What are good topics of conversation if we are practicing conversation over the internet?

no different to learning at school.

my family
music
work
my city
my country
education

just pick up an english text book and make a list of the topics

Australia / Teaching my friend english, no experience [8]

Any suggestions?

have him answer two or three very simple questions every day. do it by email and then u can show basic grammar, if need be.

have him watch certain youtube clips, which u suggest.

tell him to buy an 'easy reader'

have him buy a grammar book with all explanations in Polish. or get one sent from Poland.

give him loads of confidence and tell him he's doing great. otherwise he may give up.

find out what level of english he actually needs. old test papers etc.

If fruit drops onto their land they can keep it but cannot pick it even if it overhangs.

i agree with this

If the trees/hedge blocks out their light there is a thing called "ancient light" where they have the right to protect their light ie cut down the obstruction.

If the branches were hanging over their land they can cut them but must give you the cuttings.

i don't agree with this. but, if they use the 'ancient light' rule... i suppose that's the end of the matter.

I live in London so if someone that lives here knows the law about it, could they tell me.

your neighbour broke the law, but u are not likely to get back much in compensation and the other person will only get a fine, at most.

contact the local authorities, not the police.

photo evidence might help too.

i'd just run a key along the length of his car.

i wonder how many can answer how many Polish nationals died in the 9/11 attack.

the answer is six btw.

so, there are some here who will always remember 9/11. and in answer to the op i can't imagine what these families are going through today.

also Nowy Dwór is an option though I don't like it personally

i don't like it either. but, it might be cheaper. there is a bus (142 ?) that goes to strzegomska. and i suppose it's possible to take the train into the city.

also, it's not too bad for shopping (food items)

the thing that annoys me about the place is that it's often windy... caused by the tower blocks.

if the road is clear then the bus takes about twenty minutes to get into town.

a lot of young people have no idea what it is/was about. i'm thinking of teenagers.

it's only recently that i've studied photos in great detail. the one of 'falling man' and others who jumped bring it all home for me.

as it is, i'm aware of the date, but beyond this thread i'm not thinking about it.

Travel / Blood sport tourism in Poland [2]

What is your opinion on blood sports tourism in Poland, does this activity support the local community or is it just another sadistic pleasure?

out of town (not very far) there is hunting/shooting/killing deer. we are told that some animals have to be managed and it seems sensible in the case of deer. i just don't need to see it.

it also depends what is on the shooting list.

however, i'd be happy to stalk something... but shoot it with my camera.
