Study / Times Higher Education rankings 2012 Poland's top universities at end! [93]

As a matter of fact, biology is fantastic and somebody with passion would talk for hours about cell's organellas. Many doesn't know that because it's not in a textbook, and somehow rightfully so at that level.

But do not shot down a kid who wants to speak up.

I agree with you a.k. about the slogans and I call it narrow-mindness.

I don't agree Barney. Many kids are too smart to be in the class with other avarage kids. And it is not because of a teacher, some kids are just gifted and it is lowering their level when they have to sit in a classroom where a teacher is explaining 5th time the same thing to students when the smart kid got it in 5 mins. Waste of their time and their future.

I mean any school.

Is a kid with high grades and ambitions stay in a class with other B and C students or will be moved to a school where more kids smart like him are to challenge his knowledge on higher level than usual in schoold.

I'm talking about elementary or high school, because uni is up to the kid mostly anyway.

Are there any schools (public or private) in Poland where can study a student who is smarter, more intelligent than other kids, has better grades? In some countries, those smart kids are recognized by teachers and moved to schools or classes with higher lever.

So what does if a baby is born a "bastard?"

it is quite upsetting what you write on PF, Polonius. i would expect that from the forum trolls, but not a mature, (i guess) educated, Catholic man.

Sadly, because of people like you, stereotypes are born.
And all the values, which Catholics are supposed to believe in, go to trash.
I guess, not believers are statistically more decent people.

Telling it to a man: Czy jesteś szczęśliwy? - Are you happy?

Telling it to a woman: Czy jesteś szczęśliwa? - Are you happy?

Love / Why don't Polish women treat education seriously for themselves? [130]

Let's face it, why do we have separate men's and women's events at the Olympic Games?

again. women are better at some stuff than men. men are better at some stuff than women.
it doesn't mean that men are better in general than women.

give me an exapmle of great female scientist, someone on pair with Darwin, Einstein, Newton, etc

boletus kindly gave you the list of women. you must remember that it was in times when women were not able to fully show off they intellectual side because of their social role assigned by men was in a kitchen and with children. only a few had proved themselves.

if everybody was thinking like you, kondzior, the civilization wouldn't be able to make a step forward.

there are jobs only for women and there are jobs only for men. of course, both genders are more than welcome to do each others job.

but it does not mean than men are better than women and vice versa. they are just better at doing different things.
