Firstly, why would you confine your question to English guys?

Secondly, My girlfriend is Polish and I am English - to date she's never given me any indication that she's scared of me - but I think I've never given her reason to be afraid . . .

They steer clear of Austrians.
They make out with Frenchmen.

They hate Asians, looks askance at Africans and despise all Americans.
They've never heard of Australians because Australians live too far away.

My experience after one year in warsaw is that polish girls doesnt like to speak english. They just arent very confident. When I ask a guy if he speaks english he will often say "ofcourse!" If i ask a girl she will mostly say "A little" even though the girls are at least as good as the guys=)

Generally they just don't like speaking in English unless you are rich and can buy them lots of cosmetics and clothes, (well the ones i have met in Poznan)

On the other hand I met a girl from a village just outside Poznan and she couldnt' do enough and baked cakes, cooked food etc which I found equally as strange.

I don't know where you come from or where you knock about but believe me you've not been speaking to a Brit. That must be a foreigner "attempting" to speak English or an attempt on the cockney accent that has gone terribly wrong! O.O

Are all girls scared of you or only Polish ones? If its only the latter, then I would suggest trying another race.

I don't think Polish girls are afraid of British men, but I often wonder as to why they are with some of them (the girl with the British man that is)...
