This seems to be a rather sad story

Tullamore stabbing: Victim 'turned knife on himself' in love dispute

Grzegorz Guzik (30), a Polish national, died in hospital shortly after he was discovered with a stab wound to the upper chest at a rented house on Kilbride Street in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
It is believed Mr Guzik may have turned the knife on himself following a dispute at the house.
Emergency services were at the scene at 7.25am on Thursday shortly after they received a 999 call from the house.

Work / Turkish bachelor student wants to study and live in Poland [22]

Hi, you are asking if you get a free education because you think that you will get high marks.

There is a lot of competition for in Poland. You would need to be able to talk/write in Polish. Why would you not go to a English speaking country like Uk to study/work?

Do you have the money to support yourself for the 4 or 5 years of education? How would you pay tax if your a full time student with no Polish? How would you become a citizen?

Just in case anyone was wondering what the level of Polish people in Ireland was in 2011. Many of you may not know Talbot street(dublin), but there are 2 barber shops, 3 foods shops and a canteen type shop, It's like being in Poland when you are walking on it with alot of people conversing in Polish.

Please ignore this excuse for a irishman, he has too much time on his hands. If he were a genuine member of the Irish/Polish community he would cop on not to insult people and he would cop on that the irish were in the same situation(before internet was availble).

IF you get a copy of the GAA fixture's that are on TV, you would meet loads of Irish guys. You would have to wait till September though for the All Ireland matches to happen. The All Ireland games will bring many Irish men to the pub

How do you know that all irish go to escorts, are on anti depressants, are immature.

Polish guy = drinks beer on street and go to gym. Are members of white only and neo nazi gangs. If you generise the Irish, we can do it to the Polish. BTW Iam married to a Polish girl and she does,t think you are nice with your description.

Travel / Driving from Krakow to Wroclaw to Gdansk in June (roads and driving time info) [11]

I had posted a reply, it will take about 10 hours from katowice to Gdansk including 1.5 hours of breaks. I think I came across 3 tolls, but I had a book of tokens from the inlaws. I can not remember the toll charge, but it was no more than 2 euro. The roads I found to be in good order. Just keep your speed up and you will be fine

I did not know that it had facebook page to comment on. Yeah I think the weekends, people do not work on it. I was just curious if it was set up like the thejournal.ie which seems to be open to budding writers.

you can get a place for about 2500 zl per month. You need to figure out the fit out cost, stock cost, and cash to see you though for a couple of months until you get going. You also need to take polish lessons. Why would you open a business if you can not speak Polish?

To set up as a company you would need 5k zl in the bank account. Various fee's for accountant go from 200 to what ever you want to pay.

You might have to pay a large deposit on the property.

I would put aside some money to do research. Is there a need for your business.

Its really quiet simply, revoke found himself a Polish girl. Fell in love, and then she broke his heart. Thank god the internet was not around when all the Irish went to New York and built the place, became police and took the highest office in the land.

Next on the irish list is Aus, then maybe Canada.

By the way, reckon he won't go to Poland during Euro's to support our boys because he doesn't want to spend money in Poland.

No one should be looked at as a failure. The guy on the street could be a very bright guy, but certain things happened to him. It could happen to any of use. In Ireland I know that they used to have a bus that went around Dublin every night looking for homeless people to bring to a hostle. The weather is good in Dublin compared to Poland, but last year we did have a number of deaths because of weather.

If I see a homeless person, I normally talk to them for 20 minis or so, buy some food and try to make them feel like they can get back on track.

Travel / Trying to plan trip to Poland for 2012 [10]

If I were you, I would plan a flight from the US to Amsterdam, them onto Gdansk. I would hire a car and then break the trip from Gdansk to Krakow into 2 night breaks. You could spend a few days in Sopot (nice beach resorts), Warsaw, Wroclaw, Zakopane, Krakow. I have done the drive from Gdansk to Katowice before, with taking a break(maybe 1 hour for food and move the leges) every 4 hours, it took about 12 hours. If you go on to the AA roadwatch website you can print out the route you need to take. It's a lot more fun to hire a car than to go on a bus tour.

I'am sure its acceptable for the majority, but my inlaws had a few issues when they built a house in the mountains about 3 hour drive from Katowice. There older neighbours thought that they were part german because they came from 30mins outside Katowice. It took them a while to win them over, but now they are part of the village.
