Love / Polish poem suggestions to get my girl back [21]

Lulu is a great, beautiful Polish poem that I knew long time ago. It is a poem about a guy who is longing for his wife who died.

Does anyone remember the words???

Life / Why do majority of Polish are afraid to admit their nationality? [28]

After few more encounters like this I've realized it's very common.

You had few encounters or met few Poles who either were afraid to admit that they were Polish or maybe they just did not wish speak with you. With your limited experience and intellect you can not make such broad generalizations.

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

f you want to impress Polish lady, don't use Polish language in her presence, you'd better play a role of rich foreigner... But if you really must do it, choose one of these options:

1) Chcesz się bzykać? (khtzesh s-ye bsikatz?)
2) Twoje krągłe kształty doprowadzają mnie do ekstazy (I am too lazy to transliterate it)
3) Ile bierzesz za szybki numerek? (eele b-ye-zesh sa sheebkee noo-merek)

hector,
Here is the translation of purprlewolf suggestions.
1. Do you want to have sex?
2. Your curves bring me to ecstasy.
3. Let's do a quickie.

My best advice is not to follow purplewolf's advice.

Just do what you do in your country. Also, get yourself a Polish-English dictionary and learn some words.

UK, Ireland / No job unless you're Polish [201]

Bull crap my friend. There are employers in US who require you to speak spanish for certain positions and nobody is ******** about discrimination. So what's up with that?If they were smart they would learn polish and become menagers.

I am a Pole living in Arizona, US. Yes, in US, sometimes employers prefer to hire people who speak Spanish. This practice creates resentment and animosity. I support the Brits. They should have an equal opportunity to compete for jobs. They are being discriminated against in their own country BY THEIR OWN PEOPLE. In the past, England was a great power; it has now become a namby-pamby.

When will the Brits elect politicians with with balls?

The EU is on the verge of doing away with visa restrictions on Turkish citizens. Their GNP is less than that of Mexico. Theres 70 million of them.
Give me the Mexicans anyday over the poles and turks.

I wish that Mexicans that live in Arizona would move to where you live.

Travel / Poland from a Persian Tourist's Perspective [269]

filthy dog, go back to your country"

I don't expect anyone, in this forum, Pole and non-Pole, to tell you to go back to your country. That is your bias view. I know Poles do not have same views. I am not impressed with your knowledge of 4 languages and your travels. Many members of this forum know many languages and traveled to many countries, including myself.

I welcome you to the forum. I once read that people who settled in the area what is now Poland migrated from an area that was called Persia. Who knows? Maybe, your are a distant relative of mine. :P

Life / Doctors taking bribes in Poland [76]

Shut up faggot those communist scare tactics surely work on the average Pole but not me. Whats the bigger crime not paying a bribe and looking on helplessly as a relative lives in agonising pain?

Wroclaw Boy,
Why are you telling Grzegorz to shut up? This forum allows people to express their points of view. I agree with Gzregorz. People that give bribes and people that accept them should be penalized. When you started this post, you said it with pride that you offer bribes while in Poland. Again, you are perpetuating the practice, one that was very common during communism, and there is nothing to be proud of.

(You are still a dumb f... k)

Life / Doctors taking bribes in Poland [76]

I always bribe doctors, as far as im concerned its a neccesity in Poland, not so much for myself as im English.....they do try harder for foreigners - well Western foreingers atleast. But for Polish family members i alwasy bribe and they ALWAYS accept.

Dumb foreign f… like you should discourage such practice and not perpetuate it.

Why are you so proud of your English ways?

Travel / Indian or Mexican food in Warsaw. [60]

Hi,I will be in warsaw for 3 weeks any good places to eat Indian or Mexican food???fairly decent not expensive?

Consider enjoying Polish local food. Live dangerously, :). Last year, I visited my hometown in Poland. I was disappointed and pissed off. I found many restaurants serving rotisserie chicken, pizza, shishka-bab, etc. and only one restaurant serving Polish food. The restaurant is located near the train station. Unbelievable! In the US, I can have tacos, pizza, etc. anytime and anywhere. But where I live, there are no Polish restaurants.
