Love / English boyfriend coming to visit me in Poland [55]

I count one real pole = McCoy.

Sok = 2

Sunshine = 3

Magda = 4

: if they don't want to have a complete stranger in their flat, they are un-Polish and should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves! :-/

Yeah shame on you, you selfish Pole for not wanting some random stranger in your house!!!! :D

Love / What do Polish guys think of Irish girls? [187]

Half of British women are transvestites

Women cant be transvestites :D Or do you mean that half of British men are transvestites?

Arrr, I just love this thread..

This mostly Irish guy thinks Polish women are wonderful.

This mostly English woman thinks that mostly Irish guys are mostly retarded fuglies who generally couldnt pull a pig in drag!

Actually i'm always issuing sound opinions based on the fact that its me who issues them.

You lived in London sweetie, everyone knows that all the attractive English women are in the north of England ;0)

This Irish guy is married to a Polish girl,.. but still don't agree with Sokrates opinion.

Because you're a gentleman thats why.

Love / English boyfriend coming to visit me in Poland [55]

Then I would finish him somewhere in the middle of the night,

?

What do you mean? Murder plan?

LOL

If he were my boyfriend

He's not, but we are glad to hear that:

and if I was from a nice family

Everything would be lovely in the world of bringing boyfriends home.

Clearly this girls parents would not be comfortable with a stranger in the flat, I can tell you now, neither would mine, I dont think it has anything to do with them not possessing this wonderful Polish hospitality thats so often talked about, because most of the Poles have reponded that they think a hotel is much better.

News / Poland rejects H1N1 vaccine [28]

Glaxo Smith Kline hardly have the best reputation for drugs, look at how many sued them because of seroxat, good on Poland, if they are confident that 1,000s are not going to die as a direct result of them not purchasing this drug...Which probably wont, its hardly the Spanish flu.

Law / Polish passport for a Pakistani guy in Poland? [20]

integrated into Polish society

By finding the first mosque and butcher that sells halal, by telling his family back home how easy it is to get into Poland..they'll apply for visitors visas and never leave...Poland has it all to come :D

leave him alone. lets listen to john lenon and wear our che guevara tshirts.

Only if you play Kumbaya on the guitar!

He wants to be Polish

Nope, he wants a ticket out of Poland and into the rest of the EU...

Law / Polish passport for a Pakistani guy in Poland? [20]

arrrhh the new age of Polish pakistanis (Lodz will love this!) so instead of hearing on the news about British "born" paki terrorists, soon it will be Polish pakistani terrorists...You can now look forward to demonstrations in the streets of Poland when shite goes on in their country, because they expect your government to do something, because of course they are citizens of your country now..I think Siberia is my next holiday destination, dont think they've managed to spread that far!

....i m frm pakistan living in poland last 3 years with polish wife

now i apply for polish passport

Would your wife not have these answers? Or might she be curious to know why you want documents for her country?

You have to be married for at least 3 years

A person may be naturalised as a Polish citizen after 5 years residence in Poland with a permanent residence permit. That person will most likely be required to renounce any other citizenship held. (not sure about the renouncing thing)

Food / Burgers, why not in Poland? [54]

He does lamb kofters (spelling) as well - but not eaten one of them either...Im sure I couldn't, even at the threat of an ass kicking...They all have fat in them, I'd grill it to a cinder! That would be a worse thought for you ;0) My friends little boy loves them (she's another who supports her local butcher) - in fact I think he'd turn his nose up at a pre-packed one :D

As I stated I have tried, a few years ago, but these days the thought of one makes me retch! I think the prog where this guy did "barely legal burgers" really compounded my thoughts on them...Google it..even the ones that say they are 99% beef are lying through their teeth!

Support your local butcher!

I do - its family run and I know the family and I know the farms where they get their lamb from and I know they get most of their beef from Scotland - he actually makes his own burgers, but Im still not interested.

Love / English boyfriend coming to visit me in Poland [55]

it does sound a bit unwelcoming,

We dont know their circumstances or how large the flat is, they also might be quiet people who dont really want a stranger in the house whilst their daughter is out all day...Im sure they'll have him round for tea to check him out and show their hospitality then.

If it were me I would be happier to stay in a hotel and meet the parents over a meal or whtever. One step at a time;)

My thoughts exactly.

