UK, Ireland / Is there actually anything cheaper in Poland than in UK? [51]

anyone that moved house between 2005-today didnt bother to inform them about the new address

Don't you know PP started being serious about it?Many ppl got "wezwanie do zapłaty".They can charge you up to 5 years. That's about 2.000 zł.

Life / Washing machine in the bathroom of Poles [78]

you dont know who youre talking to

i am the fool that actually would consider doing stupid things like putting the blender in the sink

If that's the case - there are no regulations in this world that would keep you really safe

I think you've misread the post. I mean bathrooms without windows.

I respoded to milky answer to your post.

'building regulations' and safety will start to get into bed together in Poland, then there will be no plugs in bathrooms.

I doubt that.I never heard of anyone electrocuted in their bathroom.

Newer houses will be like mine and will have a laundry room

Laundry room is a different matter. In my apartament I don't have enough space for a laundry room.

live in communist style

Communist style? What communist is there in having your washing machine in the bathroom?

you will have a basket that can be easily carried to the laundry room...

I do have a basket that can be easily carried.I just don't have to carry it :)

I,m going to start a thread about balconies without safey rails????

Safety rails? You mean just rails or some special kind?

jon357: And what's with the bathroom window thing? There are even detached houses that don't have them.
yea it's a nightmare, beyond comprehension. When in a friends place(like this),the next morning; must go to McDonald's for a dump.

It's probably to let in some light (mostly in blocks). But they are the kind that make it imposible to peer inside.I'm so used to them I don't even notice.

And do you have a stove in your bathroom, to boil your knickers on?

No,I don't boil them (wrong material for boiling). And the washing machine has boiling programme.

And I can't imagine a stranger place to have a washing machine than a kitchen :)

I can understand washing machine in the kitchen but only when there's lack of space in the bathroom.

We're posting in the wrong thread Paulina! This should be in Pawian's Clash of Cultures:)

+1

There's water in the kitchen too - sink where you're washing your dishes.

Exactly.

I have electric sockets in my bathroom as high as my face and they're on the opposite wall from where the bathtub

The same in my apartment.

Where do you take off your clothes? In the bathroom. It's easier to have the basket, and washing machine in the same place.

Language / When is speaking Polish showing off and when is it ok? [46]

I don't like generalisations (you,on the other hand, seem to love them) so I will speak for myself-I'm proud of my country, culture, language and roots.I never had problem with speaking Polish outside Poland (of course with ppl that understood it).If somebody had problem with that that's theirs problem, not mine.

Love / Polish men :( demand forgiveness [35]

Girls know these things though.

You were right but just look around this forum and you'll realise that this argument is not worth a thing. Many ppl come here with "stolen" conversations and ask for translation.Usually it's just their obsession.

Love / Polish men :( demand forgiveness [35]

Firstly-I refered to general idea, not your situation.
Secondly-of course his behaviour was a betrayal.
Thirdly-two wrongs don't make a right. He behaved terribly and I already said that you should leave him but how would you feel if his conversations were totally innocent?

Love / Polish men :( demand forgiveness [35]

Everybody in this forum say ''I don't approve that'' but if she doesn't do that, she wouldn't find out!!

For me checking somebody else's massages, mail and that sort of thing is a betrayal.Simple as that.

Caraj
I wish you all the best.

Polish men rarely apologize and most of the time blame their wife.

I love these generalisations.

Just fooling myself I still love him :( xx

You may still love him-that's not a crime.Sometimes we love ppl that treat us badly but for your own sake-dump him.You gained 20 kg (and as a women myself I know it's not something that helps you with your self esteem) then he writes things like that(another blow right were it hurts) and all that makes you vulnerable.Soon you're going to be with him just because you'll be afraid of loneliness.Love him but from distance.

'if I have to sleep with her (meaning me), I will imagine your face.

This sentence is enough to dump him.I guess you don't want to be with someone who doesn't appreciate you.Good luck girl.
