Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

good looking girls. Maybe because of the diet high in Omega-3 oils, the girls are sexy.

They have blue eyes and sweet freckles. They are tall, slender and beautiful blondes.

I'm a bit bored with local goddesses. How to date a Norwegian girl? ;)

Language / Word order and swearing in Polish [44]

In real life, specially when yelled/ said strongly you'll get slapped before the ending registers. The first and third especially.

Kurwa means nothing just like yyy or aaa or exclamation mark or comma and native speaker can feel the difference.

Food / Flour / Wheat in Poland [8]

Also, can anyone explain the "Typ" that is listed on each package of flour? I see Typ 500, 550, etc., but have no idea what this means.

This is a weigh of ashes (550 grams) that remains after burning the flour sample. I think you need flour with higher value (850).

Life / DVB-T in Krakow [4]

Does this mean I can receive all channels digitally for free?

I think you still have to pay "abonament rtv" ;)

Do I need to subscribe somewhere?

As far as I know you don't.

I have a TV with a build in DVB-T tuner; will this work, or do I need a separate decoder with smarcard?

Just tune in and check out. UHF channel 37, freq 602,00 MHz, antenna polarity H, MPEG-4. Be aware that is emitel.pl/strona-glowna/dvbt-krakowkrzemionki-k37.jpg (low power transmitter).

radiopolska.pl/wykaz/pokazdv_stacja.php?pid=70 - DVB-T Krakow

low power transmitter

From 6th March 2009 DVB-T Krakow increase transmitter power to 15 kW ERP.
