Life / 80% of Polish people are boring or can't party, why? [179]

Maybe the average level of drunkenness seems to be slightly higher in Poland than some other countries But too drunk people act like animals in all countries I've been too. I don't think it's so different. Cheers, now I'm gonna take a beer!

One difference can be that in Polish clubs (pure) vodka is the great nr 1 drink. In many countries beer, wine, 4/6 cl drinks etc. are preferred more than in PL clubs.

When staying in mazury and drunk I suggested we all go skinny dippuing in the lake. It was as if i asked them to cut their right arms off.

When I was in Mazury 1 month ago, the Polish men dipped themselves in the lake like they were obsessed. Probably it was 10-15 degrees.

Food / Polish Eating Habits [87]

Aren't there pills or some kind of procedure that can speed up a person's metabilism?

There are pills for that. For example ECA (containing ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin). But it's better to just use your body to burn excess energy (calories).

A natural way to increase the basic metabolic rate is to gain more muscles. People with a large total muscular mass burn more energy (more calories) even when they are at rest.

This is interesting physiology, I have it on my exam in 2 weeks.

Pole in Poland who is overweight and eats too much. I imagine it is something that is becoming more common.

Yes it's becoming more common. More fast food and more driving instead of walking. Like USA and WE.

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

"i don't know what i feel, but one thing i'm sure of is i can't lose you, and i want to make love to you so ****ing much."

Maybe "I want to love you - but I do not, and I don't want to loose you as a friend".

Time will show. Good Luck!

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

she tells me she does not know how she feels, but knows for sure she cannot lose me, and then wraps herself up so much in school and work and family she has no time for me.

This sounds much like the Polish version of I don't love you, but I don't want to loose you as a friend.

Language / Is rosetta stone any good for learning Polish? [51]

I tried Rosetta one time. But I didn't like it. I want to get linguistic rules explained in a structured and logical manner. If I had continued to use Rosetta I would probably only get confused. But different learning techniques fit different persons.

I have been working as a language teacher in Sweden, teaching several languages. Maybe I am old fashioned, but I like the classic one; interesting dialog and then an explanation of the expressions and the grammar seen in the dialog.

Love / Are there Polish women who date black guys? [281]

That kind of scares me. I was thinking of having a church wedding in Poland and to baptize our 6-month old twins there as well.

One should remember that many Poles (esp. in smaller cities/villages) have never seen a black person in real life. This is not an excuse for being a racist, but it can explain why some people stare.

Love / Filipina having a relationship with a Polish Man [95]

I hope you guys don't have kids. Why isn't his mother beating him over the head?

Because most civilized people judge other people their personality and behavior, not skin color.

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

If you are very forward then most girls round the world are likely to be cold and aloof. If you are laid back, friendly and down to earth then most people (male and female) are likely to respond well.

Exactly.

whiteman's women

A women is not owned by anyone.

NEGROES LEAVE OUR WOMEN ALONE!

If a white woman wants to date a black man there is nothing you or I can do about that. It's her choice, not ours.

Love / Top 5 Cities with most beautiful/ugly girls in whole Poland [65]

Anyway, the standard polish girl in North West part of Poland looks like this:

Yes, they all look like that. About 25 years ago the communists made 10 000 clones of a girl in Zachodniopomorskie. So now all girls in this province look the same. It's an interesting story, but very few people know the truth.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

In Sweden we have the same kind of jokes about Norwegians, and in Norway they tell the same jokes, but about Swedes. And still we like each other very much. :) I think this occurs worldwide. And we don't take them seriously, and I guess their are not taken too seriously in other parts of the world as well.

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

we are not cold we are just afraid and keep a distance for a long time.

I think this is the closest to the truth we can come in this thread. In all countries there are all kinds of personalities. But I think that the sentence above is pretty common when it comes to Polish girls.

Language / English borrowings in Polish [38]

The Poles never had much pride in their language or culture.

Are you joking?

Hehe, some secrets should remain secrets. I grew up in Sweden and have so far lived about 23 years there (still do from time to time). Let's just say that's enough to know what I'm talking about. :)

Did i criticize swedish girls? They're a single best lay i ever.

Yes, and I said that everyone probably was happy about that. I wasn't sarcastic or ironic.

They're also into perverted things that make you wanna wash them before you do it, as of rule swedish women have 20 orifices, and thats their ass only.

You been there, done that, or how do you know?

It's true that Swedes have a more liberal attitude toward sex than Poles. But what you are saying says more about you than about Swedish girls.

colder than polish girls, not so emotional.

I don't think this is completely true about the young generation in Sweden. But it's an old reputation that we will hear for a very long time. I think we are about the same as Poles. But of course, both Swedes and Poles are "colder" and less emotional than for example people from Spain, Italy etc.

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

Zywiec is basically Heineken these days

Zywiec tastes better than Heineken. In my opinion it's the best.

There are many good ones. One of the few I've tasted that I don't like is Tyskie (even though many people likes it).

melodic

Just come to Sweden or Norway if you want a new definition of melodic.

I have to admit that polish girls have a sense of fashion and can make themselves look beautiful

This is true. Many of them know how to dress, do make-up etc., and still look natural.

Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

so what are the stereotype about american guys? I'm curious now.

It's more difficult to make stereotypes when it comes to such a big country like USA with so many different cultures, ways of living etc.

Love / Are 98% of young Polish girls emotionally unstable and mood changing? [191]

I clearly do not quite understand what the polish girls have to gain by being completely emotionally instable and changing their mood from extreme love to indifference

I would say that, in general, it seems like many Polish girls want to take it "more slowly" when it comes to these things. But it's difficult to say anything specific about what you wrote.

Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

Be macho, it allways helps :P (And not shy)

I can agree on not being too shy. Most Scandinavian girls are liberal (from a Polish point of view; very liberal), and more straight forward when it comes to these kind of things than Polish ones.

But being "over-macho" is the stupidest thing you can do, if you don't want to be considered as the local clown.

Ironic sense of humor is very popular in Scandinavia. It's a good tool you can use. But I have noticed that it's pretty difficult to use for people who are not used to it, so be careful and put it in a nice way.

But Swedes know that their country is guilty of the crime of Ikea.

They have everything you want, good quality and pretty nice prices. :) The only negative thing is that it's almost impossible to put the thing you bought together with the attached instructions. Let's just say you have to be creative.
