I am considering moving to Germany, however I'm going to need to polish off mein Deutsch and finish my degree here in the UK, so it'll be a while.
But only if I'll be able to find a job that corresponds with my education. That's probably the biggest hurdle in finding job here - I don't know much about the local jobs market and how willing would the employers be to employ me. I hear that Germans are more 'rigid' in this regard. Other issue could be acceptance of the (local) society, so I'd most likely live in a big town and keep a low profile (that's the way I'm living here, anyway).

Generalnie ludzie unikają wymawiania mojego nazwiska, a jak już to 'po angielsku'. Ale raz byłem w szpitalu i szkocka pielęgniarka wymówiła je praktycznie bezbłędnie. Chyba jacyś Polacy musieli się tam przede mną pętać.

I suppose it's because there wouldn't be too much demand for ready-made ice. Large part of people try to save on everything, and making ice at home is dead easy and cheap. You just buy special plastic bags or little moulds, fill it with water and pop them into the freezer and voilá. And some shops have fridges and some not.
Man! there's a heat wave in poland, is over 90°F and somebody sell ice, if you go to the store things like waters,beers and juices not even cold and if you go to a friends house they kill you with a hot tea hehehe......In USA and other country you dont see that...

But on a more serious note, I'd advise against going to Poland in a car suspended so low. As Wroclaw and convex said, you may hear some very unpleasant thuds in the region of the undercarriage of your car during your journey, which may result in an unwanted visit at a garage (and spoiling of your view of Poland, which we want to avoid:). There are car hire companies in Kraków, which offer not only Chevy Aveos.

No, it's not. In order to renounce Polish citizenship you have to apply directly to the President of the Rep. of Poland. Then your application gets stuck inside some 1,5 km high pile of papers. Then our Presidente refuses to renounce your citizenship, because being a Polish citizen is equivalent to being a property by Poland.
I hope this will be addressed by the lawmakers not only in Poland but also in other civilised countries. You already have the right to vote in European and, I suppose, local elections (at least in the UK). Additionally, I can also vote in elections to Scottish Parliament. The people living long term in countries but not holding their citizenships should be allowed to vote after some time. However, I suppose there would be some opposition - which would be absolutely understandable - against participation of people who only take from the system contributing nothing or little. So I guess in this case you'd have to bring along your payslips in order to vote :)

It's an interesting point. But following your logic, would you then accept that foreigners living in Poland, working and paying taxes there, have the right to vote?

I like the one: '...a u was Murzynów biją!' (...and they beat Blacks in your country!). It derives from the time of the dark communist times in Poland, when the propaganda painted dark and gloomy (somehow right) picture of America where black people (Murzyni) were discriminated against. It's just basically points at someone's hypocrisy.
One of anti-USA posters (rather funny to see an Afroamerican screaming in Polish, hehe)

I've got mixed feelings about taxi. I had to pay over 50 ZLP for a taxi (it was supposed to be an 'acquainted' driver :/ I guess I trust taxi driver less than the Polish government) from Ochota (close to the centre) to the Airport. I guess if you won't be in a hurry, bus No. 175 will be a reasonable alternative. Remember to buy a normal (i.e. not a discounted one -that's for students, veterans and OAPs) ticket at a 'kiosk' (it's close to the entrance to the Airport).
PS. If you decide to take a bus, check on the timetable that it goes past the Dworzec Centralny. That's my advice to ensure that you take the right one :)
Also, since I have to be in Warschau soon for a day, I would like to know how much the taxi fares would be from the Airport to the City Centre? Or the taxi-fares in general in Warschau? I haven't got the details of where exactly I have to be yet, that's why I ask for the City Centre. Thanks!

But 'pies' (and other animals, plants etc.) is an 'inanimate' object in grammatical sense (i.e. it gets all the relevant endings as 'real' inanimate objects for example 'stół'). 'Chłopiec' is the only animate noun here.
