Love / Love without chemistry? (Asian in love with a Polish woman) [195]

i think what we gotta remember is that gg seems to come from a culture of arranged marriages where you dont exactly get to choose who you marry and you grow to like the person chosen. having spoken to a couple of indian ladies about this they told me there was a fair amount of guilt and honour (the parents of course) involved in making it work.

he is now incorrectly trying to apply this theory of people growing to like each other to women outside of his culture.

and the court jester in brunswick does a mix of eastern european food.

there is also a jewish-polish restaurant in st kilda on acland st.

History / Casimir the Great (Kazimierz Wielki) started anti-Semitism? [101]

a tenet of islam is they believe that judaism and christianity have strayed from the true word of god, and that god revealed to the prophet his true word.

that is why they refer to people that convert from judaism/christianity to islam as "reverts".

Australia / Any nice Polish people in Perth? [78]

But still she can look for work, but her employer needs to apply for her visa

an employer wont go through the hassle of red tape.

she could get cash in hand jobs, probably not well paid.

Life / Is Poland a safe country for people of color? [241]

I like more glamorous & upscale vacation spots. Like Paris, Rome, Fiji etc

fiji may look glamourous with all the beaches and resorts and what not but it could end up nasty.
We advise you to exercise caution when travelling in Fiji due to the unresolved political situation and deterioration in the rule of law following the December 2006 military coup.

Travel / Poland from a Persian Tourist's Perspective [269]

Yes

how do you personally feel being a persian from such a rich culture basically ruled by this backward bunch of know it alls.

No... More women go to university then men.

a cleric would have disposition to muslims though?

man, that situation sounds fooked up. you could be the brightest student academically but if you're aint got the money then you struggle.

As for getting a degree back home that's impossible, thanks to the British governments overthrow of our government we now have the clerics running everything.

do you have any resentment towards islam as well?

Millions of people apply for 50.000 available spots and you have to be extremely lucky just to even get a spot and even luckier to get a spot for the degree you actually want. Winning the lottery is an easier feat.

im guessing the criteria is pretty simple...male, muslim and preferrably connections.

Australia / Finding work on Prospective marriage visa, Melbourne ( subclass 300 ) [30]

asik

id personally prefer that australia give residency to people that wait for 2-3 years in rat infested, fresh water-less, stank refugee camps than people with money that cant be arsed waiting and can pay a smuggler 500k to get them to australian waters.

I'm just going to GTFO of this forum now forever

Don't bother replying. This is my last post on this forum.

I'm Out

I'm kinda tired of this so I'm just going to keep it short and neat with my last reply.

This can go on forever so I'm just gonna leave the conversation at that.

once polish forums has you, then you can never escape.

Travel / Poland from a Persian Tourist's Perspective [269]

if you butt into a discussion and take sides then you're part of it

i didnt take sides and dont condone racist behaviour.

i merely asked you why is that other ethnic groups that are dark skinned/haired dont have the same anti-social behaviour when migrating to other countries.

your issues stem from traveling to the backwaters of poland, to be honest if you went to some rural lil town in australia you would probably experience the same thing. if i traveled to some rural indian town then i would no doubt experience the same thing.

it is a forum, where discussion and debate happens, yet you seem to want to throw labels at people. it is a lot easier for you to throw the "racist" card at another poster as "i win and end of discussion" than talk about why.

i apologise for my generalisation about iranian women. i hope that you too can apologise for your generalisations of "white people".

hence your justification for this behavior and inability to condemn it.

ummm, please do tell me where i have justified racist behaviour.

arguing race based topics with untrue statements and a vilifying agenda at mind along with other specific posters.

you brought up the race issue, i merely made a comment on it.

and i have made no vilifying or disparaging remarks regarding iran or the middle east, feel free to prove otherwise.

No it's not. They were white Europeans who came to a country that was already occupied by other white Europeans. All they had to do was to assimilate, talk the same way, eat the same food, adopt the same values. After a generation or two they where the same as the locals.

i think you are generalising the experience of these migrants based on your preconceived ideas about what racism/bigotry should be.

have you seen many spanish, italians or greeks? olive skin and dark hair.

and chinese, they would experience a lot of racism, but they always seem to thrive where they settle.

im not saying it is okay and racism/bigotry is good but it is interesting to see how different culutres and ethnic groups handle such adversity.

Of course you can't comprehend these kind of thoughts so I'm not going to discuss this topic any further.

what, coz i dont have dark hair or dark skin im not allowed to experience bigotry or comment on it. your view is as narrow minded as those you're condemning.

As for the whole issue about immigrants acting a certain way when they've lived in Europe I don't have much to say.

that is just an excuse.

many different europeans (poles, italians, germans, ukranians, etc) all migrated to australia after ww2. they were often met with racism and called names like ****.

you know what they did, ignored it and worked hard and built a life for themselves.

I don't know why people keep claiming that we have a problem with the Jews or anyone else for that matter.

whether it is wrong or right, ahmedinejad is a mouth piece for your country.

polaron i think.

they do charge an arm and leg, but they do all the work for you.

and matowy, im contemplating initiating the same procedure, not for eu benefits but so that if i ever decide to travel to europe i can travel easier. and so my future children (god help the world) can also freely travel to europe and work if they so wish.

Australia / Poles in Australia - money for start, chances for a job, costs of living (Brisbane, Bunbury) [50]

Since you're there, what's you take on it?

australia has a stern immigration policy on illegal entries yes.

but on the otherside we have been handing out permanent residency like swap cards to students (mainly indian) that come here to study in areas that are needed like hairdressers and chefs.

i think what flogtime25 was referring to was more the colonial treatment of aborigines and subsequent treatment over the years.

apart from that, i dont see australia as any more/less racist than any ther country i have been to.
