UK, Ireland / Job interview - recruitment process in the UK [26]

I feel I can fit the cables

lol well I am sorry but 'feeling' that you could fit the cables is not really enough. This is why there are jokes about Polish electricians...

as observver said, go ahead and get the qualification if you have the skills, it should be easy for you.
Check out some FE colleges.

This was tragic and terrible. the person who committed this crime was mentally ill, and I do not think his nationality was important , was it?

Food / Understanding Polish Cream, Syrup and Bacon [11]

well I suppose you will find that your 'usual groceries' are not available.
'Squash' is a British thing, the syrups are in fact much nicer, if a bit different.
I don't want to be rude, but of course things are different! You just have to change what you buy.

Work / Advice on Teaching English in Poland [709]

Oh OK...well the person who could best advise you is DominicB although he will also be quite negative and tell you to forget teaching English and study STEM subjects blah blah...however he is also an American...:)

Honestly Tom I think you would be best off getting advice from google or the Polish embassy in Madrid...

UK, Ireland / Polish Spouse VISA in the UK [9]

I dont see why not JUL, it is all EU....for now...
Perhaps hurry up and get married, and apply, that will make things easier.
Also if I were you I would consult an immigration lawyer, there are plenty in London and Birmingham.

UK, Ireland / Polish Spouse VISA in the UK [9]

As an Australian, she should have a certain right to be in the UK in any case.

no, only if she has patriality (eg a parent or grandparent is from the UK) Otherwise it is some kind of time limited working visa.

Forinfan if your friend was 'entitled' to live in the UK, (eg they had patriality) then Poland would also have been no problem. Perhaps he had drunk too much Fosters.

Travel / Buying cigarettes in Modlin Airport in Poland [14]

I am not sure but would imagine there would be a limit if you buy in the airport shop.

but there will also be an import limit wont there?

Probably best to check that first.

Unless you are going to risk bringing in a holdall full.

UK, Ireland / Why Irish women are so rude and judgemental towards foreign women? [40]

espursions

apersions...:)

I can say what I like about Irish women, within reason, being an Irish citizen myself. Thanks.
And I realise this might be hard for you to understand but not all Irish are Catholics! Such a lazy stereotype!

Work / Are there Job Opportunities for Americans in Poland? [20]

Indians generally work in international companies who are not interested if they 'assimilate' or not, just that they can do the job.
Nobody is going to hire you on the basis of your skin colour.
