resentful and frustrated poor losers' camp

Oh, but heinous Hanna, the restituion scmaster, is very much a member of that camp. That camp are the poor losers who cannot accept the reuslts of a democratic election namely PO, KOD and .N.

Today horrible Hanna sacked two more undelrings in response to calls for her resignation. She had sacked three others a few days earlier. People say if she had a stitch of honour she would resign.

Volunteered to prosecute dissidents? No proof, just vicious insinuations -- one things you're actually good at. It sure ain't the Polish lingo!
And you're still silent about the blood-dripping Jews. There were so many of them. Most went unpunished, got fat-cat pensions and died of natural causes in their cushy flats. Their progeny are the "ministerial kids" carrying on the tradition of undeserved perks and privilege.

given the kind of multi-million zloty villa

People the talent-starved PZPR needed. After the war, there was a huge shortage of experts, specialists, technicians and others who actually had some skills and knew how to use them. The Senior Kazcyński was one such person. But we don't really know if he was given the house, bought it at your "knock-down price", full market value or what. All this is in the realm of speculation. You seemt to be allergic to facts and proof, so you'd do well to just shut up and give everybody a break!

PiS are not in the losers' camp, they are the winners. It's PO and the KODists
that are constantly whining, whinging, grumbling, insulting and seething with frustration as the nation looks and laughs. It doesn't phase the govt one bit becuase they are too busy implementing one good change after another.

no idea what a regimsit

Because there's no suchthing as "regimsit" which you either misspelt or deliberately distorted. Regimist (Polish: reżimowy) is the adjetival form of regime.

Kaczynski volunteered to serve the commie regime

In a totlaitarian state everything is the regime: hospitals, collieries, schools, butcher's, even public toilets. The people employed there were all serving the regime and should be punished, eh Harry? Your beloved Gronkiewicz studied at a regimist university and got all her academic degrees from the regime. Maybe the prison sentence she gets for her restitution scams should be extended to inlcude the punishment she deseves for her regimsit past?

as a trainee public prosecutor

"As a trainee public prosecutor" is what Semka wrote. Even if its true, it's still a far cry from Harry's super-mega-ultra overinterpretation blended with his wishful thinking and mean-spirited vitirol alleging Jarek wanted only to prosecute poltical dissdents and aid the PZPR regime he hated so.

Isn't it strange how H rides rough-shod over the memory of Jarek's long-dead dad with absolute not proof and only insinuations, but is so tight-lipped about the blood-dripping bolshie Jews. Young Adam grew up in what was then a luxury flat reserved for commie traitors. His parents had access to well-stocked yellow-curtain shops when most Poles had to do wth only the most primitive basics. And it wasn't just the Michniks. There was a slew of such people, whom I have listed in the past. If you want I can do it again. The strange thing is that H never mentions any of that. Is that a void in his historical knoweldge of Polish affairs or a deliberate, shamful silence?

'legal traineeships'

And in this 1% true term you too see and believe the wholly fabricated 99% Harryesque lie alleging that Jarek signed up to prosecute political dissidents and serve the commie regime?

Unless you are bidding to land the title of PF's liar vice-laureate.

applied to become

Again the pidgin syndrome has kicked in. In this context aplikacja is not an English application, a form one fills in to obtain some benefit (scholarship, job, membership of some organisation, etc.) It is a type of traineeship, apprenticeship or internship, an obligatory stage on the way to becoming a lawyer, prosecutor, judge or other court official. In this case, the prosecutorial intership lasts 30 months. Prosecutors even in totalitarian countries like PRL did not deal solely with poltical dissdients but mainly handled criminal cases. You probably also don't knwo German (Anglo-Jabber Forever!), so take my word for it that even under the Nazis there was the Gestapo but also the Kripo (criminal police).

Ultimately this is another case of a Harryesque "1% truth" lie, plus 99% insinuaiton nad fbarication. The 1 % truth is that Kaczyński was a trainee but there is nothing about the cases he dealt with as in intern. If you read the book you'd know the twins were raised in a very patritoic pro-AK, anti-communist atmosphere and were both mummy's boys. Why woudl Jarek sudde turn on his mum and favour a repressive system he had learnt to despise?

