News / "Shale Gas Revolution" will make Poland a Leading Country in Europe! [202]

Well, Poles are pessimists by nature. Pragmatic Poles prefer hard numbers to nice words and promises, they will believe it when they see it.

Wrong.Poles are not pessimistic but realistic and they know that even if there is some NG in Poland all they (the Poles ) will get out of it is a polluted enviroment after Americans take NG and Polish crooks (or "politicians) take the money. If Americans are such a good friends as they say then why they won't give us a technology so WE can extract this gas?I say f u c k it,this gas been there for a long time already and nothing will happen if it will stay there few more years until WE will be able to extract it WITHOUT ANY FORAIGN involvement.Americans and other foraigners need to look for NG in their own countries and leave Poland alone.

UK, Ireland / Bath City offers 80% discount to Polish people [18]

Yeah I am aware it wouldn't be fair to knock down with a sucker punch some possibly innocent Brit in Poland. On one hand I guess I can understand their frustration, on the other one I am Polish and right after reading this kind of stuff I really feel hatred toward Brits. But like I am saying after cooling off a bit I realize that I should not paint all of them with the same brush.

Did you guys read comments under this news???I did and the Bath City would have to pay me to go see the game.A lot of hatred there towards Polish people.Makes me really fired up and beat the living $hit out of the first Brit I will encounter in Poland.

Travel / Visiting Poland in May - what should I bring? [28]

Forget the gum.

He is right,Gonzo don't bother with gum.I was just messing with you.In 1987 you would probably made some kids happy with chewing gum but it's 2011 and I guess you don't want feel like an idiot.I think some Peyote would make a great gift.

UK, Ireland / UK: How to create a perfect scapegoat? [54]

I have a question, after 3 months of work in the UK I am entitled to how many weeks of GBP 250/week unemployment benefits????

And you have a problem with unemployment benefits for Polish people? What is wrong with you???Look,to most of them (Brits) you will ALWAYS be an poor EASTERN European immigrant.Wheter you take the money or you don't it makes no difference,in their eyes you are still poor EASTERN European immigrant. So what is your problem with taking the money?Milk them as much as you can.Take the money, say "Thank you" and lough all the way to home.I may do it myself since I have only 36 weeks left.

UK, Ireland / POLISH PARTY NORTH LONDON UK [28]

Don't forget to invite some Albanians (just for extra spice). lol

No need for Albanians,Albionians will be enough for Polish guests to pick up a few good fights.lol
You Brits just don't get this idea.Poles (most) don't make enough money to get drunk on pub's overpriced alcohol therefore they go out already "na fazie" and this way save a lot of money. It has been practised for ages and it won't change anytime soon.Other money saving option is to smuggle a bottle or two and pour it to glasses under the table.

History / Poles and Russians -- love-hate relationship? [209]

Another one was:
"Father, father Russkies released Sputnik!" and father says "So what?He did his time so they released him"
In polish
"Ojciec, ojciec Ruskie Sputnika wypuścili!" "No i co?Swoje odsiedział,to go wypuścili"

hmm AFAIK Gagarin never made it to the Moon - better ideas??

Right, but the joke was "Ruskie w kosmos polecieli" not "na księżyc".

sorry my mistake

no problem.
Here is a new one I was told lately by a Russian,it refers to corruption in Russian Police.
Sasha got a job as a police officer, they gave him a uniform and a gun and he went on patrol. They didn't see him since then, the payday came and he still didnt show up.Finally they call him and ask "Sasha why didn't you show up to pick up your salary?" and Sasha surprised "So you gave me a uniform and a gun and even PAY SALARY???"

USA, Canada / Dual citizenship - US doesn't care if you don't give up Polish passport [103]

Why would Polish people revolt against their own democratic country?

Why did Tunesian and Egyptians revolt against their own democratic countries.Dude just because crooks running the country call it democratic it don't mean it really is.Why over 50% of voters don't even vote?I tell you why, because they already learned that it won't change anything. Now,can you read Polish? If so,read comments on Polish sites like Onet or Interia. The anger is growing. If it wasn't for the EU accesion which allowed MILIONS to emigrate there would be already revolt comparable with French revolution. But why do we Poles have to emigrate from OUR country and become despised immigrants all over the world?F u c k that,it's time to hang Polish speaking crooks an take back our country. It's coming, mark my words.

I think you take the whole oath thing too seriously. Also don't confuse "a nation" with " a state".Am I willing to fight against Polish people? No.Am I willing to fight against the state of Poland (as it is now)?Any given day.Matter of fact I am waiting for Polish people to revolt against the state of Poland. It's coming.

Language / Need help with the Polish idiom about the weather in March [10]

po, not co.

Maybe up north they say "po" in central PL it's "co".Trust me.Funny, there was already a Brit here (Seanus, btw what's up with him?) trying to teach me Polish and now an American.Maybe I should start lecturing Brits and Americans about English?

Language / Need help with the Polish idiom about the weather in March [10]

I don't remember it, but it means something like March is like a pot, meaning we can have anything. In Polish, I think it's like in March like in a pot. Can you help?

You got it right,it means that that March is like a pot with all kinds of weather.Have you ever heard similar one about April?

"Kwiecień plecień co przeplata, trochę zimy, trochę lata".

Love / Arabs: "Polish women are easy and stupid" [132]

Today there is a pic of one of these dumb broads on Gazeta.pl.She went to Turkey to visit her nigerian "bf" which she "met" on Facebook. She was arrested at the airport while leaving Turkey because they found some drugs in her luggage.Acctually they found the stuff in a suitcase she borrowed from this nigerian after the zippers on her luggage were mysteriously broken. Now the broad is facing 15 years in turkish prison.

Law / America takes leading investor spot in Poland [51]

Like you don't have "winos" in every Indian or Pakistani owned 7-11 on every corner. You are right though, ordinary but Polish owned produce stand is better for Poland than foreign owned Starbucks or some other foreign owned s h t.

Work / Moving Back to Poland after living in Canada for 24 years. IT jobs market? [26]

Hard to believe this is the same poster who wrote things such as:

Is it really?Why is that?

Whats the matter grab a$$, you find it hard to believe that some peoples motivation maybe something other than money?

If it was only about money I would be back in Poland long time ago.It is more about corruption, nepotism, lack of justice and freedom. The whole system is as crooked as in African countries. And I don't think it's funny but lets call spade a spade, it's Potato Republic and one must be blind to don't see that.

Get of the fence buddy

I can't.Not until a revolution after which I get off the fence and go back to PL.

Travel / PKP (Polish National Railway) is a turn off [47]

I have mentioned that I have no other choice, haven't I?

You do have a choice, you can always use Ukrainian Railways. The problem with "Akcja Wisła" is that they deported you Ukies in the wrong direction, they should have move you East not West.

and yet, I've been on one between Wroclaw and Poznan that looked about 40 years old.

This is what Poland can afford and if someone don't like it there are other means of transportation avaliable like plane, car, bus, bike to name a few.
