I have lived in London most of my life and know you are wrong.
As for France,I have family and friends there and even lived and worked there for a while and know you are wrong.
You cannot use capital cities like London and Paris to judge the rest of the country.They are different worlds.
France's Arab and African population have been there for years......way before you were born kiddo and most of them speak and write good French,as they came from the old French colonies.In the main,French Muslims have been there for a very long time.
Yes,there are problems,but not directly related to recent events.
Marseille and nearby Toulon were "North African" before I was born,for me it is part of the appeal......as a fluent French speaker,I felt safer there than in New York or Chicago.
