News / US Military: The Army of Poland is crap. [124]

They would prefer to stay home with their families than go shoot at children.

first of all, they don't do it on purpose but like you sad above, unfortunitely it happens. Also it's not like it only happens to our soldiers to accidentally kill civilians.

I hope you realize that technically, it wouldn't make us any big difference but it's nice to have some moral back up though.

What's with people trying to build hatred between Poles and Americans by starting stupid threads as this one?

Yep, they just hate to see peace and quiet here. It's like saying, we are your real friends, not the Americans. What a utter bs.

The USA has been in many combats since the second war , so its hardly suprising they are a little more expert than the Polish army...

They also have a whole lot more money to spend on equipment...

smart and realistic observation

USA, Canada / Expat Poles swearing allegiance to the US - how did you feel? [157]

I wish you that to be true ! Personally I doubt it!

Thanks. I'm optimistic because if we won't fix it then tell me who will (and we all have problems at this time)? Huge country, over 300lmn people, I see a lot of potential here.

Their are a symptom and a tool, not the reason for your problems.

Well, it is a problem, believe me. We have over 30mln Mexicans here.

Like blaming their problems onto immigrants instead of facing the fact that their are being screwed off by their

I know what you're trying to say. Yes some of our politicians made mistakes but our politics will change soon and our next government will make much better decisions and slowly but surely, we'll manage our problems this way or another. You can't deny that millions of immigrants (especially those illegal ones), didn't have any impact on our present problems. Of course, I mean mainly Mexicans as all the other ones don't come even close to the amount of Mexicans in our country. If that was going on in Poland, I bet you guys would be feeling the same way.

Travel / In Poland, Can I cash an American Check? [14]

I cashed a check from Ireland here in Poland about 9 years ago and it took three and a half months to clear and I had to have an account.

yep, it sounds about right. We had the same problem.

Why can't you people get it. If one doesn't agree with certain things in America it doesn't mean they hate America

observing your posts, I have the impression that you don't like pretty much anything here.

There is good things and bad things

OK, tell us what you like here for a change.

Your elementary school patriotism is charming:)

rational arguments

So what's your "rational argument" for staying in a country that you hate so much?

i do agree if people don't like it so much, then leave, Americaisn't gonna change for no one.

Yep, the door is open. No one is forced to stay here.

Crap or not sweet heart you aint a native English/American speaker, you are an immigrant trying to pass America off as your home country. Hypocrisy in its finest form....

Hey, less steroids and your ability to think might (just might) increase slightly. but in your case, it doesn't mean you'll be smart.

if i offended you i apologies.

a guy who corrects others, lol

What really gets me about you is the fact that you make classic (Eastern European) English written errors whilst talking up the US like its your home country..

It's funny how you Brits react when you hear Americans talk, lol It was the same bs in Lublin. There was a pub where all of the, so called "native speakers" used to meet every weekend and I remember, it was the same ole crap as with you now. Get over it man, we're not Brits.

For monetary gains, the same as you immigrant.

According to what you just said, you must have also left UK "for monetary gains" too, right?
I understand your frustration. It must have been a pretty messed up feeling to live as a poor guy in a relatively rich country as the UK. At least now you're surrounded (mainly) with people who are in the same financial situation as you.

As far as me being an immigrant, well there are some people on PF who know me personally, ask them before coming to some kind of wishful thinking conclusions. To be honest, I don't care what you believe. It's not like there would be something to be ashamed of even if I was from Poland.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

No but it makes a man feel like a man

So you can only feel like a man when you fight? Pretty poor in my eyes.

I think Pennboy was joking about using his fists LOL

no, he obviously didn't: "No but it makes a man feel like a man"

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Not really cause they might think you're laughing because you're scared to do something about it or are stupid and don't see that you're being laughed at.

OK, some might think that you're too stupid to know what they're saying and that's why make sure they will know that you understand what they're saying but laugh anyway to show that you don't care or just walk away. Showing your fists ain't going to solve this problem. The most you'll achieve is that you'll give them one more reason to believe that there must be something true about those jokes if you choose to use your physical strength instead to your intelligence. In general words can hurt much more than fists.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

then again, people with high self-esteem don't get upset about stupid jokes and even if they do, they laugh about it to show that they don't care and this kind of reaction usually kills the joke really quick.

USA, Canada / Canada Increasingly a Gateway for Undocumented Polish Immigrants Entering the U.S. [150]

why, because he's saying what you like to hear? Yep, I am definitely a chauvinistic American and that's why I took up fro Poles so many times on PF. Yes, sometimes I'm criticizing Poles too when I feel like you guys deserve it. I don't see you talking crap about your countrymen, grubas so how come you don't understand someone who defends his own people too.

If you've had your entire life to workin the land of milk and honey, and you lose your job, can't find another one, and don't have a fat nest egg to sit on, you're a failure.

now you're talking like a typical, full of hatred toward Americans, PF member.
I doubt you ever lived here convex because you seem not have any freaking idea about the situation here.
I'm glad that my family is in a different situation but there quite a few American families struggling nowadays and someone like you, who doesn't even live here, opens his big arrogant mouth and calls them a FAILURE.

FU*k YOU CONVEX !!!

Suspend me, I don't give a damn if an obvious TRAITOR like you will do it or not.

Convex is right GH, if there are no jobs in your area then move.

It's easy to say it for you guys, both still very young (probably not married yet either), no family ties in the US (you live here but your relatives are in Europe and convex lives in Poland), you guys can move around easy but there are much older people in the US who came in this situation, with families (kids at school etc), who always lived and worked in the same area. They most likely have a house that still needs to be paid off etc.

Our government needs to cut off illegal immigration and help our own people instead to concentrate on helping everyone else.

Heh, that is the problem with you guys, you don't like numbers from YOUR own Homeland Security department

what are you talking about? (lol) I just told you that you can't google it out but it doesn't mean that Homeland Security doesn't know them. It's really unimportant if you know them as long as they do.

some guy who crossed illegaly USA-Canadian border

"some guy" lol

The ones that put away money during the good times so that they could ride out the hard times. People that furthered themselves while they could and made themselves more attractive to employers, and didn't just spend money on conspicuous consumption.

If you're American then you know that many Americans are not able to save much if at all. I'm talking about very simple people who struggle to survive even when having a job. There are many families like that here and you should know it.
