How is it possible to make a fortune if coming to Poland with one dollar?

The dollar from way back represented more than today's dollar. You could make a dollar stretch a week or so because stuff was only about five or ten cents. That was long enough to feed them for the first week, until they found jobs, assuming they weren't pick pockets or other thuggish criminals involved in organized crime rackets. Then, they could make money rather quickly.

Yes, but if youth realize getting involved in illegal drugs can land them in jail when older, they are more likely to leave them alone. Of course, it isn't fool proof, but it could be much worse if they were legal. There would be far too many drugged out zombies and people ODing not to mention all the paranoid meth heads with disgusting teeth.

Either way someone is going to profit. Making the drugs illegal discourages people from becoming addicted to them. If certain drugs weren't illegal in my state, things would be so much worse. It's already bad with prescription drug abuse, and prescription drugs are supposed to be legal, only you have to follow the prescription and not abuse them.

If the illegal drugs became legal here, my state would be lost in hopeless drug addiction. It would be so widespread, it would just be insane.

It is a big mistake to legalize this stuff.
You mentioned alcohol and prohibition. Alcohol is different because not everyone can drink it, it tastes pretty nasty, so not everyone is attracted to it. Not the case with drugs. Most don't have an unpleasant taste so it's much easier for people to take them. That makes them easier to abuse and addiction rates are higher.

A long, long, time ago before our births, guess what? All drugs were legal. Hmm. Wonder why they became illegal? Just because some jerk came along to rain on everyone's parade taking away their drugs? Doubt it. More like, these drugs were bringing pain and agony into people's lives, so the magistrates decided they were a threat to public health and outlawed them.

Now, we want to take two steps back to the misery that was before because it happened before we were born so we have no idea how awful it was.

The best one of all, SONY. They make the best LED televisions, DVD players, Blu Ray disk players. This computer I'm on was made by them and I love it.

I understand why you dislike corporations, WB, some of them do have a dark side and seem to be money vacuums. I want to acknowledge the good things they do as well. They aren't totally evil, just a little.

Youve got your values all mixed up, corporations dont exist for us, they exist for themselves to make more money for the people at the top.

WB, you are in denial if you think corporations have not helped. How do you think you are able to fly or drive to other countries, miles away from where you were born? You can thank a corporation for that. They make it possible for planes to fly, for cars to be manufactured, for trains to go on rails. It's impossible to have a high quality of life without them, even though there can be some bad ones, the good ones have done a lot of great things.

The car was invented by Ferdinand Verbiest, not a corporation. The Wrights brothers invented the first flying machine, again not a corporation.

Did you know patents are issued to people with corporate sponsors? People invent things but the corporations help support the process and refine the product.

Corporation based on Slavic heritage, cultural values, with some Slavic language as official. That. that is desirable

So you want everyone to speak Serbian instead of English.

So, refuse of patriotism, nationalism or tribalism leads to corporationism.

You can be patriotic, tribal, and quite corporate. Corporations believe they are doing great things for the largest amount of people. They make the spaghetti sauce and put it in the little jars so that you or I may go to the store and buy instead of growing our own tomatoes and cooking them over a hot stove for hours in a pot, stirring, only to find they aren't seasoned enough or taste funny, so we throw them out! That is how the corporations justify their existence. They help you. They help me. They organize their factories and manufacturers in such a way, it allows us to receive the products we need in this modern age of ease and convenience. This is why the corporation exists. For you and for me.

Without the corporation, there is no automobile. Without automobiles, there is no travel, no going forward.

Hear hear, BB! People shouldn't take themselves so seriously. Hell, nobody complains when Allo' Allo' is shown on TV, which takes the p1ss out of the Brits, the French, the Italians and especially the Germans. It was even a hit on German TV.

Yes, and Americans never complain when people are anti American, do they? So why should the Poles have a sense of humor about this when you and other Americans hate it when people are anti American. Hypocrite!
