I'm from a small town in the UK and I think Poland is a nation of criminals

Greetings everyone, i'm from a small town in the UK and i have worked for HM Courts and Tribunal service for over 10 years now. I've noticed a stark increase in Polish crime in recent years..

Last month approximately 40% of cases that passed though my domain of work were EU-A8 Nationals. Most were Polish, second place goes to Romania.

Polish favourites include

- Public disorder offences
- Benefit fraud
- Common assault
- Violations of fisheries, wildlife etc acts

Which court do you represent? (I'm asking so that every one may check the data you are giving.)

Poland is a way queieter place now that most of the scum are in the UK, including those wanted in Poland - however we are growing a new generation of rowdy people and there will be no more room for them abroad and we are going to live with it in Poland

I don't represent a court & you are free to believe me or ignore me.

Public disorder offences
Benefit fraud
Common assault
Violations of fisheries, wildlife etc acts

Public disorder offences - It is common place in Poland for people to drink in the streets or parks and be noisy.
Benefit fraud - This is not only Polish nationals, also Nigerians or most other immigrant groups, it would seem to be more a problem with the system. Cheating the state is a national pastime in most pf the former Soviet Union's satellite's.

Common assault - Uk residents are also well known for this type of activity abroad.
Violations of fisheries, wildlife etc acts - Poaching a is very active in Poland and is normally a last resort.

Poaching a is very active in Poland and is normally a last resort.

game poaching is not a last resort but a hobby that some indulge in I would say (it might be different with fisheries though)

Thanks for the answers.

I think you're trying to make a direct comparison between drunken tourist idiots abroad, and permanent settlers who are here to benefit from our country.

People who emigrate from the UK are usually skilled professionals who qualify for green cards or visas to the States or Australia. These people are usually from higher up in the social hierarchy.

If you're a mindless hobo in he UK, you're best of staying in the UK to take benefits and housing.
If you're a mindless hobo in Poland, you're best of coming to the UK to take benefits and housing.

You work where and you're noticing what?
If I were you I'd take this up with your local government.
What answer were you hoping to get here and what would you do with it?

I think you're trying to make a direct comparison between drunken tourist idiots abroad, and permanent settlers who are here to benefit from our country.

If I was to make a direct comparison, it would be between the British sub existence dwellers on the Costa's and the Polish sub existence dwellers in the UK, neither group represent their country well or in good light.

People who emigrate from the UK are usually skilled professionals who qualify for green cards or visas to the States or Australia. These people are usually from higher up in the social hierarchy.

British people emigrate all over the globe and from all walks of UK society. Just as many wealthy Poles live in the UK for tax reasons, the vast majority of Poles in the UK are honest hard working people who only wish to make a better life for themselves by earning money in the UK and sending it home to build a house or buy a flat.

If you're a mindless hobo in he UK, you're best of staying in the UK to take benefits and housing.
If you're a mindless hobo in Poland, you're best of coming to the UK to take benefits and housing.

A mindless Polish hobo could not a afford a bus ticket never mind the air fare to the UK.

These are all offences that people from every race/ethnic group in Britain commit. Indigenous Brits included!
The figures that you are observing merely reflect the fact that the Poles are probably one of the largest ethnic groups in the country at present time. The figures are all relative, you probably won't get many Innuits or Mongolians carrying out these offences, purely because there aren't many people of these races in Britain!!!!

These figures do not mean that Poland is a nation of criminals!!!

One would suppose the area you live in has a high number of Polish immigrants, hence the court figures.
If you worked in South London, those of Afro-caribean descent would figure highly in you court cases, should you live in Birmingham, large numbers of Asian would be found within the court system. etc.....

The three non national groups that are most heavily represented in the UK prison system, are Jamaicans, Irish and Poles. There are roughly 11,500 foreign prisoners in the UK prison system, of which 156 different nationalities are represented. Of that number roughly half are either Jamican, Irish or Polish. So therefore there are no more than 2000 or 3000 Poles incarcerated in the UK. That is hardly a huge number given how many Polish immigrants there are in the UK.

Some of you people need to familiarise yourselves with a concept called statistics.
The Poles are hitting well above their weight in crime. In fact I'd go as far as to say that they're PROLIFIC offenders.

If you're a Pole in the UK you're more likely to commit crime. Fact.
The Romanians and Lithuanians are not far behind.

So what do you hope to accomplish in your neck of the woods by coming on here and doing what you're doing? I am not defending anyone here and see some truth in what you've written but so what? What good is bringing it up here going to do you?

I wanted to learn more about Poles in general.. I'm sure they're not all bad. I suspect just the "rednecks" and the dregs of society have come here.

People who are successful generally don't need to run away from their own country.

Fair enough but how open, honest and non-retaliatory do you think the responses will be with the kind of question you asked? You'll learn something I guess but I'm not sure if it'll be what your stated goal is. Best of luck... it's late and I'm hungry.

You informed that you have worked for HM Courts and Tribunal service for over 10 years now, if you and your colleagues are going to tR ll Poles with the same brush, whatever happened to ' innocent until proven guilty'

quote=alexnye]People who are successful generally don't need to run away from their own country.[/quote]
Many of the Poles in the UK are economic migrants NOT running away from Poland.

Maybe England is the nation of criminals and the Poles learn the behavior there?

Some of you people need to familiarise yourselves with a concept called statistics.

By all means please show them to us, because you haven't produced any as yet. I have statistics that give the opposite picture but, given that you produced the thread I think it would be incumbent on you to produce them first.

Using a certain methodology of statistics I can prove that smoking tobacco is actively good for you! if you've ever seen lungs from a dead smoker you would soon see that smoking mucks up the human body big style!

Stats are not always reliable. There are more Poles in the court that you work in because it's the largest ethnic group in your area, no other reason. Poland hasn't a spectacularly high rate of crime, it's lower than a lot of places! Poles are no more likely to be criminals than most races!

No ethnic group makes up 40% of the population. 95% are British born

'Last month', not every month, there are variations and anomalies whenever you record things numerically. You stated 'most' were Poles,
you need to lower the percentage because there were other EU nationals too. They may have decided to do most of the hearings involving Poles that month for practical reasons e.g availibilty of translators?

No ethnic group makes up 40% of the population. 95% are British born

This is true but it doesn't prove anything. To suggest that the Poles are more criminally inclined than other races you would need to do a much longer study covering the whole of Britain!

If you did this I'm very sure you'd find the Poles are no more criminally inclined than any other group!

Troll. He claims he works for a court but then refuses to tell us which one so we can verify his rather ridiculous statistics. It's always better not to feed trolls, they soon get bored when no one takes any notice of them.

Maybe a lot of criminals from Poland went to the UK... Did you think about that or are you too stupid? Or maybe just a troll....

"Polish" isn't a race, it's an ethnicity.

This was the "gist" of the OP's question.

Nice job people, nice job.

Why not post some stats, that would be good.

I'm still curious if the OP can do this too.
