Polish men like submissive women.

I that true? I though the Polish women are expected to take care of everything, leaving the man free to do.. whatever it is they do: make money or drink. ;)

I would not hire him.
For the really good ones, the money is secondary - what they're actually work on always comes first.
Notice, he does not really want say what kind of engineer he is, as if it's all the same. Probably some tool hack.

it's pretty natural, flagless. The natives have the home advantage, so they're nice to those foreigners that they think will be good for them, and wish that all the others disappear. It's got nothing to do with particular nationalities. It's a herd thing, probably. ;)

There is a lot more to it then what nationalities you are. When two people meet at university, for example, it would be viewed differently then if one is trying to figure out how to make it in a foreign country because it's better than her own. I have a Rumunian friend, a genius, who studied in Poland on math scholarship. I can't imagine anyone ever thinking of her as a prostitute (gypsy, she is).

In short, you're not giving enough information to form an opinion. In my opinion. ;)

Love / Falling for a Polish guy and confused.. [23]

This morning he emailed me at 6am saying he couldn't sleep anymore so he decided to email me. He also insisted in meeting me at work the last time instead of me driving to his area to have lunch which didnt make sense to me because we were having lunch in his area. So he took the bus to my work and we both drove back to his area for lunch. I got nervous at one point cuz I caught him staring at me while I was driving.

I'm just going to have fun with one side of this story, the one that it might not have been the pure, romantic thoughts that kept him up at night. You have no heart. But Polish men know this game well, so at this point, my money would be on the guy. ;)

Lots of chained dogs in that village.

that's what everyone in my granma's village did with their dogs; keep them chained in the daytime, let them loose at night. Nothing's wrong with that. If you had to get out at night, everybody knew about it. ;)

I'm not sure if this is meant to be sarcasm or not. You know of any examples? I'm not saying there aren't any cases but there is a direct correlation between being uneducated and going into prostitution voluntarily.

All around I see women trading sex for material things. Oh, wait... that's marriage! ;)

Do priests in Poland drive fancy cars and live in mansions? I honestly don't know. A friend I went to technikum with became a monk. They all have assigned work functions, even if some involve mostly prayer or reading same thing over and over. The way I see it, some people we should take care of, such as artists, priests and others that can only function in the institutionalized conditions.

Would anyone be forced into prostitution if it was legalized? just a thought.
I also think there is some hypocrisy involved here. Some women find a boyfriend to support them, and some would rather just take the money and spend it as they fit. The fact that most of them spend it on getting loaded might have something to do with they way society treats them. I think.

On one extreme there are hoarders, on another is a completely disposable society.

I do not save papers or magazines, but I do have a place for old strings and pieces of ropes! If your kids make a lot of collages, saving old magazines may make sense for a while. I don't think I'm on my way to becoming a hoarder, but who knows...

On the other hand I also have friends that will not save anything, including leftover food. They never have a pen when needed, or matches, or a screw. They don't mind going to the store every other day.

Either extreme is bad.

As far as help with customs - does the family live in a city or coutry? Deninitely flowers for the mother, bottle for the fathers, something little for siblings, couple of presents held back for bribes... ;) Good luck!

few options: she's thinking about getting married and wants her family's approval, or, she's getting a free trip. Either way, just be yourself and enjoy. Look around and see if you could live there. And check out the mother - what they say is true more often than not - daughters do turn into their mothers, eventually.

Same as anyone who says f--- all the time in English, shows a lack of vocabulary and sometimes general ignorance. The classier Poles ( not particularly the rich ones ) don't do this!

I don't think so.
Even Bieszczady I didn't pay as much attention to as I would do right now. I remember Bieszczady as pretty strenuous, walking for days on end..
