I come across this kind of idiotic statement only from some idiotic Jews who I see you decided to join. As to your pride of NL's tolerance, that's funny, The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs doesn't share your enthuziasm:

The tittle is wrong, the OP has done no search and I guess the rest is not familiar with the issue, except for Fairness, a Holocaust Industry proponent.

The issue is this. Jewish organizations want Poland's taxpayers to pay, first 65 billion, but that is negotiable, for heirless Jewish property during and after the war.

"Until now, certain countries have resisted restitution for lost heirless property, citing laws that state that such property should go to their treasuries," said David Peleg, the newly appointed director of the World Jewish Organization for Property Return. "We don't agree with this assertion."

Peleg estimates the value of heirless Jewish property in Poland alone at billions of dollars.

In this week's JPost we read:

They indeed need money, it appears. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland have paid untold billions and the survivors live in poverty in Israel.

Sounds like a rackett but:

Peleg would only say that "this is achievable." He said the U.S. State Department's involvement in the issue "has been very helpful."

You have to try it out to see the reaction. Not all Polish people are used to foreigners speaking Polish, especially older folks. A friend of mine, Hi Alice, told me that when she was learning Polish and used it at a market, very often a person could not grasp her simple query: Dwa jabłko. The plural and singular thrown in confused the seller.

still pestering Poland for "proper" monetary restitution/reparations (ex. $65 billion) for atrocities committed against them in WWII?

There are Jewish organizations that are seeking reparations from Poland for property lost during and after the war. When starting a thread, you should site a source of your information, not just posting any random thought that pops into your mind.

yes, Poland was to be resettled with Germans and the Poles were next on the list.

there is never a time where he systematically breaks it down for the reader. the entire book is disorganized and for the most part, poorly written.

It is better described as rantings. Anyone interested in reading it, can read it on-line.

anti-semitism has been around for thousands of years it seems like they have prevoked
other tribes ( jewish) because they are the chosen people, sparked other religions in
the past to have hostile feelings towards them ( apparently) given this evidence I think it would be safe to say hitler was more then likely trained to believe or forced

Hitler wanted to get rid Europe of Jews, and at first there was no mention of killing them. Why? Well, he said they were taking over the culture, economic life, education, etc. and thus destroying indiginous culture. Many people in Europe said this, not only Hitler, and today many people are saying the same in countries where there is a large population of Jews like the US.

Poland had more Jews before the war than any other country in the world except the US. In Warsaw, there were more Jews than in all of Britain and France. As Poland was to be the Reich, there was no room for Jews here. For the first two years of the war there was no mass killing of Jews, and there were efforts to resettle them outside of Europe. Then the killing started.

Israel however has a huge influx of people year on year.

You mean Jewish people. I doubt you would have much of a chance to emigrate to Israel if you didn't pass the kosher test. Am I wrong? Are non-Jewish immigrants welcome? It is a great vacation destination though.

I think some Israelis would like some naives to believe they are " I'm crazy, don't come near me!" They should be criticized publicly but they are not. Europe will not fall forthis, but the Americans might. They like wars. I heard so many times in the US that we needed a good war when the economy was down.

Seanus, I find it interesting to have a Scot recommending Polish authors to a Pole. Reading the brief on this book it sounds like a very good book. Thanks.

It's off topic, but have a look at this program in Polish about Abu Nidal in Poland during PRL. Abu Daud makes an appearance, his face bearing scars from the bullets he absorbed in Hotel Victoria, Warsaw, in 1981, a long time after Munich. Gen. Kiszczak admitts terrorists were doing business with communist Poland; Jaruzelski has amnesia as usual.

I know if Poland would find herself surrounded by muslim states, we would have to have nuclear weapons aswell. And be ready to use them.

Just imagine the reaction if a Polish military historian lecturing at West Point would say that we will not hesitate to use nukes against our enemies and ...neutral countries for good measure. This is basically what the Israeli said. Is it to the point that these kind of statements are tolerated and accepted with a sheepish look because of the Holocaust guilt the non-Jewish world must endure for eternity? I say not, but help me find the critique of this scholar's statements in any major publication.

1Jola, I have learned more in 3 chapters of 'Modlitwa o deszcz' than many NATO troops seem to have in 9.5 years.

I looked up this book and it seems like a great insight to western failure to ever subjugate Afghanistan. We know it is impossible, but it would be interesting to get another glimpse as to why.

The point was Creveld is influencial.

The question remains. Assuming Israel rules out the Masada scenario and prefers the Samson Option, what is Creveld's message? That Europe must protect Israel, or the mad dog will destroy it also in addition to its enemies?

Maybe, you should had asked them.

There is no doubt that you could had seen Soviet troop movements in Poland till 1993, well into the IIIRP, as there were tens of thousands of them stationed in Poland.

Look, based on documents, the Russians wanted Jaruzelski to handle the problem. He, being a dedicated Soviet servant, and I hope we don't have to argue this point, did what he had to keep the system alive, certainly not for the benefit on the nation. He asked for help; they refused. The rest of the events we know for sure.

Jaruzelski was a traitor of the worse kind, and only recently historians have published documents detailing his career in Poland at the service of the Soviets which started in the 40's when he was chasing AK soldiers. We know their fate.
