History / Polish hatred towards Jews... [1290]
Well, Bosnia was largely a Christian country until Izetbegovic got ahead of himself. Now, I have nothing against the Muslims there, far from it, but the presence of Muslims wasn't exactly welcome. Sarajevo is perhaps the strangest town I have been in. I met and shook hands with a nice Muslim guy there but I can't help but feel that Bosnia was changed from being a Christian nation rather by stealth.

I've been there, PP, and it's the main entrance to the camp. Polish part? The train was closer to Birkenau, the line is not evident near Auschwitz.

The Holocaust was a defacement or do you deny it happened? Arbeit Macht Frei is one of the biggest insults to the Jewish nation. They weren't there for freedom at all. Work didn't make them free, it merely prolonged the inevitable.

Nothing quite like appreciation for British employers for finding work for the best part of 800,000 people. Can you see Israeli Jews doing that? They'd see it as a threat to their market haggling as that's what many Poles do.

How about GG, Magda? I know Polish pretty well but can give little pointers about English if you wish. You could say it's in the blood as I'm an English teacher.
I tend to use my hotmail account for more official correspondence. I find GG more natural but I don't know your level.

Henryk Larsson wasn't black, Cardno. He isn't clasically white but he definitely isn't black. Some brown people are of darker complexion than he is.

Why would you want a picture of that? As proof only? Ask SzwedwPolsce, he'll tell you. It's not such a new thing. Ever heard of Martin Dahlin, the Swedish football player of 15-20 years ago? He's black.

Most Scandinavians are mighty white, apart from some black Swedes that they invited many years ago. The Poles are the same, I've seen some coloured Poles but VERY few. It gets on my wife's nerves that I am whiter than her, LOL. I don't really think much about how white I am, it doesn't bother me. I am as I am.
