Work / Can I survive in Poland as a working student? [8]

The biggest job-seeking website I am aware of is pracuj.pl. Of the 40,824 job offers listed on the site at the moment, 19,298 require the knowledge of English, 3,490 German, 823 French, 577 Polish (sic !), 382 Italian, 322 Russian, 321 Spanish, 277 Dutch, 196 Czech, 163 Swedish.

What may interest you perhaps the most, 26 job offers require the knowledge of Turkish!

Work / Which is better country for an educated professional - Poland or Spain? [6]

I did master in finance and i am having 5 year experience in accounts & finance.

Then I think your chances are not that bad if this is the case.

As i said i don't know polish language's but i know english very well.

I would rely more on Belarussian than English in Poland in your everyday life. As a Pole I can pretty easily follow the news or films broadcast on Belsat, a TV channel in Belarussian financed by the Polish government (btw, it is extremely funny to hear all their commentators speaking Belorussian, whereas people in the streets interviewed by TV Belsat crews almost exclusively speak in Russian). There is a growing numbers of Ukrainians working in Poland due to the increasing shortage of domestic labour force in Poland, but also a (much smaller) number of Belarussians is reported. It shouldn't be difficult to learn Polish for you given that you are already well accustomed to the Latin alphabet.

In the world of finance English is of course a very big advantage, but reasonably good Polish is necessary if you are thinking of a "good job" in Poland

Polonia / Work in Denmark? Do you want it? A versatile builder who can speak English needed. [55]

So why should Polish worker in Danmark make less than a Dane?

Why, indeed? I can see no valid reason to pay someone less just because they are a foreigner,

Indeed, so why did the OP ask this question if it is so obvious what he should pay a foreigner?
But wait, the OP has explained it already:

we need to know to deside either to hire a Polish guy or just hire Danish labor even though that is more expensive

News / The first PiS led government in 2005 lasted just over 2 years in Poland. [129]

but this one is wide off the mark!

No, it rather isn't. Perhaps she should have called it "political culture" rather than "democracy".

Poland had experience of democracy (or at least elections) before many western european countries,

These elections greatly degenerated over time. Anyway, you cannot compare them to modern elections. The election of the last king of Poland, for example, was done in a place surrounded with the Russian army if I remember well.

Elections in England of the 18th century were largely bribed. I remember seeing a painting pompuously showing a scene of bribing an election in England.

Love / Should I follow her? I met a beautiful Polish woman who has been working in the UK [62]

I sure wouldn't want to be with someone who goes to a forum and says such things about me because he's angry.

Don't blame him so much. He may be in need to talk to someone about his problem as he may have no one to talk about it. It is just terrible to be alone with a problem all the time.

we are getting only one side of the story, and an extremely biased one at that.

If it's biased or not, we don't know, but you have hit the nail on the head. Not without reason the ancient Romans used to say: audiatur et altera pars. That is why I have advised a professional counselor to them. Such a person can listen to the story of each sides separately and listen to both of them sitting together. Both sides may also be able to talk face-to-face in a non-confrontational way in the presence of a counselor.

Spot on Ziem, [...] they expect the man to notice that something's wrong rather than just coming straight out with it. if the man doesn't notice, they get angry etc

Very angry indeed. I've been married to a Polish woman for quite a long time now, so I'm talking from my own experience!

I'm done with this thread. Can a mod please delete it?

I don't think it is a good idea. This thread is public property now and other people may benefit from it as well.

Just calm down and re-think your position. I think it would be good for both of you if you had a break for some time.

Also, it may be good to take the advice of a professional counselor before you make any decisive move.

Sue literally has nothing to offer the world except for her pussy.

But that's exatly what Crow had told you a little while before:

In a world of dogs, male always follow female if wants something. Similar is with humans.

And you have said "Woof!" to it.

Beyond that "woof" thing that greatly atrracts you to her, did you ever tell her you wanted to marry her? For a woman, and not necessarily a Polish woman only, it may be vital as a starting point for thinking about a serious life beyond a relationship you have now. Did you tell her you would like to have children with her?

Also, Polish women tend to communicate indirectly very much. It is often a hard job for a man to guess what they really have in mind in behaving in a specific way rather than telling you straight away.

