The rest of us are used to your insultìng,arrogant, snobbish posts.

PS. btw, did you read any book in your life at all? :)

Keep to the subject of the thread please

Law / Advice needed on why my Poland National Visa D has been refused? [49]

Before looking for help in the forum, you should do your own research. Is it so difficult to google for National Visa D refusal? Come on, why are you people so lazy?

I found this site for you:

Life / Day Care/Kindergarten in Katowice [9]

Private kindergartens should have free places, it is state ones which are sieged.

This is a state creche with a dozen branches all over the city. Only in Polish, so you need to do your own translation,
zlobek.katowice.pl/start,i1.html

They accept kids from 4 months. Monthly basic payment is 150 PLN plus food. But as I said, I suppose it is difficult to get there as state facilities are much cheaper than private ones.

Love / What do I need to know as an American about a Polish man? [15]

Well, the popular Polish stereotype about North Americans is that they are rich or very rich but they are not too bright intellectually (a typical example -Donald Trump).

Hmmm, what can you do about it? Don`t worry about the first part, being rich isn`t so bad, Poland has been a capitalist country for 30 years now. As for brightness, I suggest you mention you have finished college or sth like that - it should be enough to dissipate their stereotypical bias (if it ever appears).

Yes, cartoonish, too. I saw his paintings as a young boy and have remained fascinated since then because I have always loved comic books. :)

Yes, Olga, I saw that painting in the poster advertising the Young Poland art a few days ago.

Who had this style?

Life / In North Praga, Warsaw people are paranoid [16]

even in AMerican hoods its not like that as long as youre minding your own business hanging out somewhere wont get threats

It`s not true. Once, despite warnings, I was walking across certain area in central Brooklyn, NYC (the one with S subway route) and somebody threw a bootle at me, it hit the road sign next to me. I turned round to confront that joker but nobody went out.

Love / What do I need to know as an American about a Polish man? [15]

Polish men expect their women to be intelligent, decent, good mothers and cooks, sexy, pretty. In this order or another depending on individual expectations.
I hope you possess all or at least most of those traits. Do you?

As for family expectations, do you mean North, Central or South America? Each has certain stereotypes attached which might make a difference.

Yes, a lot of his paintings bear a nude female motif. Hint - he was from Krakow.

Genealogy / RESIDENTIAL NUMBERS IN POLAND [8]

Google offers no results - the closest finding is Baldowski.
Actually, the only Blandowski for whole Poland is Wilhelm von Blandowski, a German photographer from Silesia.

Origins of family names Kubś, Wiak and Gordon

I have never met those surnames but they are used in Poland, indeed.

e.g., Tomasz Gordon from Bydgoszcz

Life / Slogans and designs on Polish T-shirts also represent culture of Poland [25]

would this be allowed in your school? :)

Could we have a request - when you post a pic of a Polish T-shirt, can you also translate the slogan? It`s an English speaking forum and not all members and users know Polish. .

There are hundreds designs with winged riders motifs:

UK, Ireland / Culture shock (my neighbours in the UK are Polish and Slovak) [88]

Brits who come to Śląsk are decent ones, mostly in partnership with local Polesses, even thinking of settling down there. Those who come to Krakow or Warsaw are party lovers who want to have fun at the weekend.

Nope, it isn`t. It is an Austrian tram produced in 1970s, Polish companies bought a few dozen. pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/SGP/Lohner_E1

Your photo was taken in Dietla Street in Krakow close to Wawel Castle.

A really communist tram looks like that. Where is it used as a tourist attraction?

Police: Fair enough, good night. We'll contact you about car pickup tomorrow.

That`s really strange. Are Am cops so stupid?

Police: It doesn't matter. It was your car. You are under arrest.

Don`t be silly. Nobody is arrested right away.

Hey, your infantile arguments smell of another smartass troll. Get lost and try another forum. :):)

Life / What income/assets and worth, will give you a "rich" status in Poland? [22]

ha ha ha you tree pervert...

No, it is pure health! I recommend it to you with full conviction. But remember - you should also rub your body up and down, left and right against the tree bark for a better effect. In that way you will massage and stimulate sensory receptors in your skin. It is good for you.

Being a rich owner of a forest who has a daily massage on his favourite trees isn `t perversion.

you're supposed to have proper contract of sale, with the identity card / passport numbers of the seller.

You should also cancel your ownership of the car in the registration office. Once I didn`t do it and had a little problem. A few years ago I was summoned to the police because the guy who had bought my old car had a minor crash and escaped. So they tracked me down because I was still the owner according to their data. I had to show the sale contract and that was enough.

Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz.

Yes. Allegedly he was drugged when painting such stuff but it could be a self-made legend.

How about this style? (Hint': I chose one of the decent ones by this artist)

You become a criminal for a crime you haven't committed. Is it a part of the Polish constitution?

Actually, it is a good solution. I heard about smart guys who used to lend each other their cars and then race in streets and roads. They had got off with it until the new law was introduced 3,4 years ago.

You are sort of responsible for your car and car keys. Isn`t it natural?

I may now but I choose not to tell or may not remember well and don't want to put someone in trouble.

It is your choice but don`t be surprised when you are held responsible.

Izabela Trojanowska?

Yes, her best record from 1981 contained the song "Pass the brick" A cult album which I still listen to today, I recommend it to you.

That painting also looks familiar, stuff of nightmares though...

Hint - it was a male artist and rumours claimed he wasn`t himself when creating most of his art.

I have a couple of pic of Arturs Court from when I went, but for some reason, didn't go inside :(

There are a lot of pics showing the impressive insides.

Life / Slogans and designs on Polish T-shirts also represent culture of Poland [25]

I mean, it's a good way to tell everyone that you're not quite normal and should be avoided.

First, I laughed a lot but on second thoughts. that is a very radical view. :):):)

Are such T-shirts allowed at public schools? If so, Poland is not so politically correct

Each school has its own regulations. I suppose that most schools allow anything on condition it doesn`t break the law, so certain T-shirts would be forbidden, e.g, the one propagating drugs or violence or immoral behaviour etc.

They should wear nit uniforms.

My kids who went or still go to private Catholic schools have to wear uniforms. But most state schools don`t require them.

Schools in 19th century were doing a better job, uniforms came as package and look nit

That`s a really funny view. Following this reasoning, are you going to drive to work by a horse carriage, as it was immensely exploited in the 19th century.