But this goes far beyond your linguistic ineptness. Above all it reveals the obsession of a sick mind latching on to a single, innocuous sentenc and elaborating it into a groundless, blanket accusation just to spew some of the hateful vitriol bubbling inside you on Poland's leading statesman. But never a word about the family of blood-dripping Bolsheivsed Jews, the Michniks, and the atmosphere in which Adam was raised. Most Michnik family friends visitng their home were of the same ilk and young Adam thought those were just normal people. To this day Adam mainly interacts by preference with his commie-rooted non-Goy compatriots. Jarek would never call political criminals Jaruzelski and Kiszczak "men of honour", You probabyl would!

volunteering to prosecute the best sort of Poles

Broken record again? Please give me the exact wording. Besides, this is not a documented fact but the take of the book's author.
Again no proof about K.'s dad. It's all the must've, might've, should've, could've type of speculative insinuation that you are known for. And that is not insulting or abusive but fact. You tried to target yours truly with your "former state property" lie and "knock-down price" lie. It's the trademark Harryesque "1% truth" lie. Someone lives in a house = 1% truth; the when, how, who, why and all the rest are malicious Harryesque fabrications. Or someone was seen in a police chopper on one occasion gets catapulted into the sweeping generalisation that he is constantly joyriding at the state's expense.

To bottom line is a bit of friendly advice to PF-ers: most everything my respected interlocutor types is suspect and most likely at great variance with the truth. It should be checked, double-checked and treble-checked. and even then one can never be sure!

volunteered to prosecute

You still haven't given me the relevant sentnce or sentences but sent me half a book. Oh, I forgot, you're pidgin Polish ain't good enough. But you can always ask someone, a neighbour or Polish friend (you do have Polish friends, don't you, or only Anglo-jabber creeps!?) to translate it.

You yourselfself said he had no bank account, and he has never driven a car, which is very modest by today's standards. He is nowhere the hedonist you are, is living in the only family home he has ever known which his family did not steal. Even if the helicopter ride is not something you made up (although no-one would put it past the forum's liar laureate!), it is not something to crucify someone for. Considering his great merits and contributions to the Polish cause, you are not fit to even lick his boots!

special rules

He is universally acknolwedged as Poland's most powerful political figure, a great tactitian and strategist who deserves special recognition and respect. Unlike those dipping in the till and feathering their own nest, he is a man of modest tastes and needs, and his only concern is the good of the nation. In our greedy me-myself-and-I world you have to admit he stands out like a knight in shining amrour in a den of Platformer thieves, a man entirely devoted to the cause of Poland and Poles.

"good change"

Good change for the neglected and hitherto effectviely disenfrachised majority, not for the robber baron clique that has lived in the lap of liuxury by milking the country dry. Now the tables sre turning and guess who I'm rooting for. Not for the greedy, hard-nosed capitalists. I'm for spreading the capital about and that is precisely what Morawiecki wants to do. Spread the fruits of transformation around a bit. Why should the evil schemers believe it is their exclusive property?

One can be negative only about things that are negative such as PO cronyism, elitism, scams, scandals, irrregularities or Amber Gold. When good changes are taking place all about, only a mean-spirited or vindictive fool would fail to see them or try to deride or misrepresent them.

You and your hairless mate must be consummate pessimists, focusing exclusivley on negative things and failures. I suppose you believe Tusk and his stooges could do no wrong. Of course, they never wronged the overprivileged post-RT clique -- they were one of its main driving forces.

a PiS supporter that's the funniest line today

Not really! It is the poor losers' camp that wants to desperately hold on the the status quo that has served their minority so well for a quarter of a century. Unless to you "moving forward" means defending a privileged elite at all costs and to hell with the rest. It is the PiS government that advocates true economic progress across the board.

PiS government

Good-change government to help Polish business expand internationally

The good changes never end. In place of the existing lacklustre Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) the pro-Polish government are setting up a Trade and Investment Agency which will have a much bigger budget and broader powers. It will include a Capital Expansion Fund to help Polish businesses expand internationally, development minister and deputy PM Mateusz Morawiecki revealed at the Krynica Economic Forum. It will be financed by the state budget, EU funds and other sources. This bloke is really on the ball and appears serious about building up Polish industry and quality Polish brands. His predecessors weree mainyl about feathering their own nest!

You mean stranglehold on the Polish economy like that of the Michnik/ex-PZPR clique that has milked Poland for what it is worth since 1989 and is now desperate to restore that lucrative and comfy status quo. No such luck, Charlie! They are fast becoming history. Time moves on as does the nation under the pro-Polish, people-friendyl PiS party!

