Real Estate / Applying for a mortgage in Poland (wife and husband) [9]

I will no longer be able to get a credit report from the UK, as I am no longer a resident there. Is this the case - and do most banks ask for a foreign credit history from non-Poles?

In Poland banks don't care about your credit history. They look what monthy income you have, perm job, expenses, kids, your prospects.
They even don't care what properties, cars, boats, planes you have. The most impotant is well paid, steady job.

And, for the record, we will be putting in a little over 26% in terms of a deposit, which is higher than the minimum, might that help?

no, don't do it. It is a drop in the ocean. Save it for instalments.

Polonia / Work in Denmark? Do you want it? A versatile builder who can speak English needed. [55]

The only information we wanted was simple. How much i normal to pay in Poland for that kind of labor, and how much would it take to work in Denmark.

For example experienced plumber can earn in Poland 3000zl per month (I earned 2750zl in Poland) plus the same after hours so 6000zl pcm it is 1380 euro plus 350 euro accommodation. Salary which can attract him to leave homeland is min 1730 euro netto.

Denmark is considered as very expensive country with very expensive cars and insurance. Don't expect crowds.

In the UK he can earn 100 pounds per day about 2200 pcm x 5 = 11000zl

Love / Should I follow her? I met a beautiful Polish woman who has been working in the UK [62]

Do people think I should be looking at a future with her in Poland

No. You will not be able to swim in this water for a long time.

or does the fact she was willing to drop me say enough about how she see's me?

She is tired of living abroad. She acts from practical point of view. For the same reason I would never want to be with a Russian girl.

News / Will eight million Polish people flock to the UK now that we are going for a hard Brexit? [38]

if you think that the only one better thing in UK (when compared to the PL) are wages.

Wandering streets of London I finally found out how it works. London is too big to refurbish. It is ongoing process. People don't have money for that so they develop social life instead. Android toy counts. This is our 5 minutes on this planet. We are temporary so don't bother mate. Lets play tetris when comuting to warehouse. There is no tragedy when someone lives in building from 1904. Some buildings have to colapse. New buildings are rising to the sky. Life goes on.

Life / Would love to move to Poland [13]

You don't live in Poland yourself yet you try to decide who can and cannot live there?

I'm not trying to decide. It isn't my point of view. It is information only that majority of Polish speaking workers do not accept non speakers in a workplace because they don't speak English and not going to learn English. It may help someone to decide visit or not visit Poland.

you do see the hypocrisy of this statement don't you?One time you are complaining about London

no because I can speak English a little. We as a mas (80% maybe) don't speak.
I'm a troll. I never concealed this. Don't take my post as my point of view.

Life / Would love to move to Poland [13]

I actually really love Poland I want to move there..would they accept me?

If you have money just appear in PL buy a flat but what about job? We do not accept people who don't speak Polish in work. There is no time for learning and patience. Majority of labour workers don't speak English. Their "managers" too. If you have idea how to earn only with English you can try.

Life / Cost of living in Katowice, Poland [53]

and have to say that living here has been a very nice experience.

Many people many views. Katowice has crime rate above average.

I would strongly recommend that don't accept any salary below 8000zl netto

I relocated from Olsztyn. The salary I have been offered is 2500zl Is it enough to cover all the needs for me, my wife and my 2 years old son? ;)

Work / 30 yr old Polish Canadian would love to relocate back to homeland [4]

Driving doesn't seem to be a bad job.Is it unusual to earn between 4-5000 with a Kat B license?

But it is a bad job. Don't go this B way. You can expect 1000km per day and 3 weeks out of home for 4000zł. With C licence or C+E you became equal to gods.

News / Poland refuses to give jobs to British [19]

They fall on death ears

Today I learnt death ears. When my wife talks to me I have death ears. Thank you ;)

Most of your job applications are ignored... almost 99%

What do you expect from us? That old chaps sentenced to death with 400 pounds pcm start learning English to understand you?
We often are ashamed that we agreed work in XIX century conditions. We don't need foreign witnesses at the moment. Are you going to be our rebel and fight the system? And finally today you need to buy decend job. No random person from the street can ahead sons and daughters of mum in the office.
