheaper.

Very few Polish pubs around, maybe a few in London? Polish brands of beer/vodka have been available in larger supermarkets and delicatessens long before trhe Poles came over in any number. Polish shops are expensive over here, quite often selling exactly the same stuff as supermarkets except with a Polish label! Cakes/cake mixes and breads are harder to find outside 'sklepy' as are some of the sausages/cured meats.

Don't be so sure about that:

D--kheads in every country I'm afraid!!!!

Just my experience and not aimed at offending anybody.

Your post is very true and not in the least offensive!

UK, Ireland / Poles 2nd to Indians in UK [23]

Most Brits don't care if the Poles stay in Britain or leave it. Britain has a long history of accepting other races and I doubt that will change any time soon. It's true that many people worry about the lack of employment for the indigenous population but most realise it's up to the government to sort out the benefit system and get the long term unemployed back into work. There are also many people who feel that Britain should leave the EU but again they realise that this is something they must lobby MP's and parliament about.

If there are jobs available in Britain the Poles will obviously apply for them, most people understand and accept this.
The Poles have made very little impact on British culture because unless people have come into direct contact with them, they don't really stand out in any way. Indian culture has had a far greater impact on British society partially because of the long contact with the country and because it's more colourful? I personally enjoy the Polish cakes and some of the films but most people in Britain have little or no interest in Poland

The links above may be of some use. Under Polish law you are entitled to child support payments and on his salary it will be considerably more than 1000PLN (probably more like 2000PLN).

Please don't think of giving up your child or leaving it with your parents, this child will need it's mother all the more given that it's father has rejected it. You will suffer too if you do not see your child.

This man is a piece of sh-t, he is not worth your affection or care, his ex is a total wh-re for sleeping with him knowing you are pregnant, throw these two bits of human excretia out of your life, take the man to court and ensure you have enough money for your child, then divorce the pig.

Your child will bring you untold joy but this man will only bring you misery, get rid of hin aqsap.
Best wishes for your future and for your expected child.

UK, Ireland / Domestic arguments caused by differences between Polish and English culture [109]

So do I! What cultural differences you have in mind then?

My ex always put his drinking habits down to being a Polish man.
His equally heavy drinking friends also claimed that heavy drinking was part of Polish culture!
'the other little cultural difference' was written with some irony!