Whoever planned and/or allowed that

If so, that's good news. Tusk, Arabski and a few other of his stooges will spend some time at an all-expenses-paid state health resort. When you vist them, bring a cake with a file inside!

But you're right. It was a disgrace. A disused, decommissioned and effectively abandoned airfield whose control "tower" was a ground-level shed. Following the crash, someone used a cellphone to shoot scenes of workers hurriedly screwing in landing lights along the air strip which had all burnt out.

disallowed by the EU

This is typical of the destructive criticism of the frustrated and desperate KOD camp. (I'm not surprised at their resentment when the whole bottom has fallen out of their formerly cushy lives!)

But just finding fault is nitpiccng and only generates more rancor and antagonism. If you had said: existing revenue sources are insufficient to balance the social spending, but Morawiecki might look into......... or try to ......... That would be construcutive criticism. That is the only attitude that befits sympathetic observers of the Polish scene, don't you think?

Have they worked out how to pay for any of those changes yet?

The govt is working to balance things off by finding new sources of revenue (eg retail tax on big retail chains and eliminating loopholes facilitating tax evasion) to finance welfare programmes. The World Bank has praised 500+ for stimulating consumption which generates demand, news jobs and overall GDP growth. Aside from the purely economic aspects, to me more important is the fact that many kids went on holiday with their families, attended a summer camp or actually saw the sea or mountains for the first time in their lives. Of course, that wouldn't interest a hard-noser like yourself. Maximum yield, investment returns, dividends and profits are all that counts, innit?

PiS passing round sweets and ice-cream to ordinary Poles is still far better than PO handing out goodies and privileges to the already indecently and usually dishonestly wealthy and overprivileged!

New forget it will take some time to undo the economic vassaldom imposed on Poland by the Tuskutes and theri predecessors. As a result, the vast majrotiy of Poland's large retail chains, major manufacturing plants and banks are ownbed by reps of the foreign-interest groups the Tuskites and their post-commie predecessors had catered to with tax breaks, tender fixing and other under-the-coutner settlemetns in exhcnage for kickbacks. No wonder that crowd (PO, KOD, Petru) are ranting, fuming and foaming at the mouth to bring back the lucrative pre-2016 status quo. But it will never return!

Rzeczpospolita

It's an excerpt form a book and too much reading kust now. Just give the pertinent sentences or paragraph.

the idiocy and arrogance

The arrogance was on the part of the Slavic Laurle & Hardy act -- Tusk & Putin. The Russian Hitler was absolutely opposed to Poland's democratically elected head of state taking part and toady Tusk did everything to shame, ridicule nad discourage Kaczyński. When he saw that wouldn't work, he tried to take centre stage with Putin and relegate the presidential flight to sideshow or also-ran status. One of his stooges in charge of organising the flight picked up on the boss's vibes and is now on trial for neglect of duty.

loudest bleating?

In general, the loudest bleating, grumbling, griping, nitpicking, slandering and overall badmouthing is being done by the poor losders' camp. It may be annoying at times to Poland's first post-1989 democratically elected majrotiy government, but they are calmly and consistently implementing good changes one by one.

volunteered to prosecute dissidents

Another broken record obsession, but you have never posted a single reliable link. Unless you again are stretch things to mean that everyone in a postion of some authority in PRL puppet Poland had to function within structures created by Soviet stooges. That applied to academics, jorunalists, writers and especially judges and prosecutors. It therefore encompassed 99% of KOD, PO and Petru folks who had achieved the age of majority in puppet Poland.

Has cut-throat capitalism worked well, equitably shared a nation's wealth and not created groups of indecently wealthy oligarchs nor subjected the economy to the control of powerful foreign interest groups? If so, then one wouldn't repeatedly be hearing about the need for "capitlaism with a human face". represent what the local citizenry wants

That's the formula for all successful politics. That's the reason behind the support PiS now enjoy. The politicans (PO) decided to raise retirement age, lower school-entry age, not provide child benefits like 500+ and cater to foreign corporations without asking Poles whether that was what they wanted. PiS on the contrary have their hand on the nation's pulse and know what most people want. PO knew mainly what their foreign masters wanted, acted accordingly and were rewarded with hefty kickbacks. And they got away with it for 8 years thanks to their slick propaganda. Eventually people began seeing through the thin veneer of PO's deceptive PR rhetoric. glorious leader

After the losers one after the other took the floor to say what a sh*t the Marshal of the Sejm was and took swipes at Kaczyński along the way. Jarek finally took the floor and said: "It looked like they wanted to remove not Kuchciński but me." Very poignant message, because as a rank-and-file MP Kaczyński cannot be removed unless he committed some capital crime like murdering his cat or the "cat-burner" (Palikot). Yes, the losers constantly have to find other scapegoats for their hysteria and hate industry, because K. is untouchable.

