Those are not activists they are MEPs paid by the Polish taxpayer. Poland has a democratically elected gov, is not under occupation, if they don't like something they have the right to organize a party and to convince Poles to vote for them, if they are successful they can induce their own vison in Poland. The trick is that have no enough support to do it and in a fact that the current gov has a mandate to rule for another two years.
Also is not even about voicing their opinions.
This resolution and atmosphere around it makes it harder for the Polish diplomacy to get results that are good for the Polish national interest.
Not to mention that if EU parliament will bring this farce to its full conclusion it would mean that all the Polish citizens are going to be penalized financially by the EU.
I understand politicking, ideological progressivism of the European establishment |(that resonate in the Democratic party), understand interest France and Germany playing to reduce EU funding to Poland due to Brexist and their costly 'migrant' policy, they looking for a pretext, and other considerations.
