Love / Polish girls hard in relationships [156]

Polish girls do seem to be a tad bit more emotional. If they only learned to generate positive vibes and energy. They seem to thrive off of negativity, I just don't get it.

i'd say people, not just girls.

USA, Canada / How to get Drivers license in IL without social security? [96]

how is that the problem of legal americans? ILLEGAL means just that. those who hold that status shouldn't be here... it's that simple.. if you want to be here and have all the same advantages a resident has, you better fill out the correct paperwork otherwise i see no point in letting them stay here. i am all for deportation.

Food / Borscht - Zurek / Bialy barszcz recipe [153]

Aha, in Silesia it's most commonly z jajkiem. Pepper is up to the adder of it. Here, the sausage is cooked like in zosia's example.

interesting, for sure.

Food / Borscht - Zurek / Bialy barszcz recipe [153]

It is eaten with eggs and lots of pepper.

in selesia it must be.. not other places necessarily. good stuff none the less. i've never had it with egg but always with the white kielbasa and potatoes.

One ring of fresh Polish kielbasa. Baked for about 20 minutes at 300 degrees.

see above. i've never seen or heard of this. same goes for baking it. normally, raw kielbasa goes in maybe the last 20-30min of cooking the soup.

Pour into the Borcht,

seems that's only kielbasa water at this point. hmm how did the borscht become?

USA, Canada / National City Bank complaint. Polish-client experience. [20]

You see, the system would be very slow and non responsive if the bank kept a year of data on each and every customer...it's just a simple business practice - everywhere.

online i can look at all info dating to the moment my account was opened. my present bank.

So I'm going shopping tomorrow.

lol. you go girl.

USA, Canada / National City Bank complaint. Polish-client experience. [20]

they are a midwestern usa bank but one could probably use them from abroad. i really don't ever need to go in. i use my visa/atm/check card for everything. i pay all my bills through their website an have my pay directly deposited.

Advice: Take everything out your bank and put it under your floorboards.

no, don't do that. transform your cash into precious metals and then bury those somewhere. :D

USA, Canada / National City Bank complaint. Polish-client experience. [20]

no worries mate, they are being bought out by NBP anyway.

they did rob me at least $100 a few years back with some funky bs so they can go to hell.

i love huntington bank. their customer service is A+ and the features of their website rock. check them out.

No attempt at all at explaining what that means.

As good Poles will tell you, the practising level here is very low.

well, you know.. church is one thing, life another.

USA, Canada / Sending packages from US to PL, cheapest alternative? [36]

ups is more expensive then usps. i thought usps was more then reasonable on a small package; down right cheap, really. i'll be sending one here in the next week or two and will know for sure but that's what it was a couple of years back anyway.

Food / Polish food in Pictures. [277]

PD has been cooking again. :) This time placki ziemniaczane. :) They were delicious (even if I do say so myself ;) It's probably not traditional ingrediants but close enough. :)

these look more like hashbrowns then placki ziemniaczane though. placki are made from finely ground potatoes while the other is made of shredded (larger) pieces.

Life / COMBATING "POLACK" JOKES [460]

Polish Jokes have been around for a very long time. Some people find them offensive, some find them funny, some don't. The thing is, most of these jokes can be applied to practically any race, color, creed, or individual.
