Life / Worlds most liveable cities (Krakow or Warsaw don't even hit the radar screens) [104]

For me, there isn't really much to argue about here. Even if Polish cities were paradise on earth, you'll never have the right climate. Just check the monthly temperature averages:

Month Warsaw Melbourne
Jan -3 20
Feb -3 20
Mar 2 19
Apr 8 16
May 13 12
Jun 17 11
Jul 19 10
Aug 18 10
Sept 14 13
Oct 8 14
Nov 3 17
Dec -1 18

That makes average temp in Warsaw about 8, Melbourne: 15.

Travel / My trip to Krakow and its ups and downs. [70]

c'mon, look at his itenerary, Seanus. Then, when he wanted some balance, he encountered lowlifes. Most of the time, on a vacation, it takes a moment of feeling like a victim to write off a whole city. To his credit, he's not doing that. Or, at least he was not doing it in the first post. Damn, I like this band:

but it just sounds like this guy has a chip on his shoulder

I don't think he is the one with the chip. He described the good points of the trip, then the incident.

Any way, I just had enough of reading crap, saying that Poland is third world country and not safe to visit

then you might want to step away from this forum, until it's renamed "Only good things about Poland".

It was a legit forum question. He wanted to know if what happened to him was an isolated incident, or routine.
And looking at the replies, we can clearly see that there are many unstable people everywhere. ;)

Food / "Modern" Polish cooking (funny video clip) [21]

;) Yes, the guy was good looking, that's probably why I posted,.. because it was pretty obvious he did not know how to cook. Keeping raw chicken from the food you're going to serve raw is pretty basic. He was tapping the raw chicken with that wooden spoon, than the cabbage. And package of greek seasoning? Little paprika, oregano, salt and pepper is pretty much it, unless you want to play with a little corriander, cumin, thyme, cinnamon..

Life / People living in Warsaw are rootless peasants! [41]

True! My aunt, after leaving the village she was born and raised in, for the great city of Kielce, goes to great lengths to hide her own roots, and uses 'country' (ze wsi) and one of the greatest insults in her repertoire.

Now, considering that she knows what she's talking about, maybe there are some backwards characteristics that she worked hard to root out and prefers to avoid since then.

News / Multi-culti (in Poland) -- roadmap to disaster? [344]

does not necessitate THE SKY IS FALLING

oh, for those that think that the decline of pure white race is the end of the world, the sky IS falling!
They just keep panicking themselves.
If they were not filled with such fear and hate, it would be amusing to watch.

But a little color wouldn't hurt either.

and in many cases the immigrants work harder at being good citizens than the self righteous a$$holes that think they are entitled to preferential treatment no matter what they do.

News / Multi-culti (in Poland) -- roadmap to disaster? [344]

We cannot support mass immigration of unskilled, or even skilled workers, because our own economy cannot support ..

you know, Mary and Joseph were those unskilled immigrants, too..
People are always going to move around.
That's the price for your own freedom, also. Take care of your own kids, and raise them well.

Liberal immigration policies tend to float adrift in a sea of naivety towards how immigrants will live

lol Only to those who were lucky enough to have their parents immigrate, so they can became poets. ;)