Also, I have noticed the following facts you reveal about her which you should ponder upon:

After a few failed relationships

and not feeling satisfied with her career

Finally, I have a vague feeling that your relansionship is quite far from being mature.

News / Will eight million Polish people flock to the UK now that we are going for a hard Brexit? [38]

Situation in Poland and Serbia improves but, its rather slow process.

It is slow and it is not the economic development only that matters. Besides, you shouldn't think that the present European immigration policy continues for ever. The next move which is likely to be a victory of Madame Le Pen in France could change things dramatically for the EU.

do you mean military support Crow or economic?? Or both?

I would say the US military support in that the military umbrella is stretched over Europe and Europe may sleep in calm in the hope that the US would intervene when Europe is in danger. Thus Europe may think: ah, we don't need to spend so much money on defense while Uncle Sam sits nearby, just across the pond. Let's spend this money on social welfare and other more pleasant things than the army as we Europeans deserve it, don't we?

Crow, my dear! Things do not change so quickly as you would wish.

Soon enough, it would be much worse in Britain then in Poland.

Not without reason there are nearly one million Polish immigrants living in the UK at present. And it is very unlikely that "soon enough" they all come home and on top of that we will have one million native British immigrants in Poland soon.

How many Serbian immigrants live in Germany, for example? My wife and I know one Serbian family (living in the vicinity of Kraljevo now) whose daughter emmigrated to Germany and maried a Serbian man with whom they remain in Germany bringing up their children there. Do you really think they are ready to flock back to Serbia?

Language / 'Dobrze ze jestes' Polish phrase [3]

If it's in a (love) song, it'll be "Good that you are with me". More generally, it'll be "Good that you are here".

Language / Male name declension in Poland [38]

... which means "you can say BOTH" w Warszawie" AND "w Wrocławiu"

No, it means you can say w Warszawie i Wrocławiu in place of saying w Warszawie i we Wrocławiu.

Nie ma obowiązku powtarzać przyimka przed każdym rzeczownikiem w szeregu

Just that it's correct.

It's incorrect in the same way as "we Warszawie" is incorrect.

We Warszawie he does it being weeeeeell aware it's incorrect

wE Wrocławiu IS ACCEPTED USAGE

Not only it is accepted usage, but also it goes in accordance with the rule.

Language / Male name declension in Poland [38]

Sometimes the rules don't explain everything and it is the usage which may be the decisive factor. For example, I would always use the phrase "we Lwowie", but I would definitely prefer to say "w Lwówku Śląskim".

You can say both "w Wrocławiu" and "we Wrocławiu".

Never heard or read "w Wrocławiu".

Language / Male name declension in Poland [38]

You are right - these are all mistakes. "Przez Baracka Obamę" is the corrrect form heard everywhere on TV and radio. "Przez Baracka Obama" sounds weird. Likewise, you will say "przez Donalda Trumpa".

The general rule in Polish is to decline everything that is feasible for declension.

News / Ethnic tensions erupt in Ełk, Poland [180]

(and domestic book production in the Arab world is pretty miserable as well). The Arab world is the current sick man of the world.

But remember that their birth rate is very high and it is demography that ultimately shapes the world (and also the environment, but with this global warming taking place on the planet, people with darker skins will be better adapted to a new environment coming up).

What is the most shocking part for me some people do not seem to understand 21 year old Daniel is dead...

So you think a mob applauding the hooligans throwing stones and fighting the police isn't shocking?

What about his family his girlfriend/friends people who have grown up with him, his community ?

It seems the community had serious problems with him before that. The 21-year old was summoned to the prosecutor's office four times and in 2016 he was prosecuted for robbery and issuing threats to people - the public prosecutor reveals.

What is even more shocking in this story is the behaviour of the crowd after the incident.

- I saw a mob in front of the bar who applauded the hooligans throwing stones at the windows. The bigger the stone was, the greater was the crowd's applaud - says Bogusław Chrabota, editor of the national paper Rzeczpospolita. - It was the first time in my life I witnessed the birth of a pogrom - he added.

Despite calls from the police, 150 out of about 300 people continued to remain in the place, so police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