Food / Burgers, why not in Poland? [54]

Do you like meat-balls? As proper burgers are practically the same thing, give or take a few different spices

No, dont get me wrong I like cottage pie, so Im not against minced steak, I just dont like meatballs or burgers...its just my preference...I would never be bothered to cook them at home and Im funny about food so I wouldnt eat them out anywhere...I have tried them (years ago) but I wouldnt eat one these days.

Travel / Fish and Chips in Warsaw [53]

It surprises me that you are so up for everything British but dislike our national dish :D

I was being sarcastic :D I love our national dish - once in a blue moon its a lovely treat...Im a northerner, we have some of the best chippies in the country ;0) In fact we have "the" best chippy in the country up the road from where I live :D (it won the title)

Food / Burgers, why not in Poland? [54]

Why do you ask so many questions?

Im just curious to know why on earth people want to eat burgers - regardless of their meat content, I'd rather have a steak, at least know its proper meat and not full of fat or been fried in oil or been bulked out with all sorts...Its just my preference I suppose.

News / Should Poland Remove Visa Restrictions? [285]

No they aren't...they are quite cheap that's all.

That can be said about quite a few nations..poor quality, but high output.

As for visa restrictions, I hear that they are changing a few things with regards to EEC members brining spouses to the UK. Im also in favour of stricter visa controls not loser ones, most UK innercities have already been trashed by certain minories, can you imagine if our boarders were open! NO THANKS!

UK, Ireland / UKs worst drink driver is Polish. [24]

Yeah, second worst in history is a local lad! Should I be proud or worried?

All joking aside, I think the sentenses are a bloody joke and these people should be locked up and made to visit people who have lost loved ones because of the acts of drunk drivers...Let them know what can happen! He should be deported with no option to return once he has been through the courts.

Love / What do Polish guys think of Irish girls? [187]

or in your case a chipolata!

guess the Vikings left some DNA on that island

Along with the Spanish and the English and probably the French.

The one's I've met are very curvy, sexy, well mannered, intellgent.

These are Americans, not Irish, half of them probably dont even know where Ireland is!

USA, Canada / Moving back from Canada to Poland, yes or no? [39]

You can't just...move to France.

Brits do it all the time :D Besides you cant just move to the UK or Ireland either...

Murderous taxes plus strikes all the time.

Tax isnt a problem if you earn enough and they are both professionals so I dont see that being a problem. As for strikes, what country doesnt have them...Id still say its a better option than the UK.

USA, Canada / Moving back from Canada to Poland, yes or no? [39]

I am thinking of Ireland or UK

If he is Canadian, he will need a visa even though you have Polish citizenship - as for your dream of a cottage in an idealic country village, unless you have a spare £250k then forget it...Its very expensive in the UK, far less sq ft for your $. A friend of mine has just gone back to live in Canada (born in UK raised to mid teens in Canada) and said its the best move she has ever made going back with her young family......I hear France is a nice place, why not try there, your husband speaks French.

Love / What to Get my Polish Guy for Valentines Day. [77]

he jokes about a threesome

OMG, thats not funny..He was hinting! :D

No the meaning isn't the same.

Yes it is....its just spiralled

Valentines was never about giving anything except love (as totally silly that probably sounds, :) lol)

Wrong, it was about giving a tolken gift.

never giving anything material.

Wrong again...

and the present is usually the most important thing

Sweetie, women have always like guestures and gifts, since the the begining of time..so..again.... you are wrong...

Language / Polish and Hungarian, how similar? [53]

why not?

Because:

Czechoslovakia

Maybe that was an Abr. But it was always referred to as Czechoslovakian in the UK and not Czech.

But I do agree with:

Unless the Hungarians could also speak some Czech, which is possible, depending on which part of Hungary they came from

But I would have said more, what part of Slovakia they came from (former Czechoslovakia) - borders have changed, in which case they would have spoken Slovakian or possibly Hungarian but lived in Czechoslovakia and an area which was Hungarian formally territory..

Love / I want my Polish gf to live with me but she says life here is too hard [31]

All I can suggest is trying to find a decent job for her but like I said it's hard in the UK at the mo

Rocking horse and shite springs to mind!

Whilst I feel for the OP, this girl, if she loved you, would stay the distance...two years is quite a long time, just make her feel secure is all I can say, not a lot else you can do...or let her go home and see how the reality is and she'll be back in a week or so.