They constantly complain that K. is governing from the backseat, but there is no law or rule against that. We can all just see Wałęsa taking Duda to the World Court over the widespread conviction that he signed on to become an SB informer! And Kijowski's new Underground Poland should be called not Polska Walcząca, but Polska Uwłaczająca!

News / Poland's resentful and frustrated poor losers' camp still at it [53]

A total of 234 MPs voted today against the move to strip Sejm Marshal (speaker) Kuchciński of his duties, with 169 voting in favour and 28 abstaining. The motion for the resignation of Marek Kuchciński from his position as speaker was filed by the opposition Civic Platform (PO) party.

And this wasn't the first time. Although they lack the votes to carry this out, they have repeatedly called for no-confidence votes in different govt ministers, as a sterile political dmeonstation tghat has wasted the taxpayer's money by launching long.windewd by ultiamtely pointless debates.

Every occasion the slam the govt and make the news including the 70-year-late funeral of anti-communist freedom-fighters Inka and Zagończyk. Accursed soldiers and patriotic memorial masses are not the KOD's preferred ambience, so when they turned up waving KOD banners outside the basilica and loudly chanting"de-mo-kra-cja" during the funeral mass, it was obvious their behaviour had nothing to do with the occasion and was intended as a provocation. Kijowski's sidekick displayed a bandaged hand, initially claiming he was hurt by political opponents outside the basilica. When witnesses saw he had already come to the basilica with the bandage, he was forced to explain he had actually injured his hand at a (most likely tipple-laced) party. Kijowski is also calling for the creation of a Polish "underground state" to combat the ruling PiS administration.

With TV cameras whirring when Duda came up and offered Wałęsa the sign of peace during a Solidarity anniversary mass, the ex-president had no choice but to accept and shake Duda's hand. But soon thereafter he threatended to put Duda on trial before na internaitonal court if he didn't apologise for referring to him as a commie-era secret police informer.

And a bunch of Rzeplińskis crony judges gathered (befittingly) in the Palace of Culture to discuss judicial matters, but failed to explain why court proceedings are so bureacratised, take so long and are so people-unfriendly. Instead, the gathering turned into an anti-PiS hate rally where judges set themselves above other branches of government and claimed no-one had the right to assess or criticise their behaviour or performance. The only major profession that did not undergo Poland's lacklustre "lustracja", judicial circles are among the country's communities with the most PRL-era ties and pro-communist rulings to their record. Although the judges claim to be unbiased, non-partisan and apolitical, their conference attracted the most vicious anti-government polticians representing PO, .N and KOD.

xenophobes!

Actually Poles can be best described by a term rarely encountered anywhere else: xenophile (foriegn lover). In Mickiewicz's classic national poem "Pan Tadeusz" there is a line that goes: Co Francuz wymyśli, Polak polubi. It could be updated with: Co Jankes wymyśli, Polak polubi.

That is part of the Polish inferiorty complex -- if it's foreign, it must be good. That xenophilia applies mainly to well-liked, developed nations such as those of N. America and Western Europe. The xenophilia usually does not extend to Arabs, gipsies, Turks, Russians, Africans and other Third World folk.

Unless you are obsessed with the nationality issue

It can be an obsession to some, or it can simply be a logical and practical consideration.
Even people of the same nationality and religion can come from differently run homes and have vastly different likes, dislikes and priorities. If different nationalities are combined, the differences are mutliplied. In general, the more common values, customs and preferences two people share, the more likely their marriage will endure. Although there is no guarantee, and it still takes loads of goodwill, elasticity and willingness to compromise. Such things as child rearing, spending habits, preferred pastimes and food prefences can become major problems in some cases. Also, one should never forget that one is not marrying just oen other person, but his or her family as well. And men are advised to remember that theri beautiful young bride will most likely end up in years to come looking much like her mother does at present. It's worth thinking about.
