Well, first of all Poles sneer at Walesa,

Whatever Adamowicz may or may not have done, it pales into insignificance with what collaborator Bolek did....The one that claims he single handedly created Solidarność and got rid of the Soviets, and now he is calling for stronger links.

I was at the 37th Anniversary of the Gdansk Solidarność agreement in 2017, and no one from Solidarność had a good word to say for Walęsa.

Take a walk on the waterfronts. We're talking hundreds of millions. Euros, that is. That's going to take some time......

A couple of weeks ago, I was walking along the bank of the Motława and couldn't help but notice how quickly the apartments on the other bank had sprouted up. There is serious money flooding into Gdansk and it is developing in leaps and bounds.

Of course he had a lot to do with redeveloping Gdansk. I have never said otherwise. But weren't you just saying that it will still be a big mess in 50 years.

Also, lets not forget that when there are lot of developers at the door they come offering 'incentives''....

Are you suggesting that the word Poles does not include Jews?

By your reasoning I have to include Jews as a special subset of Poles otherwise they don't get included.

Gdansk has developed greatly since I've been visiting it over the last ten years, and I would love to move there from the $h1thole I live in in the UK.

Correct...one of the oldest cities in (actual) Poland...but not one of the oldest polish cities! Small but important difference! :)

I've never seen Buzzfeed.

There was a Buzzfeed 'bombshell' which all the other MSM outlets repeated over the last week which turned out to be Fake News

Gdańsk (Dantsic and variants of that in English, though we say Gdansk now) is historically not quite Germany, not quite Poland.

Gdańsk (/ɡəˈdænsk, ɡəˈdɑːnsk/; Polish: [ˈɡdaɲsk]; Kashubian: Gduńsk; German: Danzig) is one of the oldest cities in Poland. Founded by the Polish ruler Mieszko I in the 10th century, the city was for a long time part of Piast state either directly or as a fief.

The Germans started the Second World War when they bombed Westerplatte in Gdansk on 1st September 1939

to the President's head and told him to sign the application to join EU for the sole purpose of Germans exploiting Poland again.

And everything was going so well when Merkel picked the German Prime Minister of Poland to head the EU, but he hadn't managed to get Poland to adopt the Euro before he left so the BundesBank does not quite have as big an influence as was initially hoped for.

Wonder how well you will do after you are forced to pay war reparations for destroying Poland during WWII.

You can say it as many times as you like, but it is not up to you. Germany destroyed Poland during WWII and unlike most countries which Germany destroyed, Poland has never received a penny in compensation.

Kaczynski is currently adding it all up and will be presenting a bill before too long. Current estimates are $850 billion.

The UK is becoming a nation of ghettoes. I'd much rather live in a Polish ghetto than a Pakistani ghetto.

Where I come from, if you see a white person in the street they are likely to be speaking Polish. The English have all left.

Allies or not, by D-Day, the war was over and it was so thanks to the Soviets who had no choice but to fight it.

Those nice Soviets who during Warsaw uprising of 1944 just camped on the east bank of the Vistula and laughed as the Polish forces fought the Germans and would not even allow US planes to drop supplies to help the Poles. If the Soviets had helped, the Germans would have been defeated much more quickly. In any case the AK did play a significant part in defeating Germany, it wasn't just the Soviets alone, a fact that is almost unrecognised in the teaching of the history of WWII.

Soviet Union won WW2

According to the Russians, when did WW2 start? Only after they fell out with Nazi Germany, did they become 'allies'. Like Nazi Germany they invaded Poland in September 1939 and soon afterwards murdered 40,000 Polish officers in Katyn. With 'allies' like that who needs enemies. And yet who provided the fourth largest armed forces in Europe against Germany.

From a modern day perspective it's fairly accurate to say that Germany won WW2, after all the EU should be considered as Greater Germany.

I believe that there is only one cultural power left in the world anyway, and that is the USA.

The only cultural power in the world is Islam. No one can stand up to it.

Islam splits the world into two divisions:-

Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb
